ICC Champions Trophy 2017

We should rethink our approach at the top. I'm not sure sure batting with so much caution is necessary and might cost us against the better teams

Yeah i agree. It's a waste of resources being so cautious coming out. Make use of that first power play, and make use of the fact India bat deep as feck.

Wasn't really the problem today. You started well and were scoring quickly enough. It was a good recovery by Sri Lanka in the middle overs that reigned it back in.

Fantastic start by SL.

Is there a reason why Yuvraj never ever bowls now? Jadeja getting hit and Pandya having to always bowl 10 overs is surely a worry. Don't have Raina there to perhaps bowl an over or two either.

Yuvraj is a decent options in slow wickets. In flatter tracks with windy conditions he is not very useful. He isn't a genuine spinner. Just a slow flat bowler. Remember Mascarenhas hitting him in 07

Yeah I'm not saying he should bowl loads, just an over or two. That medium pace bowler for SL got a fair bit of skid off the wicket and I feel like Yuvraj could perhaps get something from that as he is basically a skiddy type bowler

Suicide second run, utter stupidity.

 autocorrect you lads are fast.

That slog sweep for 6 .

Apart from the crazy run outs been a very good chase by SL made it look so easy .

so will this make the next round of matches in the group a quarter final? Or is there some room for utilizing the NRR?

All quarter finals.

NRR comes into play if rain washes out 1 or more of the matches.

NRR does also mean that as long as India v South Africa is not a washout, England are guaranteed to play one of Pakistan or Sri Lanka.
