I quite like Morgan, I think he deserves a chance to continue after this humbling experience, whatever we do in this tournament from here. Give him a chance to learn from it; give him a chance to work with Archer and Wood on a better strategy than bowling short on a fairly moist Lords wicket this morning with the ball doing a bit and let him work with the batsmen on how to gauge their approach to a given innings without trying to get over a run a ball seemingly at all times.
There are technical changes to made here and there but I'd like to see us back this current crop to get over the mental block they seem to have hit, after all they're by no means the first English team to do that.
What's Lanka fixture list? All this talk about Bangladesh and Pakistan and they might sneak in.
Tomorrow will show us if Pakistan are rejuvenated or just played the Worst South African team in WC I've seen.

I like Morgan as well but failing to get England to the semis in a home World Cup is shocking.
It wasn't his fault but he was captain in the disastrous 2015 World Cup. After that he's shaped the team to play how he wants us to and it looks like another failure when it really matters. In many ways an even bigger failure than 2015.
I think the Roy injury, the Hales drug issue and Rashid and Moeen both being terrible have killed us in the World Cup.
Ironically SL would probably prefer Shankar to play rather than Pant.

He's good for 1-2 death overs, other than that a total liability. Might be better than Junaid but that doesn't really say much.

This World Cup is exposing those who think ODI cricket can be sussed out based on just stats and rankings based on ODI series’.
The World Cup is super intense and you need players with character - it is the ultimate test of bottle in cricket IMO.
That is why England and Saffers have never won the thing. Biggest chokers in Cricket despite cleaning up series wins.
Also just need to look at someone like Amir - on paper you would always think he’s one of the most talented bowlers in the world but outside of tournaments he looks like he couldn’t give a feck and in World Cup he suddenly looks unplayable again.
There's a lot of reasons tbh , they have not played well under pressure at all and this schedule has put even more pressure on them

Chasing in world cup matches is not an easy task.
I think their batting collective is still a bit better than ours, their key batsmen are all getting into great form, and Maxwell is nailed on to come good in a big match

You can't always go hell for leather from ball one. If you're chasing under 300 it gives you time to assess the pitch and the opposition bowlers for a bit. You don't have to be trying to smash a boundary from ball one. But that's what we keep trying to do and as a result of the 4 times we've chased so far we've lost 3.
He has previously hinted that he's a bit fed up of playing so much cricket. Needs to quit playing 'home' games and only focus on Aus/NZ/SA/Eng tours and ICC tournaments.

If it comes to Bangladesh v. Pak in a virtual knock out I think Pak will go through. Although one cannot write Bangla off but still would go with Pak.

Don't agree. English bowling is just not good enough to do damage against a strong top order. Given Oz dismantled English top order bowling second, they would have been even more dangerous bowling first. Archer is a good limited overs bowler but he is not someone who is going to swing the ball aka Anderson.

The amount of good starts Finch and Warner have given them now is a bit ridiculous now.
It would have been amazing had Braithwaite finished off NZ and won that game for WI. Now that would have opened up the group stages even more. If NZ win tomorrow I can see them dropping their game against Aus and Eng. But had they lost against WI they would have required to win 2 out of 3 games and it would have been even more open for other teams to sneak into top 4.
