India Tour of South Africa

Philander to Vijay... has there ever been a more obvious wicket? He looked like he could get him out all day.

Well it's proving more entertainment than the Ashes already! Enjoyed watching quite a bit of this over the weekend and as a neutral I'm glad it's in the balance, those early wickets have really given India something to think about.

Unplayable ball to Pujara.

Kohli needs an innings here or in upcoming tests in SA to prove he is not a flat track bully.

Feed lost on Indian TV. fecks sake.

Quite a feat to lose by hundred runs when target is 208.

Rohit and Dhawan needs to feck off.

I seriously doubt we'll get a better opportunity than this on a South African tour anytime soon.

Horrible batting performance. Same problem coming back to bite us, whenever we tour our batsmen forgets how to bat and go under shell. Best chance to lead the series and now it will be extremely difficult to bounce back.

The match was lost in first innings. This day pitch is unplayable really. Nothing much the batsmen can do.

Yup, we had them 12/3 and 142-5 and inexcusably let them double their tally. Then our batting when the pitch was at it's flattest was horrendous. I said this on the first page, this is a typical Indian performance. A little reminiscent of the Auckland Test match a few years back - flatter wicket. IIRC, NZ got 500. We got 200. Bowled em out for 100. Lost by 60 runs. Too little, too late.

Winning Test matches away from home seems to be harder than ever. India are turning a reasonable looking chase in to a train wreck. Test cricket is starting to get very predictable and surely it's only a matter of time before they bring in uncontested tosses like they have in the County Championship.
This won't solve it but it will be a good start.

This has been an excellent test match, with the result in doubt up until about 90 minutes ago.

Hardly an arguement for a full revamp

Our shot selection even this innings has been horrendous to say the least. Either we defend/defend or just play silly shots to get out. Mentality is one reason we throw away matches.
