They were comprehensively beaten today and choked against Sri Lanka. But gotta hand it to them, no.1 for x years trophy is 
.That is pure arrogance and one of the other reason England struggle in Major tournaments. I thought the loss against Pakistan would be a kick to their ass but they again looked complacent against Lanka and were convincingly beaten today.

He took wickets after the match was already over, it was Amir and Shadab who decided the match with the ball. Riaz came in and took wickets of tailenders when the match was out of he grasp of the South Africans. That being said, Riaz has bowled better than I expected and his figures would be better had he not had catches dropped off him against Aus and SA.
Junaid's place is still deserved, what was the point of taking Hasnain in the squad? We have an out of form Shaheen and Hasan but are still forced to play one of them because the management doesn't trust Hasnain for a pressure world cup game; why is he there then? I said that Junaid should be there because we don't have a backup opening bowler other than Shaheen and we're clearly suffering from an opening bowler to partner Amir. Shaheen, Hasan and Wahab all have not been able to back him up in the first 10 overs.

Junaid Khan is a trundler. I think the matches speak for themselves. Wahab Riaz was an obvious decision for anyone who understands even the very basics of fast bowling in English conditions. Almost every expert was for the decision as well. Cricket is more than stats. You'd do well if you understood how reverse swing works and how much batsmen struggle with it. If you want I can link some youtube vids on the basics of the game.

One good match, one decent and 3 horrible ones but let's brag.

Please please don't ever mention akhtar when defending wahab, its like comparing ronaldo to lukaku.

It's just the principal. Not every player is a superstar but it's about appreciating what you have. Wahab is in the same mold of Akhtar though as a fast bowler who can swing it. He's a good 3-4 tiers below Akhtar of course.

For me there are two big problems with this England team:
1. The opening partnership hasn't functioned at all. We've routinely managed 100+ partnerships for the first wicket in the last few years and we've only managed a couple in this tournament.
2. Morgan has been a bit exposed against high-class bowling. It's clear that a lot of other teams lack power hitters in the middle order (as Australia showed today) but we're at the other extreme: we've got blasters all the way down and perhaps we need someone with a slightly better technique at number 4. Vic Marks was talking about promoting Stokes to that position and that might be something they consider after the World Cup.
Ultimately we've been lured into a false sense of security by playing weak teams over the past couple of years. We played Australia without Starc and Cummins last year and we played Pakistan without Amir earlier this summer. That seems to have given us the misguided idea that we can just blast anyone off the park.
I think he's a great captain but not sure about his place in the side as a batsman. If we moved Stokes and Buttler up a place, would he be worth his place at six? He doesn't bowl and isn't a stand-out fielder.
The similarities will end tomorrow. NZ have the momentum and are anyway the far better team.

Says the guy who called someone who has the same amount of wickets as Wahab in less matches a 'trundler'. I lost all respect for you when you said that. Your the exact type of fan you're criticizing in your post, criticizing with no constructive argument other than name calling. I never 'bashed' Wahab, I always said his international record is poor compared to his skill level because when he starts to get hit, he loses his line and length and goes for a lot of runs.
England are way more likely to do a Pakistan 92 than Pakistan. They can lose both matches, still go through and do well in the knockouts.
If that Bangladesh Sri Lanka match wasn't a washout, SL could have been at 7 points or Bangladesh at 8 (more probable). If that was the case, England would have been in a lot more trouble, but right now if they can win one, they may just get through
