Horse racing tips

Yeah I though the value was with Tawhid but I felt Montridge would win (wanted about 2s though so no bet). This mile is a nightmare, I can see an outsider popping up - plenty dangers.

I'm just watching... I don't fancy Tickled Pink but I can't find a reason for any of them to beat her. Swiss Spirit will find one or two too good, Kingsgate and 3yos too much weight, Masmah and Firenze lack a bit of class.

Swiss Spirit, Smoothtalkingrascal and Bungleinthejungle would have my money. All three drawn high and should race prominently. Bungleinthejungle has CD form and if he can match his previous efforts of last season, he'll offer good each-way value at 20/1.

That's two races I've felt 3YOs weighted up but they've romped home.

Word from back home for Dancin' Glory @ 20/1 in the 8.25 at Galway this evening. Handicap debut and goes well on heavy ground, the low-key trainer had a 2nd at the Festival already this week (Dancin' Glory's half-sister) and looks well treated with an apprentice to take off a further 7lbs.

I'm only passing on the information. Do with it what you please. I had a each-way nibble anyway for interest.

Don't know how reliable,

AUSTRALIAN jockey Simone Montgomerie has died as a result of injuries sustained during a fall at Fannie Bay racecourse on Monday.
Montgomerie, 26, who was riding Riahgrand in the sixth race on Darwin Cup day, fell inside the final furlong when prominent. Reports suggest her saddle may have slipped. Her death was confirmed by the National Jockeys' Trust less than half an hour later.
The remaining three races on the card, including the $200,000 feature, were abandoned.
In a statement released on their website, Darwin Turf Club chairman Brett Dixon said: "Simone fell and sustained traumatic injuries. She was transported from the racetrack to Royal Darwin Hospital with St John Ambulance. Attending to her were two doctors assisted by paramedics.
"It is with great regret that we were advised by the family that Simone passed away shortly after arriving at the hospital.
"Darwin Turf Club in conjunction with the TRNT stewards agreed it was best to adandon the meeting in order to begin an investigation into this tragic event.
"There will be a full investigation, which has already been initiated by the stewards. The Darwin Turf Club along with the entire industry offer our deepest condolences and sympathies to the family of Ms Montgomerie."
Montgomerie, whose father Peter trained 2005 Melbourne Cup runner-up On A Jeune, was a mother. She finished fourth in the northern territory riders premiership last year.
Kerrin McEvoy, who has known Montgomerie since doing pony club together as youngsters, tweeted: "It's a cruel game at times. Rest in peace Simone. Thoughts go out to the big Montgomerie family. Our pony club days I'll remember forever."

Single mum who leaves behind a four year old girl :( RIP

Ground it out, won't be backing him - no change of pace. This next one is trappy - over a mile it's Tornado all the way but his dam only won over 7.6f.

Something amiss woth Toranado, ground prob too firm in hindsight for Al Kazeem. Has been a very poor flat season really, no superstar they're all much of a muchness. The proper racing will be around soon enough though thankfully.

Trappy handicap - Smarty Socks last 6 at York 214122. Should be in the frame.

Lucky for you - jumped last and stayed last! Classic form in the next - Venus de Milo, probably keep LK money in my pocket tho', never like opposing William on a decent horse.

Probably would have won with me on board but a brilliant ride from Buick, kept her covered up in 4th while the first two went too fast and cruised up to win.

Been avoiding the nags after taking a caning at Newmarket a few weeks back.

Had a decent bet on Lucky Kristal and a punt on Socks. Couple of hundred up on the season to small stakes. Was going to go tomorrow for Nunthorpe but can't make it.

Been following this guy on Twitter called Watkins Pro Tips (Click). Won me £35 on my first bet with them but since then I've lost £15... had an e/w double and both horses finished third (had both won I would've netted £590...), and today I had an e/w treble but one horse (at 8/15!) finished last somehow. It seems like a good source for decent little bets though.

Maybe worth a look for some of you guys more into horse racing than me?

He's probably doing it as an attractor for an eventual paid service so he'll need to pick a few winners, I'll have a look this afternoon

Yeah that's what happened with the last one I used. He's not been too great throughout York this week, but I had a big winner before with him so I'm still in profit (Just!)

Oisin Murphy won the Ayr Gold Cup at 18 and went on to complete a 9000/1 four-timer. I did worry when he dismounted but all seems good.

Too much being made of the draw. Sakhee and Dalakhani were both drawn very wide but were good enough and ridden well enough to nullify their positions in the gate. If Orfevre is given a good ride (and the best jockey around Longchamp is on him) it won't get him beat.

I'm on Orfevre at 12s and am confident. I still think he's the most likely winner. Camelot is favourite which is plain wrong. His position in the market means there is value to be had out there

I like Sea Moon at around 10/1. He loves cut in the ground and the fast pace he'll get here will suit him more than the crawl they went at Ascot in the King George.

The big thing about the Arc is that the 3yo's are slightly advantaged by the weight for age allowance and the French ones are usually put away for this when the older horses are out in the summer running against one another. That being the case Saonois is a decent price at 9s. He won the French Derby over 10f and was quite impressive in the Prix Niel.

Back again with Orfevre. Not on as big as last year but redemption would be so sweet. Last year's race was so hard to swallow.

Into hibernation til March, not a bad flat by my recent dismal standards - break even except for backing Dawn Approach when he won and leaving him out when he lost.

Megapunt on Our Jonathan in sprint at Doncaster backed from 20/1 to 13/2 fav and didn't make the frame.

Sorry for not giving much notice, you had 10 minutes to get on it!

Someone in my local told me the same pretty much. Had a few quid on it once I seen you post here too. Good tip and easy money!

Usually steer clear of the horses.
