Ibrahimovic + Thiago Silva

Sirigu
Tiene Alex Silva Maxwell
Bodmer Matudi
Menez Pastore Lavezzi
Ibrahimovic

I would assume that. Maybe Sakho for Alex.

That teams not that scary to be facing in the CL next year, to be honest.

Yes, some world class players there, Ibra and Silva, with Lavezzi also being a top player. Pastore isn't the worst, but he isn't great either. Alex is a good CB.

But the rest, apart from Maxwell, I have no idea.

Could be wrong and Bodmer the next scholes, Matudi the next Carrick etc, but I don't think they are anywhere near challenging the elite in the knockout stages.

Although with that defence and attack, they should be in a healthy mix for being likely to make the knockout stages.

If true, would love Barcelona to pursue him

Under Ancelotti he's been so bad that Carlo no other choice to make him a permanent substitutions. This kid got put a lot of pressure on by being made a captain of PSG so young.People are realizing he may not all that

Probably doesn't show the tactical discipline Carlo's accustomed to...Still rate his potential as being quite good but if the captain is heading to the exit from his hometown club...well, that's just not a very promising sign either

Those moves will kick start something, I'm sure. Milan to re-sign Kaká.

In other news: the akward moment when you realise Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva cost 4m pounds less than Andy Carrol and Jordan Henderson.

No room for top scorer Nene? I always liked him.

nono to nene.

He would probably take menez position if anything, but lavezzi will surely start over both.

Why would he be a shoe in? Nene plays the same position but has scored more goals in 2 seasons than Lavezzi did for Napoli in 5.

Nene was given a new contract but it is said he refused to sign as he wants to earn more money. He's been PSG best player for the last 2 seasons but somehow in this ruthless, I wouldn't be surprised if they were to let him go.
I think he'll stay, he's far too good on his left side, better and different player than Lavezzi.

PSG thought that last season too but Montpelier along with a miniscule budget had other plans

I was being facetious but Ibra will definitely have a field day in France.

PSG needs a year or two to gel as a side much like City needed. Now they have that and just added two of the world's best players (if not the best) at their respective positions.

Montpellier was the sort of fairy tale that only happens once every 10-15 years.I realistically see them as a third as the end of the season as apart from Giroud, they have kept everybody else.
Lille has used the Hazard money very cleverly and has signed some good players.

Liverpool were obviously paying for long-lasting mediocrity!

I don't get it, surely it's reasonable? Carroll and Henderson were both in their early 20s. Zlatan will soon be past his best and Thiago Silva realistically has 5 more years at the top.

Would you rather pay that kind of money for two of the best English talent, possibly one of the best young players in Europe in their respective positions or for two older players who won't serve you that long?

I certainly wouldn't splunk that kind of money on two average and overrated English players. PSG will also make millions on merchandising from Ibra and Silva, and those two will win matches - Carroll and Henderson do not. In this case, experience far outweighs youth/potential. You know what you get with Ibra/Silva.

Now if you said young players like Pastore (they did) and someone like Subotic (never know) I would defintely agree with you.

Yeah, I knew what you meant and you're pretty spot on...PSG looked sooo mediocre so often for me but Silva & Ibra are ultra competitive players, they aren't likely to stay sloppy...A lot of egos on that team too which will not be an easy task for Carlo but I suppose the Italian has a good a chance as anyone with mostly Serie A talent

I find it a bit sad to be honest. Two of the world's best choosing a lesser league while in their prime simply because of the money offer. Ibra/Silva should still be playing in a top leauge like England, Germany, or Spain (discounting Italy with the current problems).

They will win the Ligue 1, I have absolutely no doubt about it.They came really close last year and it was their first real attempt at competing for the title in years.Ancelotti is bringing players who are proven winners and big time competitors (Motta in January, Ibra/Silva if it works out, Maxwell ...).
PSG will win the Ligue 1 with some ease, they'll be interesting to watch in the CL.I don't expect them to get past the group stages specially with their coefficient

I think Henderson has the potential to become the best midfielder England has produced in this decade and Carroll is among top 10 centre forwards in the world for me right now. Both were worth every penny as proven by Liverpool's season that ended with one major trophy and a final in another competition.
