Television House of the Dragon (GoT Prequel) - No book spoilers allowed

I think that she had had enough of seeing her family die around her and decided she had lived long enough. I think strapping herself in and going back was a suicide mission. Either she finished the war there or the war finished her. Her real mission in the series was stopping her family tearing itself to pieces and she failed to do it.

It makes the whole scene sadder if you think of it like that.
Was fecking unfair on the dragon though, no need to drag an innocent dragon down because she was fed up.
Fuming here.

I think she genuinely felt that she could take out Vaghar too, already wounded him with the scratch attack, she wanted to finish the job. Then one eye gets her with the sneak attack, only then did she realise she was a goner.

Great episode although I'm getting to distracted by seeing all the locations on Anglesey. Penmon Point this time. I used to fish off the wharf there with my dad and Brothers.

Fat bitch

Could stand to lose a few.

When I watched the episode I was thinking that Vhagar looks so slow and lumbering, that it would almost be a disadvantage. Like why can't the other dragon that is much more nimble simply outmaneuver it?

Why doesn't the smaller dragon simply eat the other dragons?

1. Bastard never should have Vhagar at first place
2. Rhaenys should have burn them all when she had a chance.

Nevertheless, Rhaenys is a great character and maybe best written one. She would have been the great queen.

I just can't understand why the CGI dragon I'm rooting for doesn't beat the CGI dragon I'm not rooting for. Surely the CGI people could have rendered it like I want it?

I want the Mike Smalling off RedCafe cut.

It's coming, and I can give you a smaller spoiler. In my version Criston Cole is not selected for the Kings Guard in season 1. He therefore has to take up work as a rat catcher in the red keep.

Feels unfair to nitpick the dragon fight buuuuuttt... I see I'm not the only one who didn't like the choices Rhaenys made. She was ambushed 2v1 with Vhagar. Somehow managed to kill the king and his dragon, gets away and turns back. Has a go. Looses track of Vhagar (How????). Does another u-turn, appears to be flying out to sea towards Dragonstone (she deciding to leave now?). Then she gets hit with the classic large dragon jump scare. In her defence that is impossible to predict (impeccable luck / timing). Even if she still wanted to fight, surely getting up high would be the smart move instead of flying around at nearly ground level.

I felt they could have done it differently. Just have the 2v1 end with Rhaenys losing, have her try to flee and get chased down, have something happen where she has a distinct opportunity or advantage. I feel like the tried to shoehorn in cutesy moments between her and the dragon and have her go out on her own terms or something like that. I'm not really sure.

Yea that Rhaenys death was a bit stupid given how good the previous fight was. It was pretty obvious what was going to happen as soon as you saw the castle in front and her passing by it. I don't get why she wouldn't have tried to fly higher so that he can get a better view rather than fly so close to the ground. Anyways, I agree with one poster that it seemed she was accepting her death when she turned back even after seeing Vhagar, so her death isn't as sad as say that kid from the season 1 finale.

Vhagar is a beast though, can't think how the writers can kill him given how much smaller the other dragons are.

Also, given they didn't fully show the body, it'd be fecking stupid plot armour if the King survived that fall and is still alive while Rhaenys is dead.

that’s reassuring. those wanks don’t feel so guilty now.

Just finished ep 2 of season 2 and 50% of this season is just Alicent and Criston Cole getting it on. Should have just made a porno and released it on pornhub.

What happens to the dragon / who claims it next if the current rider dies? Aemond being shanked in his sleep is much more likely than anyone killing him whilst he's on Vhagar.
