ICC Cricket World Cup 2011

A could wickets here and we could have the first proper game of this WC.

Looks as though Bravo is seriously injured :(

Big miss for Windies

de Villiers has played well for his 50.

Rain has stopped play, won't stop SA winning but hopefully they can get back out there so AB can get a well deserved century.

Shocked to see South Africa go with 3 spinners but it worked well for them, i dont know if they will continue with 3 spinners throughout the whole world cup

Tahir great start to International Cricket, looks a quality player.

Windies had a chance to put a decent score which would of made it a proper game but two mini colapse hit them hard.

Hope Bravo not out of world cup but looked real bad.

Next four games all look decent and should be good games.

Been waiting to see Tahir play for a while, his first class and List A records are straight out of the top drawer. He didn't disappoint.

Having a genuine quality spinner in the side at the expense of Paul Harris will do wonders for their test team.

New Zealand have batted appallingly badly. They've thrown wickets away left right and centre. When you're not the best team in the group on ability (quite clearly) you have to make up for it with determination and application.

poor score they need early wicketseven though think aussies will chase the score with ease.

Banladesh have won toss and decided to bat, should be a good game.

NZ have no chance.

If Australia win this world cup too I'm going to vomit for days. I come on there is a limit!

Feel sick watching Bangladesh bat. Three incredibly soft dismissals. We need to put a score on the board because O'Brien, Joyce and Porterfield are dangermen who are more than capable of hauling in 200+ scores. Particularly given that we'll have a four man spin attack bowling with a wet ball when the dew comes in.

A score of over 200 should be enough. I can't see Ireland handling spin bowling.

Best occupying the crease and playing out 50 overs.

The wickets too slow and the ball stops on the pitch.

At number seven he might just be useful, but he's averaging 14 in ODIs in the last two years.

fecking awful stuff this, I'm in a foul mood. Not helped by my flatmate/landlord being very obviously amused by this whole situation. He's fecked if he thinks I'm paying rent this week.

Ian Botham's got it all wrong. Scores have traditionally been low on this pitch and the huge scores in the first match were due to Sehwag being an astonishing batsmen, poor Bangladeshi bowling and equally poor Indian bowling.

Hehe, he's a terrible commentator isn't he?

One day he'll crawl so far up his own arse that we'll never hear from him again.

7 down, the tigers are throwing it away. They just needed to bat till 50 overs and get 220+. Would have been enough IMO

This wicket is all well and good but it brings Trent Johnstone to the crease. One man who can certianly hit a big ball

Poor application by Ireland. Some very careless and senseless batting. 50+ to win with 5 wickets in hand shouldn't be that tough against this attack.

Important win for Bangladesh, keeps their chances of progressing alive.

Ireland were never going to win with a score over 200 on that wicket. It's confusing why they never took the last power play.

Joi Bangla!

Thank feck for that. We made hard work of what should really have been a routine home win against Ireland, but the important thing is that it's done. The batting was reasonable against India and the bowling was much better in this one, so I'm going to hold out hope that both click against England. With any luck Tamim will continue to be Bradmanesque against the poms and send us on our way.

The big one's still the Windies though. Dwayne Bravo's injury is not a good thing for neutrals but a massive boost for Bangladesh.

And fecking lawl at cricket's most eminent Monarchy loving, Union Jack-as-a-wank-sock Tory throwback to the British Raj, Sir Ian Botham. As fecking awful a commentator as he was a fine all-rounder. Jaysus was he a negotron throughout that entire match. It must have been hard for him to select which of these former colonies he finds more despicable, but I'm delighted to say that he hated Bangladesh more. feck knows why this bloke is on TV. He's like the fecking Ringo Starr of a Sky Sports team that otherwise sets the benchmark in cricket commentary.

 Just seen Harsha Bhogle for the first time in about a year.

Greg Matthews, Shane Warne, Graham Gooch and Michael Vaughan may have played test cricket, but they'll all go to their graves in envy of Harsha Bhogle's fabulous mop of artificially transplanted black hair.

The bloke should be held up as the poster child of hair replacement therapy.

Maybe they thought they were better off with the singles available. I'm not sure I disagree with the logic of that. I think I would've done the same.

Do you get the ESPNStar feed? It's absolute class. Studio analysis is top notch except for the filth Sidhu comes out with. Ganguly's pretty awesome at this stuff. I sometimes enjoy the analysis more than some of the matches.

Watched the lacklustre Fox Sports coverage until one of my flatmate's friends came back here drunk and I had to give up the sitting room so the poor bastard could sleep.

Watched the last bits of the game on an ESPNstar stream. I'm impressed with the standard. I thought Sidhu was in gaol?

I'm not sure what happened to that, but he should be thrown back in for murdering metaphors.
