ICC T20 World Cup 2022

The dew makes it harder to grip though - especially for spinners. There's no other effect at play

A dry wicket gets that extra bit of moisture from the dew and the ball skids on slightly better. Lights probably have nothing to do with other than the dew being at night.

Butler and Hales making this look easy so far

Looking at Indias scorecard, their openers wasted the PP. Thats a good amount of runs. Very surprised they just stuck with it expecting it to change.
Given how many options they have its nuts who they actually end up picking.

India need wicket to change this. But look out of ideas here.

England dont have to take any chances once the PP is over and just keep it ticking. Theyve got big boundaries in every over vs every bowler. They will cruise this.

Yet another semi final failure. Atleast this time we can't blame kohlis captaincy.

The problem is this is exactly what was happening against SL and they struggled in the middle overs so will wait and see how this pans out.

Anyone else find it weird listening to Morgan commentating on Hales given we know his real opinion of the guy?

Yeah pretty much. The Spin outside of the PP got to England in the end

Where are the morons who were saying this is a par or good score? This was always a 200+ pitch. Like I said game was over after India's powerplay.

Jheez. Pandya tries to get the crowd into it, and then smash, for a four quietens the crowd.

Fantastic PP by England. India need a wicket or two.

India's bowling is very weak.

Our bowling is pretty good if any kind of help is offered by pitch or conditions. One of the worst to have on flat decks. There is absolutely nothing in this pitch. We just batted poorly in first 13 overs.

If I were a betting man, I'd put a cheeky tenner on Eng chasing this down with ten wickets to spare.
 Touche

England surely have learnt from that and will not go crazy. They dont need to. Just need to keep rotating the strike. Theyve taken a lot of pressure of themselves here.

I mean to be fair, it wasn’t a moron who said it. It was a mathematical fact that it was a par score.

The choking happened in the first 6 overs of our batting. That's what everyone was saying which you ridiculed.
The fact they are bowling pure dross and getting pumped has nothing to do with it right?

The par score on this ground is literally 165.

Par score is different than average score team score batting first. We played here earlier and scored 180+ which Bangla looked on track to chase before the rain. Plus, the pitch report today made it a point to say that this pitch looks hard and ball would come to the bat well despite it being a used surface. This was a 200 pitch from the start, people just assumed the our top order is struggling because of the pitch.
