I don't think their bowling attack is any good with the exception of Steyn. Pakistan were just dismal.

This is a game we should have won but as usual, the batters failed. Even though we picked up key wickets at times and kept the score down, SA made a concerted effort to rotate the strike. We didn't.

This is a recurrent theme with Pakistan: lose early wickets, block-block-block-block-block, take stupid shots. Misbah then martyrs himself by going for big shots when the game is all but over. Time for him and Malik to be sent away permanently.

Out of the tournament. Oh well, as long as we beat India then the moral victory will be ours :cool: (unless India win the competition :nervous:)
 
Amla is quality. My favourite batsman in world cricket right now.
 
Misbah is a disgrace. I can't imagine how pissed off I would be with a player like him in my team.

Dhawan is a good player of shot bowl but needs to calm himself down, doesn't need to play the hook shot at every short bowl.

Dhawan is over-rated, IMO.

Good player, but some people make it out to look like he's played The Best Innings Ever On Debut. Also the same with his innings versus SA. Thought Rohit's innings was better in that match.

And he drives too much. Unhealthy habit if it's swinging.
 
Well I doubt there have been many better as far as test debut's go, so the praise is justified.
 
Not a chance Rohits innings was better against SA. Both of them negotiated the new ball well but Dhawan took the next step and thrashed them all round.

I think Sri Lankan batting is great.

Not on form now, but on paper it's really good. England's bowling is top quality, though
 
I think they'll fall 40/50 short, very reliant on this pair getting them close.
 
It amuses me a bit that after labelling Wasim and Waqar as cheaters for getting the ball reverse swing, England use it the most right now.

Sangakkara is a superb player in all forms of the game. Still think they'll fall a bit short, they need 1 huge over like England's final...
