If you examine the combinations, if England beat either NZ or India then they'll likely go through. Its not impossible, batting first against NZ would be very beneficial.

Australian have been pretty much flawless in the field and with the ball today . They still have a big weakness if they lose the openers early but hard to chase anything against them

One worry for India is that I think Australia have stumbled onto their best attack and it draws them closer. Behrendorff is miles better than Coulter-Nile and I think Lyon just gives them a lot more control.

Our middle order is rubbish too. Oz tail is also stronger than us. Us winning will come down to the type of pitches in semis or finals. If it is something that will help our spinners then I will fancy us for sure.

if you ask me Bangladesh have the ability to surprise India if things go their way. Sri Lanka can best SA & WI. If Pak beat NZ tomorrow, they will be live they can beat Bangladesh. It will be very close if England just manage to win 1 out of their remaining two matches

Seriously though, I know WC is not as good as no.1 ranking in ODI cricket, but what explanation can there be for England to be in the position? In form team, tournament at home and with this format, qualifying for knockouts should have been a breeze for them. I think they will still make it but this is unnecessary pressure to bring upon yourself. They pretty much need to win 4 in a row to the WC now.
Typical Australia. Peaking at the exact right time. Pakistan should really fancy this now. It's all in their hands, beat NZ and trust me they can go all the way. Eng should be gutted if they miss out on Top 4, horrific for them and no Ashes glory can hide that.
Something Vaughan keeps mentioning on TMS is that the ICC conditions are different to those which English groundsmen would routinely produce for home series. They are not the straight-up batting wickets England have powered along on in the recent past, and so they have struggled to play their A-game. It's by no means an excuse, in fact that pretty scandalous inability to find a plan B has been ruthlessly exposed on the world stage and looks to be costing England dear. The fact this team has been hyped to the heavens coming into the tournament (by the likes of Vaughan to be fair) makes it even more embarrassing and hilarious for oppo fans that we find ourselves staring down the barrel in 'our' tournament.
At least it's pretty clear now, we either turn up against two of the best teams in the tournament or we ship the feck out and let those who know how to win tournaments show us how it's done.
Still got India and New Zealand to play. The top 3 is set in my opinion with 4th now contested by Ban, Pak and Eng.

I just don't see it happening.
They look a beaten team to me which is absurd when you think it was only a week ago they hammered Afghanistan and looked certain to make the semis.
But that is England for you, whenever there is any pressure they cannot handle it.
I'm not even sure where we go after this, the last 4 years have been brilliant. Everything seemed to be building for this World Cup and we seemed ready and yet look at the state of us. If we can't win this one, and we don't look like we'll even make the knockout rounds, then we're never winning it.
Does Morgan go as captain?
Every team has looked so shaky. If not for a bit of luck even India would be struggling for a spot to go through.
I personally think Morgan isn't that good of a captain. He sounded over confident before the WC, bearing on almost arrogance. England have lost to Aus, Pak and SL. It's time they stop thinking of themselves as some boss team.
India will beat Bangladesh and SL which means that it will come down to tomorrow's game. If NZ win tomorrow then England will most likely need 1 win and if Pakistan win then England will need to win both
