Not really. Waste of resources.
Yes let's save some time
When Sharma got out India were 138-1 off 25. I wouldn't say thats express, but it's hardly slow either and leaves a team well set to accelerate. Teams have scored 400+ (including India) from worse positions than that. It was Kohli's duck, 7 off 33 or something shite like that from Yuvi, and Dhawan being unable to accelerate that cost India and they still got ~320.
I know India are slow starters (in fact I think they're the slowest in the world), but there was no reason today why they couldn't have got a much bigger score than they did and it was the middle overs that cost them.
Middle overs were poor against Pakistan too tbh. I think the problem is that even Yuvraj & Kohli need time to settle in (Kohli only accelerates at the end), so I'd personally Kohli out there for India around the 15th over.
Wow what a result!!! Sets the final games up beautifully. Just hope the weather stays clear.
One good thing being an Indian fan is the weather doesn't matter for us. A rained out match means we're through.
We should be looking at 350-ish scores with our batting. And with a hood start it shouldn't be that tough an ask. This isn't the 90s any more where teams are psychologically beat if you make 300. Most teams fancy chasing 300 these days. Maybe we should consider promoting Pandya as a pinch hitter to quicken the rate while allowing the others to get settled.
That said, I thought we had the bowling to defend 300 against a fairly average Sri Lankan team.
My first experience watching a match live. Loved it. Sri Lanka batted beautifully and took the game away. Thought the two run outs would change the match in India's favour but were let down by Jadeja, Umesh and Pandya's bowling. Yuvraj was any day a better choice than Kolhi opting for the ball himself. Not sure why Ashwin did not play. Loved Dhawan and Dhoni's partnership. Thought 321 was tough to get with India bowling well in the first 14 odd overs.
Indian and Sri Lankan support was fantastic. The dhol tashas and the Sri Lankan drums and trumpets made for a great atmosphere. A very enjoyable day except for the result.
Glad you enjoyed yourself mate - some of those shots in the Sri Lankan innings were insane.
Surely even Bangladesh by their bottling standards can't mess it up from here?
Fly it proudly!
"India said its a practice game for them"
Is this true? If so then the arrogance on display is astounding.

The champions trophy format is a brilliant fit for 50 over cricket.
There are 8 teams in cricket all of whom can beat any of the other.
Bangladesh are going to be a powerful force in cricket over the long term.
Bangladesh got a good team all that they need now is good coach who can elevate to next level similar to what Sri Lanka got with Whatmore in 90's.
Sure will check those.Bangladesh have an excellent coach already by all accounts. Chandrika Haturasinghe is highly rated and credited for their rise. Just look at the record before and after he took over.
He was part time coach of Sri Lanka and Sangakarra pushed for him to become full time, but SLC rejected it. There was an interview in which Sangakarra called him a brilliant coach and a big loss to Sri Lankan cricket.
Doubt it would be anyone in team. Probably the fans or the indian media.
I love the Indian cricket team. Obviously i support them. And i love the competitive nature of Kohli too. But really some of the fans and media i hate. They talk as if India is the greatest team of all time and been dominating cricket since its inception.
Its weird to say but sometimes i want India to lose just so these fans can shutup.
But yes, at this moment we are playing some good cricket but that doesn’t mean that we play with arrogance as a team. We respect every team same way and intend to play the same kind of cricket with everyone. In this sport, anyone can upset anyone on their given day. This tournament featuring the top eight teams in the world, you certainly cannot even think of taking anyone lightly.
He said Social Media so unless any of the players tweeted anything, he is most likely reacting to some media/fans.Based on what the sri lanka players are saying, it came from the indian team. I doubt they would have been so angry if it was the media and even less if it were the fans.
