Pleased we won't be seeing him again. It shows Jose won't tolerate losers like this fella. A bit of ruthlessness is what's needed to get this team back to the top.

The new, slightly improved Memphis? Great for the first few months of every season (bar the EL goals) and then went into hiding as their opponents snuffed them out.

Not at all similar. For a start Veron was a World Class player, not a player coming off of one excellent season. Veron was very good for us, but didn’t really fit our set up at the time, Miki hasn’t shown anywhere near enough in his time here. Veron whilst never getting anywhere near fulfilling his potential, will at least be remembered as a quality player. Miki will be remembered as a complete failure.

I am in no way defending him regarding this seasons performance, but who do you think got us to champion league along with Pogba last year, Mkhitaryan was one of the leading candidates for best player in Europa League, not a complete failure i think. Fans just tend to have a short term memory regarding players.

Miki will be remembered for helping to win EL. That is not a complete failure.

He won’t be remembered for that at all. He contributed for sure, but it’s not as if he gave a Keane vs Juve performance. I’m glad we won the EL, but it was very forgettable. For a £30m player who was meant to be the best player Germany and a dynamic, goal scoring no 10, he’s been awful.

He scored 6 goals, including second goal in the final. That is the problem, he is not 10.

Do you think anyone will remember the mighty Europa league win of 2017? I don’t. It’s hardly a barometer to be remembered for is it. If that’s his only contribution, then that’s a failure for a player of his supposed talent. Barely contributing in a season and a half of the PL and the CL this season.

No point talking sense with these blokes, they have short memory and will only remember last few games of his.

Rubbish. He’s been awful for the vast majority of his time here, but scored goals in a competition that featured Europe’s 2nd tier teams. Brave - let’s celebrate.

I expect I remember a hell of a lot more than you. Your profile says your highest rated player of the season is Miki, and your lowest is Lingard! That says it all.

Ok fine. Have Lingard and Mata at 10 and wide. Let's see how it goes.

Very disappointing. I think he must be first Armenian who isn’t tough as nails.

A shame really. A likable guy by all accounts. Our club can seriously ruin a players reputation at times but then again we are a very big club with a fanbasr that is arguably unmatched. Some players may not simply be able to deal with the pressure and scrutiny.

Do you support the club or just one of those weirdos who joined to support a player?

As you been kissing his arse on here even when he’s been shite.

Piss off. Don't fecking talk to me like that, punk.

I think this guy is Armenian. Would explain why he's defending Mkhi so much.

I have a soft spot for Armenians and Mkhiki sounds like a genuine nice guy. Maybe too nice. The club comes first, though.

I think he will get one last chance. 7 times in the last 8 out of the matchday squad. If that doesn't motivate you then what does? Seems to worked with Shaw.
If he continues to be shit he will be shipped to West Ham.

I like him and seems a likable guy but he is no 20 year old who needs to be baby fed. When we needed him the most this season he was horrible and that in jose''s dictionary is a big sin. Hope he does well when and if he gets a chance.

[Mourinho] said: “I can only have six [outfield] players on the bench and I try to have some balance on the bench – I had two defenders and [Daley] Blind who can play in different areas. I had Ashley Young to cover me all of the wing and the wing-back position.

“I had [Ander] Herrera as a midfield player, Zlatan [Ibrahimovic] as a striker and Marcus [Rashford] as a second striker and winger. I played [Anthony] Martial, [Juan] Mata and [Jesse] Lingard in the team. To have Micki means that I don’t have one of them and, in this moment, I believe the other ones they deserve [the chance to play].”

Last night numbers explanation from Mourinho is bull… He always takes more attacking players, why did we needed Young and Blind on the squad? He's purposely punishing the player for not making an effort, no need to embellish it.

Had such high hopes for this guy but the reality is he wasted countless chances to establish himself. He became a liability with the ball and often didn't even looked arsed without it.

I reckon he was probably looking away before Mourinho even dropped him. It's tough to see how a clearly talented player could be so consistently poor at the most basic things. If he's sold in January I will not miss him but we do need to bring in a player he was supposed to be.

Maybe there was a clash behind the scenes between the two which resulted in him being frozen out.
