Poor call not to play Topley. All right armers, didn't need the extra pace on.
Who decided to schedule this during the rainy season?
What would be the 5 over chase for England here? Surely 70+?
Yeah I noticed that earlier while toggling between channels as well. What a fantastic crowd in the Nepal v Ned game.
Sea of blue.

They have a mountain to climb now.Great to see! Many of them must have travelled far.
Unfortunately, they seem to be struggling to put up a competitive score.
66 apparently, 77 from 6

Yeah they collapsed in the middle order which cost them dearly.Great to see! Many of them must have travelled far.

Scotland must be pissed off, they were doing pretty well against England.
Yeah, I don't know much about the Scottish bowling lineup, but you'd think England would have chased that down, although the pitch was a little inconsistent. They will definetly be frustrated with runs on the board but England needing less than two a ball with ten wickets in hand...you'd fancy it.
15,000 Nepalis live in Dallas apparently.Great to see! Many of them must have travelled far.

I think so yeah. It says it's at Eisenhower in NYC.Is this the same pitch as the SL/SA game?
I really hope none of these pitches are going to be used when we head into stage 2 of the tournament. Would be an utter shambles if these pitches completely ruined this tournament. This is bullshit.
Actually that's not true. In the IPL, we moaned because it was too easy to score (although the bowling was generally poor), now it's too difficult to score. That's just part of sports in general. Fans love to complain. It's just part of the game.I do find it funny that we have low scores and there is a huge outcry about the quality of the pitches, yet if we were seeing scores of 250+ no one would bat an eye on pitch quality but rather be waxing lyrical about the quality of batters etc.
Not 100% true Hasan. Sure, I enjoy high scoring games but often those close ones, or teams defending modest scores successfully are way more satisfying to watch etc. Even on here, when scores are massive, we usually acknowledge the pitches playing their part.I do find it funny that we have low scores and there is a huge outcry about the quality of the pitches, yet if we were seeing scores of 250+ no one would bat an eye on pitch quality but rather be waxing lyrical about the quality of batters etc.

Yeah I hear ya. I guess similar sentiments follow around most, if not all, sports. No one wants that defensive/tactical 0-0 anymore, they want goals, etc etc. Like I said, personally I love a close/tight game, even moreso if it’s low scoring in cricket. But I hear your point. Crickets headed this way a long time ago, as with each passing day test match cricket just dies a little more. They’re trying to appeal to the casual fan now more than ever. There could be dissenting voices here but overall, including following cricket accounts on X, I don't think I heard nearly as discontent on the pitches then than I am right now. Most of the discussions was around the great batting performances.
I don't think it can be denied that broadcasters would prefer 250+ than 120 scores in t20. It annoys me so much when commentators say 'it's a fantastic pitch' when talking about roads that benefit batsman.
As England fans, we always complain about the pitches. In India, they are set up for spinners to disadvantage us. In Australia, they are set up for pace bowlers with too much bounce to once again favor the home team. If we didn't moan, we wouldn't have an excuse as to why we lost and as fans we've got to have an excuse because as everybody knows "Our team is the best."There could be dissenting voices here but overall, including following cricket accounts on X, I don't think I heard nearly as discontent on the pitches then than I am right now. Agreed - will join you on that.I'm going to boycott the US football WC. It's amazing how the media and social media is used to manipulate the masses...we don't have a clue what's being done to us.
He who controls the media....& all that! Double standards galore. Hypocrites, the lot of them. Because....democracy, or something.Agreed - will join you on that.
