I've also got tickets for the final. How good would it be to have India v. Pakistan final. Failing that I want England v. India.

Really defies belief that they can't find place for Umar Akmal in this batting lineup. Talent wise, I don't think anyone comes close to him in this Pakistani lineup.

Absolutely. Afridi also brings a lot of energy to the team. Shoaib Malik would be nowhere near this team had it not been for his buddy Misbah.
I think it was Ramiz Raza who once said that Misbah only has 2 gears, he either blocks or hits. And while he himself will probably end up with 100+ strike rate eventually he puts a huge amount of pressure on his partners

I wouldn't have said this at the start but we might have the best batting team in the tournament. The likes of Kohli, Dhoni or Raina wouldn't feck around in the middle overs

I also feel they're under using Kamran Akmal, he's their most attacking batsmen.

tbh KM the run rate is still well within reach. If Misbah stays till the end and gets support he'll win the match for them
This is where you wonder about their intentions. It would be interesting to know how many games Pakistan have won when Misbah have been top scorer.
How many of his partners get out due to pressure put on them by Misbah? It's a recurring theme.
I agree and I mentioned it in post92 as well. Misbah doesn't seem to realise that not everyone is either as good or as calm as him. Did this in the SF of the world cup as well
Yeah.. rotating the strike is very very important in the ODIs compared to either tests or T20s.
It's odd, before the tournament started I thought we had a weakish team but having seen all the others, we measure up well. Main plus as I said earlier as well is that we have almost all the batsmen in good form.

AB has rotated his bowlers superbly. I am extremely surprised that Pak have not attacked the spinners with more intent. They should have been drooling over those 20 overs of spin

This is a typical Misbah innings. No rotation in the middle overs and then take risks in the final 15 overs. Poor from the captain.

Misbah would still get into the Pak side, not enough good Pak batsmen about. He should play either at no.3 or 4 though.

I think they should build a young team without Misbah. He's a negative influence.
