Harry Kane MBE | Performances

Pretty sure Suarez might have. Aguero possibly too given he scored 5 in one game I think.

Yeah Suarez possibly but I don't think Aguero did. I subbed him into my FPL team after the 5 goals and he got injured!

£100 million and £300,000 a week would test the resolve of Levy and Kane I imagine.

Pochettino has the Midas touch. Kane need to emulate this form for England and lead them to glory.

Rooney has never produced for England when it really matters, neither have so many of our golden generation, so it doesn't actually mean Kane will either.

If Sir Alex was here, he would be our priority signing over Greizman or Rodriguez or other galacticos overseas.

That is true. I blame bad management for that. England has underperformed in cup competition time and time again. Even though Kane is perhaps one of the greatest striker England will have, I will not be surprised if nothing comes from it because of our poor managerial selections.

Not with Levy asking for £100m+.

Go back a few months when he played a bad game after his injury and read the reaction here....

He's one of the best strikers in the world.
No he's not. I won't even put him in the top 5 strikers in the world. He's probably one of the best strikers in the English Premier League but unless he delivers consistently on the world stage like the Champions League and World Cup/Euros, I can't put him in the "world-class" bracket.

griezman was quoted at £120m in some report. Price is of trivial concern for a big club if the manager wants a player and the player wants to leave.
Release clause is £86m. This is a Fergie who got scared of breaking the bank in his last few years. No doubt he'd have wanted him but I doubt we'd have made a serious effort if Fergie was still around.

Time change, no doubt that one of the greatest manager in football is capable of adapting to the ever changing modern game.

What a player!

Another golden boot, and only 23. Superb achievement.

If anyone's going Madrid, it's him not Alli, who are in need of a striker more than a midfielder.

If Manchester United want to return to the top, we simply need the best players. This signing would be like Rooney, Prem proven, young, has it all. 100 Million + Rooneys wages would be enough to turn his head. Manchester United is about having the best English players, we need to sign him. Don't tell me he wouldn't want to join United, he would.

Brilliant season, cracking player and comes across as a decent bloke. Hope he stays at spurs and I think he will, would take more than pogba money to sign him this window

If Ferguson were around he would be in for Kane in a flash; his attitude, application, work rate are exactly the qualities Ferguson admires.

I can't say l have seen Griezmann that much but is even in Kane's bracket, much less better than him? Really?!

Griezmann is one of the best players in the world.

He's a great example of how youth development should not be seen as linear. Football fans are very volatile when it comes to youth, moving their attention to the next 'big thing' if the previous one is having a tough start to senior football.

Kane had almost no hype, lots of loans and given a run out as a sub striker before getting the starting opportunity. He was no longer a teenager by that point.

His coaches must have rated him highly and Spurs fans were in for a [pleasant] surprise.

I'd definitely break the bank for him, but feck Spurs.. Is his injury record good?

Actually, you seem to have become more and more about having the best English cheque book ... if you want the best English players go out and find them and/or develop them yourselves.

Kane is now essentially the icon of Spurs - an academy product who has become a superstar. If you think £100m would persuade Levy to sell you're living in cloud cuckoo land. If there's one player that Levy wants to lead us out into the new stadium it's Kane ... and Kane will want to be that player. He is essential to Levy's whole strategy for marketing Spurs, gaining improved sponsorship deals and the sale of stadium naming rights.

Kane is to United is simply not going to happen.

I think Shearer will have an eye on his record for the first time in a while. His scoring rate at 23 is just ridiculous; 21, 25 and 29 in his last 3 seasons. He's only got another 182 goals to go to hit the 260 mark, another 25+ season next year and he is well on his way.

Edit: Did anyone else take the 100/1 Skybet were offering on him to do it at the start of the season? It was a max £16 bet but could be my best £16 investment in a while!

Shearer's first 5 seasons were before the premiership started so he has a fair sum of goals scored in the top division on top of his 260 in the prem.
