He has goals against Germany, Croatia (x2), Colombia and France (x2) for England. As well as 2 assists and a MOTM vs Spain in the Nations League. All aside from Germany were this year, I believe?

Going to have to agree to disagree. He absolutely did hold the ball up, won a number of fouls and was the best player on the pitch. Most media outlets gave him a 9/10 and man of the match. He was a proper leader that night.

He was then average vs Sweden, and poor vs Croatia.
He was immobile v Colombia though, to the point the pundits randomly started saying he must be Injured somehow.
He wasn't even holding he ball up as a striker, he was deeper than Henderson at times and England suffered because of it. All they had was long balls to Sterling who was deprived of support because Kane decided he was a playmaker.

Sorry am I missing something? Ingrained English bias in the honor system is now Harry Kane's fault? You have a good point though - Bale is as deserving, if not more so than Kane but he has the misfortune (fortune?) of not being English.

He was very good against Colombia, it's a strange match to pick to be honest as generally everybody was in agreement that he was excellent.

You think a striker scoring goals is worthy of an MBE? He's basically doing his job.

Yeah I really don't understand it. He was really poor vs Croatia and average vs Sweden, but I can't see how anyone looks at that Colombia performance thinks it was anything but very good. He was a proper captain, battled for everything, fed off scraps all game. Also stepped up twice for penalties and put them away brilliantly, people can act like this is easy in a world cup knockout game under huge pressure, but it is not.

Where did he say it was Kane’s fault?

Nah, I remember giving out on here for 90 minutes.
I've been consistent with that. You can hold the ball up as a number 9 but he was being praised for doing what Pogba is shit on for. Playing for frees in midfield and slowing everything down.
Colombia were the best team on the night because of it.

I really don't care about the MBE. It's totally meaningless, I just think it's not fair to depict him as a player who only does well against the minnows.

He's England's best player by far and captained us to a semi final for the first time since 1990. Is that worthy? I don't know.

It’s political. Kane was selected because he was captain along with the manager on a national event the pleased the majority of the population.

You really think the Whitehall bods that work out the recepiants really give a crap about his goal scoring record against elite sides?

I'm guessing he was just taking the mick because he clearly got the MBE award for his world cup performances.

There's no doubting Kane is a fantastic player.

I'm just baffled now.

Colombia did nothing but foul all night. England weren't great but they were certainly the better team. I'm trying to find a single news publication - foreign or domestic - which had Harry Kane as playing poorly, or Colombia as the better team in the game. They played football for about 5 minutes in total.

Fair enough but you were very much in the minority.

Its utterly farcical. England did ok, got to the semis, lost 3 matches. Kane scored 6, 3 pens, 1 deflection he didn't know about, 2 v Tunisia.

Bale lead Wales to a Euro SF beating Belgium in the quarters, 4 cl medals, two goals including overhead kick in latest one. Both British both eligible. This country is going to the dogs unfortunately. All flash with no substance. Can only guess Bale hasn't been honoured to avoid offending?

At least the ref told him to F off on Saturday. Wondering what he said to the referee to get that reaction?

Bale would be MORE deserving but I wouldn't even give Bale an MBE, fair enough if a player was instrumental in winning a world cup, then by all means, they deserve it.

But putting a few goals past a few shit teams and choking against decent teams shouldn't be seen as an achievement, that's called doing what you're paid to do.

These things are seriously devalued anyway, if I were Kane I'd be a little bit embarrassed, but considering he swore on his kids life that he scored a goal that he didn't actually score, I'm betting he's finishing his texts with...

...Harry Kane MBE xox

I like Kane, but MBE?(I just found ot what that means)

You folks really have low expectations.

Edit: Southgate's is even worse, no wonder people like to laugh at England.

MBE for finishing 4th, while the 66 guys had to wait for a generation to be honoured

The claimant of Lost Goals...The Goal Reaver....

Harry Kane is the only man to ever take credit of Christian Eriksen's goal. No one has ever claimed to do so other than Fabian Delph (in his dream, 2017). Lethal.
