Harry Kane MBE | Performances

Shearer's first 5 seasons were before the premiership started so he has a fair sum of goals scored in the top division on top of his 260 in the prem.

He also had a few 42 game seasons.

We should have tried to have signed him last summer.

Transfer fee now will be ridiculous - probably would require £110million+.

Actually, you seem to have become more and more about having the best English cheque book ... if you want the best English players go out and find them and/or develop them yourselves.

Somewhat ironic when we have Rashford and Lingard, Jones, Smalling, Carrick, Rooney etc. We have a lot bigger of an English core that we have helped develop from Academy or early in their careers , more so then other teams.

I highly doubt Kane remains at Tottenham too long, but I doubt Levy sells to a Premier League club.

But people only really talk about his PL record of 260, the others count no more than my goals in the garden on the PL leaderboard. Do you think he'll make it?

Rooney and Carrick are the past - I'm talking about the here-and-now moving into future. I don't regard Lingard, Jones and Smalling as being amongst the best English players, and Rashford still has a lot to prove before he falls into that category.

I think that's utter tripe dished up by Sky who don't seem to think football existed prior to 1992. Goals scored in the top flight in 91/92 were no easier than in 92/93.

The top flight record is 357. Chelsea's own Jimmy Greaves (played a few games for Spurs as well).

He would sell for 0? what. Listen if United waved 150 million at spurs, he would be at united this summer.

3 hours ago you said £100m would do it .... but I guess Prem inflation moves fast these days

Lol ... yes, and scored the bulk of his goals for Spurs in the 'few' (381) appearances for us.

Whatever happens United need to sign a proven striker next season. I for one would love to see a Kane or even an Aguero sign for us. SAF always went in for the best, proven PL players and loved a top form striker. He didn't always get them but we should be putting in the required bids if we want to beat our rivals and challenge for titles.

But "he's one of our own"!

Lucky this was pre-Abramovich, else he'd have been loaned out to some Belgian club and never seen again ...

... as I was he got lucky and arrived at Spurs ;)

I like to see him go to Real Madrid. Not soley because Spurs are irritating with him in the side, but also because it would be fascinating to see how he performs in a different league and whether he could put those numbers up in Spain. If he is around top quality players like in Real's team, I reckon he could put up serious numbers.

I can't imagine Spurs selling to anyone in the Premier League. Perhaps to Real Madrid for a record breaking transfer fee, and I just don't see Real committing to that. He'll stay there and continue to do annoyingly well for them.

European Golden Shoe

Messi - 35 (33 appearances)*
Dost - 31 (30)*

Aubameyang - 31 (32)
Lewandowski - 30 (33)
Kane - 29 (30)
Dzeko - 28 (36)*
Suárez - 28 (34)*
Mertens - 27 (34)*

* one game left to play

I firmly believe he can beat Shearer's Premier League goal scoring record if he can avoid a serious injury.

Jesus wept. You think they actually would turn down a 150 million bid lol
Spurs would sell for stupid money, but I doubt Kane would come to us.

Yup I do, Levy has only sold top player that want to move how can you not see this?? Do you see an alternative reality? You offered more than real for Bale Levy rejected it.

Of course. We don't need the money and, as I've said, Kane is the iconic key to Levy's plans not just on the pitch but also commercially-speaking concerning the new stadium and a variety of new sponsorship deals.

Aside from anything else, Pochettino would likely resign if Kane were sold - and Levy won't have that.

Plus, you shelled out close to £100m for Pogba last summer. Kane is worth far, far, far more to Spurs than Pogba is to United. Ultra-prolific goal-scorers are almost priceless. Merely pretty good CMs are not.

Whats his CL record like again?

We spent 89 million? 150 is almost twice that price. Spurs would sell.

You could just make your point but you have to have a dig don't ya. Can't help yourself.

Then United should try it on and see ... if they want waste their summer in fruitless pursuit.

According to Wright and Lineker he is better then Benzema.

Lineker was even covering the CL semifinal when Benzema made a mockery of the Atletico Madrid defence in the Calderon.

Lol have u seen Benzema this season? It's comments like urs confirm that most fans don't watch football matches. He has been terrible considering he's at Madrird. harry has out scored him over the last 3 seasons, I simply don't get foreign hype of players, I'd say Vardy would even have scored more than Benzema in the last 2 seasons had he played in that Madrid team.

He's comfortably better than Benzema.
