He can't settle into England from what I've heard and I can sympathise with that.

I can sympathise with that too. So, selling him and moving on is the best thing to do, no need to use him at all, just like Mourinho is doing now.

I don't have a problem with that. Just curious as to how he acted as a 19 year old is all.

Enjoying the first half? Messi became Jesse again. That is the problem with Mou. He should have all of his players being ready, not cutting out and now he has no option if a player is not performing.
Clearly you see what you want to see. I and many will ice on their spine if Mkhi is playing this game. Doubt he provides with the ball and don't expect he can stay in game off the ball. There is option, so no need to worry; most important thing is nothing to worry when the player who is in bad form is not supposed to option. I meant throwing an off form player in for the sake of option is the worst one can do. Have your worry somewhere else, please.

Why are we bumping this thread?

He’s been diabolical this season and would have done nothing this game.

No problem mate, my bad for not wording it correctly. He does look lost most of the time, I actually always thought he will never settle well here.

Our problems today are stemming from our midfield. Doesn't help that we don't our best player.

I agree on options. .

And that's why I think he will look to sign another player to replace Micky.

It's not that he doesn't see the need for more options. But suspensions and the woeful form of others limits that.

Yes because England is so much different to Germany

He had periods like this in Dortmund too, his second season there was terrible too apparently.

My opinion is different because I spoke to a friend who has contacts with him (feel free to not believe me though because I hate it when people say "my mate said" myself!). Anyway he apparently doesn't have many close people in his family since his father passed and his sister was the only one that could make him feel at home. She moved to dortmund and it lifted him. This summer she moved to Manchester too and it's made him feel less homesick but yeah it clearly isn't enough.

But it's not just down to that. Some managers bring better out of certain players than others. Mourinho makes Rojo or Herrera etc look way better than they were under Lvg. Klopp knows how to get the absolute best of Salah. I believe Tuschel was that manager for Mkhi and he's obviously a completely different manager to Mourinho in the way he wants his attackers to play.

No more Micki talk, his talents are completely wasted at Man Utd (not England), he would fit in so well with other attacking English teams such as Man City, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

Mourinho is not the type of coach or system that fits him, as has been proven before with other signings Mourinho's couldnt get anything out of and got rid of, Kagawa, De Bruyne, and so on. Im just very curious why he keeps signing creative, fast moving players when he knows they would struggle in his system. I hope he gets traded in January.

Kagawa? What are you jabbering on about?

Suppose Deco, Ozil and Sneijder were shackled by Mourinho.

Surely today proves he should be sold and replaced in January?

Coming into this season we placed a lot of expectation on him, Pogba and Martial raising their games from last season for us to be competitive this season. Pogba and Martial have responded superbly while this fraud has been even worse.

In a game like today with Pogba out, a player with his profile is what was needed for us and Jose still didn't trust him. Get rid because we desperately need an AM who is capable of coordinating our attacks.

This guy could actually play well against premier league opposition. Just take a look at this.

Where has this Mkhi gone and what has Mourinho done with him.

Ignore the shitty transformer music but he's displaying everything Mourinho looks for in a winger, work rate and ability to transition from defense to attack with ease.

If we sell him I guarentee we will be pissed when we see him looking for the next team he plays.

Convenient to cherry pick performance to make the point isn't it. How about the return leg vs L'pool in same season? He and Dortmund started well. Then L'pool turned the heat and Dortmund fell apart and he was no where to be seen. Sound familiar?

And Tottenham last season got elicited by a Belgium mid table team. They ain't exactly always consistent good in Europe.

Can't blame him for that. The whole team fell apart. Pretty sure he scored a goal aswell.

That's the point. He ain't the one to hold thing together when it gets tough. No one questioning his end product when thing goes his way. Playing for us is heavily pressured so naturally you expect him to be able to cope it with it to some extend.

So no Mkhitaryan in the matchday squad again. Hardly a surprise, but with fixtures coming thick and fast, and with this one - on paper at least - being one of the easier game, is this curtains for him here? Or are we going to see a midseason revival like last season from him?

I think it might be curtains for him here, particularly if we can get Ozil in January.

When Schneiderlin chose to leave in Jan, he had made 3 starts and 4 sub appearances for United in all competitions last season. Memphis 1 start and 7 sub appearances. Mkhitaryan currently has 13 starts this season. Last season he made 30 starts in all competitions.

One other thing that may influence events is that Bild claimed his United salary plus signing-on bonus spread over length of contract, came to £200K a week (they quoted a euro figure).

While it does appear that Mourinho has lost patience with Mkhitaryan, the player may not wish to leave at this point, and even if he does, it may be problematic to find a club willing to cover his current wages.

I imagine Mino Raiola is currently exploring options for Mkhitaryan.

Thanks. That’s interesting. There is more to these situations than we may be aware of - not unsurprisingly

I'm starting to think he's already played his last game for us. I hope I'm wrong.

He'll be back. I'm sure Mourinho is managing his mentality and fitness.

I'm big fan of him when he's in full flow. Brilliantly talented footballer. Unfortunately he's wildly inconsistent. Horrible at times when the goings tough. Sad but I think he's gone.

Good. Too often we give players who aren't good enough far too long at United.

And that was after emergency meeting with Jose. Good luck to him, he has good 4-5 years in him.

Mkhitaryan is done here at Man Utd. They trying to figure out a way for a swap to Inter Milan for Joao Mario. If all terms agreed.

Ozil has become a very slim chance, as Arsenal are going to offer him a record price.

Griezman snubbed Man Utd and wants to go to Barca.

#10 position here at Man Utd is becoming a long term problem, with only Mata, Lingard, and Ibra as possibilities.

You are very ITK

Please tell us more.

What about the shirt sales in Armenia though?

On a serious note, i guess this could be the end for him. He is mentally fragile, he wont bounce back. Has to give it all in training and maybe he will get a chance in the cup games or busy period. But doesnt look too good

I just follow all news regarding Mkhitaryan.... if i had more educated guesses, i would let you know ;)

Ozil and Griezman, im pretty confident that is what is happening.

Surely he is gone? Shades of Veron this.

Not at all similar. For a start Veron was a World Class player, not a player coming off of one excellent season. Veron was very good for us, but didn’t really fit our set up at the time, Miki hasn’t shown anywhere near enough in his time here. Veron whilst never getting anywhere near fulfilling his potential, will at least be remembered as a quality player. Miki will be remembered as a complete failure.

Miki will be remembered for helping to win EL. That is not a complete failure.
