Television House of the Dragon (GoT Prequel) - No book spoilers allowed

I like how the most tender, heartwarming moments are between these people and their weapons of mass destruction - Rhaenys' last embrace, Aegon getting a boop. There's almost a Dr Strangelove quality there.

Rhaenyra needs to shape up as a wartime queen; the way Rhaenys was holding her own it looks like they just lost one of their most important assets.

Anyone else slightly bothered by the amateur looking cgi? Way worse than GoT and looks like smth out of 20 years ago.

You think so? I actually thought the opposite, at least the dragons look better IMHO. Of course this season also has a lot more dark environments it feels so that makes it easier to hide things a bit that don't blend with the real world very well otherwise. GoT had some atrocious CGI like the dire wolves for instance, or even something like the King's Landing aerial views.

When Daemon was seeing ghost Rhanera and cut her head
the animation looked liked smth out of PS3

Several episodes ago, Rhanera climbed down from her dragon looked incredibly weird .

That was absolutely class. Peak Game of Thrones.

why do I get so sad when dragons die? They’re just cgi! :(

I hope Aegon isn’t dead, though it’d take a lot of plot armor to survive that, he’s the best character in the show now. I’m assuming he’s not, Sunfire still breathing and not showing a close up of him surely leaves it open enough.

Brilliant, they nailed it. The 'slow' build up to that might not be appreciated by many but I think has been really well done.

Judging by Cole's reaction, I'm assuming he's very dead.

If he’s dead, why did Aemond draw his sword and then put it away again when Cole called out? I assumed it was to finish the job.

Didn't realize we didn't need spoilers in this thread ha.
But yeah you have a point there. Too bad for Aegon they probably can't make him a Darth Vader suit.

Think I haven't closed my mouth for the last 30 minutes. What an episode.

Brilliant episode. I reckon he will have survived.

That one-eyed cnut has taken out 3 dragons now and one great character in Rhaenys. He better die screaming and not get some "cool" death.

Currently doesn't look too good for Moanira. I wonder how the tides are supposed to turn.

On the CGI stuff, what do the people complaining about it consider good CGI? I thought it looked great.

He's who Damon thinks he is. He's cool af even though he's on the wrong side.

So how many series is this going be? I hear season 3 has been greenlit but will this cover the full plot or will a 4th season be needed?

Please don't refer to the books though?

Think 4 seasons.

How many dragons are left now then on team Black?

4 plus some unclaimed ones? Where's that big one chilling that Daemon went seeing last season?

Damon isn't stupid enough to kill/maim 1 of the 2 working dragon riders you have on your side, it looks cool but is stupid. Vhagar can't be everywhere and now the greens have only the 3rd brother who is never around left as a dragon rider and only 2 dragons on their side.

That's Vermithor - the dragon last ridden by King Jaeherys (great-grandfather to Rhaenyra & Aegon II). No one has ridden him since the old king died and he has been chilling in a cave on Dragonstone since.
