I hope he does better than the last player I posted a photo of flying over my house on his way to sign...

I remember the excitement when Di Maria was flying in to Manchester.
And there were pictures of him being driven in a a huge car, in the dark.
That signing never worked out for us unfortunately, though he was a true Galactico, so I could understand the excitement.

Re: mkhitaryan
I'm not getting my hopes up. He certainly won't turn us into a league winning side, which you'd expect from a Galactico class player.
I'm expecting him to be on the same level as Morgan, (an old) Bastian, (an old) Carrick - nothing special, a decent squad player who will play a lot of games for us, but won't play much, when we finally have a first XI who can win the title or attempt to win the CL.
Toni Kroos or Paul Pogba are the sort of players who would definitely be in a title winning team and would be worth getting excited over.

Its not about galacticos, its about having a well functioning team. Who knows maybe Micki will shine and will be instrumental in a team aspiring to win a CL.

Jesus Christ this guy has won the players' player of the year and you chat about him like he is a nothing player. Christ.

If you zoom in, the plane goes faster!!

Look what I saw when I zoomed in!

I may be the only one... but I am much more excited by this signing than old man Zlatan!

Think we are going to look back on this deal in a year or two and wonder how we managed to pull it off so easily.

Damn I was hoping for a double announcement.

Oh well, the Zlatan news will keep me patient

Would you want to be unveiled on the same day as Zlatan? It would be the most underwhelming singing ever (from a press point of view).

How many Galacticos have been bought by United and turned out to be successful? United are not Real Madrid, and even Madrid who are known for buying Galaticos have the same problem. They buy these World Class players and it doesn't work out for them as there is too many big personalities in the changing room. Henri Mhki will be a brilliant signing and he isn't World class but he will still do a good job for the team.

Watching MUTV a journalist on the show said he will sign for us on the weekend and has jetted into Manchester. Get in.

Jesus, we've got from terrible at hiding transfers to being totally transparent in our dealings.

Must admit, I don't know a lot about him, but I saw his stats on SSN the other day for goals/assists and they looked quite impressive, I just hope he turns out better - assuming United do actually sign him - than the last attacking midfielder United signed from Borussia Dortmund, like most others probably I was genuinely excited by Kagawa's arrival, but he looked totally lost for most of his time at OT, but I don't think he really wanted to leave Dortmund in the first place.

Thats the concern buying players from Dortmund. They tend to get the absolute best from their players. Of course, Jose knows what he's doing so hopefully this is a good one.

I'm the same. Expecting Mkhitaryan to match Zlatan's goals/assists numbers to be honest, I think he and Martial will be a huge threat running off Ibra.

Fairly certain we can still sign players on weekends
Yes we can the NYSE exchange thing is overblown. Buying players is a normal business operation we do not need to make special announcements to the stock exchange every time. As long as the fees fall inline with the previous guidance we have given regarding spending it is not an issue.

The deal is done and they're just waiting for the Zlatan hype to die down a little before they announce him.

What a summer this is turning out to be. The worlds best manager and two of the best players in the world in their respective positions. Does it get much better than this?

What's happening here with this signing???

Should have been wrapped up by now...
Getting impatient about the best player I've never heard of joining us....

So i don't have to read through this thread, what's actually happening with this?

I got told yesterday he'd flown in or something? But then a Mufc photographer said it wasn't true?!

Anyway, thanks to anyone who can fill me in

I think there is supposed to be a board meeting at Dortmund over the weekend to approve the sale.

Those dortmund guys are a bunch of tossers! :D
Tossers..that reminds me of phrases like 'it's a process' 'it's not so easy'.

Anyway it should just be a formality before it can be announced.

Sign Zlatan on Friday, sack giggs on Saturday, sign Mkhitaryan on sunday, spend Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday talking about the possibility of Pogba. Not quite a Craig David song.
