India politics thread

you made some ridiculous claims in your previous post: I thought I' d give you a chance so asked for specific evidence to support your claims ... and yet you've supplied none.

In fact, it's painful to observe that you have absolutely no coherence behind you thinking, you're just grabbing vague concepts and random isolated incidents to validate your deep hatred for Muslims. It's called confirmation bias.

Anyways, it's clear you're just an intellectually mediocre fascist who hates the idea of India as articulated in her constitution. You are certainly not a patriot and so don't have any moral claim to call yourself Indian. And you don't even have the balls to own your shit. You're not worth my time.
I get that this is a heated debate and we're all passionately arguing our points, but please refrain from personal attacks.

Let's assume for a moment that this is the case. Isn't it still inherently discriminatory according to our constitution? There's nothing harmless about it, it was meant to be inflammatory and it most certainly is turning out that way, this communal flame was stoked to further enlarge their Hindu vote bank or to disenfranchise the Muslims further, or just as a distraction tactic from the economy that keeps deteriorating at an alarming rate. As for your comment about the "left liberals", you don't need to be a liberal to have an independant thought process and view this situtaion objectively. There are plenty of websites that will provide you with pure facts, I suggest you read up. I really don't understand how some of you are advocating for putting a large number of people through misery for an undetermined amount of time, just because you support some political party's ideology.

How exactly is Congress or any other party supposed to win in the coming years when BJP is getting away with all these underhanded tactics to enlarge their vote banks?
Thats for Congress to find out. BJP has found a winning formula and you can't expect a political party to not push their advantage through. And if its a distraction tactic then its for Congress to recognize it and ignore it. BJP just needs to share the visuals below to be assured of another landslide victory:

These are not personal attacks at all. It’s my summation of the beliefs he represents. Please don’t make the mistake of confusing.

Perversely im glad the CAA has become law - because it really shines a light on how bad the NRC really is. I remember a couple of months ago reading about a highly decorated Indian general, from Assam, being stripped of his Indian citizenship because he didn't have the papers to contest the NRC law. Like the fate that awaits millions of others in Assam. And yet there was barely a peep made in the world media. Now with the intensified spotlight with the passing of the CAA people can really see how bad the NRC is - like the Rohingyas in Burma its absolutely disgraceful that millions can made to become illegal refugees in their ancestral homes going back long decades if not centuries purely because of religion. Europe did it for centuries disgracefully to the Jews and now the Asians are trying to do it to the Muslims.

I agree that Indians will just buy lies because it supports their bigotry and Islamophobia. :smirk:

So whose lies have you bought :smirk:

Still have no clue who to believe. :smirk:

Modi has become a cult, a cult here to stay whether we like it or not. Unless Congress revamps their party and fields a strong candidate, Modi will walk away as PM once again in 2024 as well.

I always maintained this was Congress's election to win but they screwed up with everything thanks to Rahul and other opposing parties. The whole Mahagadbandhan crap and Rahul's primary manifesto being "Modi chor hai" was enough for Modi to win by default. I won't be surprised if Modi wins again if Rahul or Sonia again come up opposite Modi. Modi has nothing to do then, just scream "Bharat mata ki Jai" and "Bhaiyo or Beheno" and he will win.

Nah I don't think it was Congress' election to win. They're in too bad a phase right now to win anything.

Let's see. A lot can change. I do see more and more people becoming informed about Modi and lies, discrimination and general ineptness. However I don't feel upbeat either given how deluded, misinformed and/94 morally bankrupt much of our population is (partly due to the mainstream media). Eventually I imagine the time will turn. The question is how long it'll take considering the most effective opposition are studying at schools and colleges.

Heh, what's he going to say. We're going to implement the NRC, feck you all? He's doing firefighting. Motabhai is the one who calls the shots, and like he said NRC is going to get implemented. Bjp came in a close second to TMC in west bengal in the lok sabha. They're going to bank upon neutralising the illegal bangladeshi votes to win the assembly elections.

If I remember correctly, it's Balakot that turned the tide.

Modi always had his followers irrespective of Balakot but I remember during early 2018 there was a lot of disgruntle towards BJP and Modi. Be it demonetization fiasco or GST/HST hike. People did not like those moves and Opposition had a strong chance to topple Modi govt but it all went south with the Mahagadbandhan crap and then ultimately Rahul being chosen as the guy. Balakot just helped his cause even more but I believe the opposition helped him more than their own work.

I may be wrong but I just cannot see people of India ever accepting Rahul as their leader let alone Sonia. Priyanka may have been better but she came too late to save congress and ultimately even she looked clueless in everything happening around her. Congress really should act smart and have a new face already. The only way Rahul can be a PM if Modi steps down and Amit Shah is the candidate opposite him but even that's not a given for Rahul winning. That's how bad it is for him.

I am looking forward to the Delhi election. I am happy Kejriwal has become quite off late and is not attracting negative media on him. I hope AAP wins, would like to see them in power for another 4 years.

Bhogi Adityanath on the rampage in UP. Police entering homes by force and attacking residents, damaging properties. Even caught on camera destroying mosque windows. Bhogi attached properties of protestors took recover damages. Will he also attach properties of his police and his instigating partymen?

Exactly. If BJP do something, they're evil and people come out from all crevices to condemn it whereas anyone else can do the same action with impunity.

Really hard to figure out who is a bhakt and who's simply parodying these days.

Who are all these people? Is this a regular thing or a forewarning on what's to come?

In his first year, Modi made 25th December "Good Governance Day" since it is the birthday of Vajpayee (the only previous BJP PM, and therefore the only previous RSS PM). This might be related to that.
