Most people already put Kohli as a knockouts choker. And as Samid said, now he is also a group stage stat padder.
I assume you mean in World Cups/World Test Championships, because Kohli
- top scored in India's ICC Champions Trophy final win in 2013,
- scored a century against Pak but didn't play in knockouts in India's Asia Cup win 2023,
- did not play in India's Asia Cup 2018 win
- top scored in India's Asia Cup 2016 win with 41* in the final
T20s:
Kohli's record in WC T20 knockouts is 72*(44), 77(58), 89*(47), 50(40). That is, in fact, the best knockout record in the WC.
Tests:
India have been runners up in both Test Championship finals, these are top Indian run-getters across both tests:
Rahane: 199
Rohit: 122
Kohli: 120
Jadeja: 79
Gill: 67
Pujara: 64
I fail to see how Kohli can be singled out there.
ODIs:
He was 23 in the 2011 WC, and scored 35 in a 83 run partnership in the final after walking in to Sachin's wicket at 31-2.
He has indeed performed poorly in the ODI knockouts in the last two world cups:
WC 2019 | SF vs NZ: 1
WC 2015 | QF vs Ban: 3, SF vs Aus: 1
Beyond just tournaments knockouts, one measure of a crunch player is their performance in chases. And I don't think there's a better chaser in cricket than Kohli.
Kohli's overall record while chasing:
Matches | Innings | Runs | Average | 100s | 50s | Highest Score | Not Outs |
245 | 235 | 12291 | 66.43 | 41 | 60 | 235 | 50 |
Kohli's chase record in ODIs:
Matches | Innings | Runs | Average | 100s | 50s | Highest Score | Not Outs |
150 | 146 | 7384 | 64.20 | 26 | 36 | 183 | 31 |

Looking at all these stats, the most unflattering thing you can say about Kohli is that he hasn't turned up in recent ODI WC knockout games, the most accurate thing to say would be that he has not done well in his last 3 ODI WC knockouts.
Your bolded statement, of course, is completely ridiculous. Didn't really need to be said as it clear you're coming from a place of bias, but I was genuinely curious to do my own research before I called it out.
