Ibrahimovic + Thiago Silva

Mental, i'd like to see who AC will buy with all that money though, Balotelli?

SSN 'sources' were linking them with a(nother?) move for Tevez - which is hopefully true as I'd really like him to feck-off out of the league. It's too much having Terry, Suarez and Tevez to put-up with over a season.

Ibra his negotiating to have a net salary of 14.5 millions of euros yearly.François Hollande wants to install a new rich tax (people who earn more than 1 million euros yearly will givey up to 75% of those earnings to the government) and Ibra wants PSG to pay those taxes and not him.He wants to earn the 14.5m at a 100% rate.

Not that this is the thread, but I was under the impression that was more of a campaign statement rather than an actual commitment, and has little chance of actually happening?

If he's moving for money, which he most likely is, then fair to play to him got bleeding the cnuts dry

Whether it'll happen or not is really up for debate. It's something that gets often mentioned in medias and has (rich) people worried about.Ibra is just using as an excuse to get as much money as he can from basically entering a per-retirement phase of his career.
My personal opinion is that it will happen, the government will need to get money (taxes) from every possible mean

For even coming up with an idea of taxing rich people 75% he needs to get his head examined. Everyone should be taxed the same and it should be nowhere near that. It's 19% for everyone in Poland or 18% below 90k PLN a year and 32% beyond that if you choose so.

Without sounding disrespectful thats ridiculous and not even remotely fair. Someone on minimum wage being taxed the same % as a multi-millionaire is hardly the same. For the former its a huge amount of money, for the latter its peanuts.

Edit: I missed your edit.

It's not ridiculous at all. You shouldn't be punished for earning more money and that's exactly what it is. If you're on £10k a year you pay £1.9k tax, if you're on £100k you pay £19k - it's all relative, it's not like you're taxing everyone the exact same amount, it's a percentage of income.

Taxing the richest people 50%, 60% or 75% is ridiculous, you literally punish them for being good at their jobs. Not to mention they actually have less money so they create less workplaces and spend less so it indirectly hurts the poorer too.

Really dissapointed this is actually happening. No disrespect to PSG or The French League but i would much prefere to see these two players either stay in Italy or if going anywhere to go to the Prem.

Absolutely. Sad to see 2 top quality players leave the top leagues for money(both club and player) specially Silva.

It'd be very interesting to see what Milan do with the funds though. They'd do well to get Tevez, cnut that he is, he's a very good player. Enjoys being the main man which he will be in Milan's strikeforce.

Pay off the debt and sign some younger players and probably one star. They're in a pretty dire state both on the field and financially, it'll take some time to return the glory of 2003-07.

Yep, thats for sure. They arent thinking short term though, that much is evident from the sales. If they can get Tevez + few young players, they'l do well. They've got a massive chunk out of their wage budget this season so they'l have money to spare.

It's not a punishment, it's called contributing for the country's benefit. It's how they explained it anyway.

feck Tevez, he'll cost a bomb and eat a large portion of their wage structure while probably contributing little after he gets bored with Milan after half a year. Spend the money on someone younger or just hope that Pato, Cassano and Robinho stay fit and provide enough goals. Dzeko would be a decent buy if they could get him for less than £15m.

Yeah, so politicians can earn more and they could employ even more redundant government workers. feck this, VAT and crap like that is enough. Tax people 75% on top of 23-25% VAT they have to contribute with each purchase they make and silly taxes on petrol and you're basically taking away 85-90% of what you're really earning. It's stupid as feck.

Eh? The higher their income, the more money they have. Tax might make up a greater percentage of their earnings but they'll still be better off.

The problem with Tevez is that he'l want to feck off after a season or so. I dont think price would be an issue for someone of his quality if we wasnt that big a prick. And by prick i mean someone who gets homesick every summer only to want to move to any other club in another league. Dzeko would be a good buy too but he isnt in Tevez's league and after Ibra's left, they'l need quality there. I dont think Pato+Robinho+Cassano is enough personally. They need 1 quality player in there to hold the other 2 together.

Yeah, but if you earn £100k and get taxed 19% you still got £81k. If you're running a company you might want to employ an additional worker because you can afford to, or you can spend that money on goods and re-distribute it among society yourself. If you get taxed 75% you're left with £25k (yeah I know it'll be £32k or so really) and opportunities are more limited.

Join the republican party in america. A flat tax is regressive and Trickle down economics based on less taxes on the wealthy does not create jobs nearly as much as you laffer curve worshiping cnuts say it does.

As for driving away wealth, i'm sure the wealthiest french from the 16th are going to come running to the shithole that is Poland.

Yeah, nothing like calling the country you've probably never even been to a shithole. Congratulations.

So now AC will sign either Tevez/Dzeko meaning a space opens up for them to sign Van Persie. Why don't AC just go straight for Van Persie? He'll fit in great there

Wages, he'll have to earn €150k+ a week and Milan won't be able to offer that. In a year when he's available on a free they could probably offer him that as they'd be keeping the fee of £20m+ they'd normally pay but this year? No chance.

Sky Sport News reporting the deal for Ibrahimovic as good as done. Transfer fee around 20 mio. € and earns 14 mio. € per year.

What is Milan going to do with all the money now?

order a stable of high class italian whores and a boatload of snow for burlesconi and cassano to tear through.

€20m isn't much to be fair, they probably won't find a proper replacement for that kind of money. City will want more for Tevez and probably even Dzeko. €20m could probably buy Lewandowski.

He's presently getting EUR 11 million net at AC Milan - that contract has 2 more years. Under the proposed new tax he would net EUR 3.625million a year. That's a non-starter

I think a tax for rich people should be 99%, he'd take home £140k which is enough and £13.86m would go to the government.

If that were the case Ibra wouldn't go there and the French gov't would forfeit the tax revenue associated with his wages.

Or maybe Ibra would get 14million net, and the Qataris would pay 56million Euros to the French gov't in tax... per annum.

Can see why it's taking so long to negotiate this transfer.

Just heard about his wages. Mental.

On 12m euros after tax at Inter. Wants 14m after tax at PSG which would mean it'd cost PSG around 30m a year just in wages.. for a (nearly) 31 year old.

If they have that much money and that little sense, can they please bid 200m euros for Rooney?

Well I mean they also sold Thiago Silva to PSG for around 40 mio. € and with both players off their wage bill they should have quite a bit of money over to spend.

They also let go of a lot of their high earning oldies last year.

Should be interesting to see if they can bring in some good replacements or if they will struggle for a few years now until the transition of the squad is done.
