Television How I Met Your Mother

It has become consistently shitter ever since the third season. The last season was awful.

Stella entered the show nd it became crap.

It's the least "funny" funny show around right now.

Was it just me that hated Robin more and more with each passing season?

Stopped watching it regularly a couple of years ago, and won't watch at all this season.

Friends in a bar than a coffee house. Annoying show. That guy, Ted, is it, gets on my nerves.

He's the most unfunny lead character in a comedy show I've ever seen. The only thing that made HIMYM bearable was Barney and he couldn't save the show for as many seasons as they've tried to milk out of it.

I started watching it because of it was the show before Simpsons in star world channel, also Cobie Smulders

It's a decent show, and everything apart from the episodes that focuses on Ted are watchable.

Up until HIMYM, I thought Ross from Friends was the most wimpish unfunny miserable cnut to ever grace the sitcom world and be embraced for it but this guy beats him hands down. At least Ross picked up his game later on.

Agreed. How long can you laugh on the same gags or at least the same premise. They should have done the decent thing and ended it a season or two ago by leading up to reveal the fecking mother.

Robin is fantastic to look at though.

Yes.

The show is a good way to pass the time, but it's a perfect example of American shows dragging on too long, especially egregious because they stuck in a deadline from the beginning. It makes me wonder about Community actually, because they're supposed to be at Greendale for four years, I worry about them making some excuse to keep it going.

Watching first episode of the new season, pretty good so far.

Saccharine tripe, why is it when sitcoms get into the later series writers give up trying to be funny? They just seem to assume that we care so much for the characters we're going to be content with Hallmarkesque moments.

I'd never seen it before until a few weeks ago when I watched it all afternoon. It was random episodes and it was something to pass the time. I mostly wanted to look at Cobie Smulders though.

Barney is a pretty cool character though.

Yup much better start than I expected.

It was quite good actually, surprisingly so. The dance scene was idiotic but stuff like Beercules and Barney trying out new chat up tests made me laugh.

Agree with this. Beercules was fantastic. Barney going through his previous lies were quite nice too.

I don't know what in this show makes people laugh anymore? It's just a family drama with barely any humour.

I think I'm done with HIMYM.

If I wanted to watch some freakish male adaptation of a romantic comedy I'd just watch the chick flicks, they do it better.

This episode was possibly the biggest cringefest I've seen this year. The main (Ted) plot was transparent to the point of offending my intelligence and the secondary plot (Barney's) had so much promise but Lily overacted it so bad I actually cringed.

On that note, I know Josh Radnor gets paid a pretty decent amount but does anyone else feel like they'd just leave the show? He has to be the worst written lead in a sitcom ever, regardless of how good or bad Radnor is.

It has turned into garbage. Why are the even pretending that the bride is anyone else than Robin is beyond me. Actually bride may be someone else possibly Nora but then you wil have Robin crashing it and getting back with Barney, welcome to friends circa 98? At least they did it first and better.

I'm pretty sure old Ted has been saying 'your Uncle Barney and Aunt Robyn' to his kids since day one anyway. Though I also remember him saying to his kids that Uncle Barney and Aunt Robyn weren't together, so I reckon it could be Nora. I hope it is Nora, Robyn is annoying. Of course none of this factors in the consideration that, at this point, I really couldn't give two shits either way.

WOW, after years of watching this show, that's the first time I seen his name. Its no wonder, that the other 4 cast members have done other projects, while I dont think he's done/doing anything on the side. Lily is such a bad character, she didn't ruin the episode, and the way she says "son of a bitch" is so cringe-worthy.
