ICC T20 World Cup 2022

Come on Engerland. Score some fackin goals!!!

Hopefully they have but will wait and see. Their batting has been mixed all tournament. Cries of the game is over is silly.
Yeah, its not over. We know a wicket or two can change things and bring the pressure back on to the batting team.
I think England will be very confident. India needs to build pressure not giving away boundaries but right now Hales and Butler not giving a damn.

Where are the morons who were saying this is a par or good score? This was always a 200+ pitch. Like I said game was over after India's powerplay.

To be honest, even if India were the one chasing and even if we more or less knew this was really our game to lose, we would be cautious about calling ourselves favourites at any stage.
Don't think we'd be trying to downplay it so vociferously and with such conviction, though.

I'm still fuming at Rohit's innings. Look at what a captain leading from the front can do.

You don't know the difference between par score for a match and average score as such
I think you’re struggling with the definition of what par score means mate.

A cricket par score means how many runs you’d be expected to score batting first on that day, at that ground, in those conditions.

So yeah India got the par score.

"the last instance of a team batting first winning a non DLS knock out game in T20I WCs is 2012 final. since then always chasing team has won"

India wanted to bat first anyway so can’t say the toss played a factor.

What's this about? Thanks
Morgan dropped Hales from all white ball cricket due to trust issues after Hales failed two recreational drug tests. A lot, myself included, felt Hales had served his time and deserved a second chance but Morgan was having none of it.

The problem is this is exactly what was happening against SL and they struggled in the middle overs so will wait and see how this pans out.
England panicked a bit against Lanka but that pitch also dramatically slowed down in last 10 overs. So some slow down was expected.

I agree as well and he should have been brought back in but Roy and Bairstow formed a great partnership during that time and Roy's poor form has given him another chance.

Hopefully this is the end of Dravid and Rohit.

Agree. They did number of things right like giving people the chances but didn't have the courage to make the most important changes.

How does the definition proves you right? 168 was not the par score today on this pitch. It is a flat batting deck. Everyone who looked at the pitch said the same. Butler chose to bat for the same reason. Hardik and England batting also proved the same. Your only evidence is that out top 3 struggled which is not a surprise for those who watch India play. I have said from the start that par score was 200 here and England probably chase that as well. No evidence to suggest it was any less than that.

Morgan leaving and Roy's form opened the door. But even during the strong period there were injuries, rested player etc. where Hales could have had has shot again (or even played down the order), but Morgan was never going to pick him again.

You also need to balance against England's performance though. If all the teams in the WC chased on this pitch, very few would do what Buttler and Hales are doing.

This is an embarrassing performance by India especially in a semi final. Their bowling has been terrible.

Not up to speed with the Indian team but surprised a leg spinner isn't in the starting 11, what other changes need to be made?
India defo need a better opening partnership for batting. They waste so many balls, watching them is crazy as if its a ODI.

Par score of 200

The atmosphere is getting flatter and flatter with every delivery.

Pathetic thing about Indian cricket is that there is no accountability anymore. As good as Dhoni was as a captain , he introduced this culture of trusting the process and not giving undue importance to one off days. Conveniently ignoring that off days happen routinely in semis and final of big tournaments now. I can already tell you the excuses from Dravid and Rohit post match.
"We played well in the tournament, just had an off day today. It happens in knockout tournaments."
"Batting got better in second half"
"We just needed one or wickets in powerplay"

India getting taught a lesson - but sadly nobody in power in Indian cricket is smart enough to get anything from it
