Harry Kane | Bayern Munich player

Wrote this before. Kane is a ****. Levys bitch. I cannot fathom why he would just keep being bent over. He should be where Haaland is right now - 40/50 goals + the treble. How he can be ok with this is beyond me. Yes I applaud being loyal to your club. But your club also owes you some respect. I can only think that this is paper talk and haggling. He will leave Spurs I'm sure of it. This summer he has the opportunity to go to Real Maddrid, Bayern and United. Heck even PSG. Next year who knows. He should be throwing the biggest tantrums in the world.

We're playing Tottenham away on 19th August. If you thought signing Kane was unlikely before, it'll be impossible now.

Levy will never sell before this date, and United will have moved on if the saga gets dragged out past it.

His mistake was signing that stupid contract. I don't see any reason why he should kick his toys out this summer. If Levy is not willing to negotiate with a rival, that's fine. Kane will sign a pre-contract with someone else in six months.

Levy won’t sell to us and Kane won’t kick up enough of a fuss to force it. Spurs will have a purple patch in Sept/Oct and he’ll have signed a new deal by Christmas, then they’ll go back to being mediocre for the rest of the season.

Sorry to disappoint you but there is no way we are pulling out on the Mount deal

Why? We seem to have a limited budget and other more important positions to adress. At the rate it´s going now, we will bring in Mount, do 57 social media posts about him and then in August get out the tunnel with DDG as a starting keeper and Martial on the bench. Do people actually realize how important it is to not have a step back again next season.

Key difference is both Haaland and Mbappe have already proven it on the biggest stages.
They both ghosted a champions league final. Haaland also ghosted an FA cup final too.

One happened to play for Spurs against peak Liverpool and the other the most stacked squad arguably in history against an average Inter side.

I do agree with this. He will not risk kane coming back to their ground and scoring against them that soon. If anything that fixture brings into sharp focus why levy won't want to sell to another English team.

Meanwhile Kane ghosted UCL group with Marseille, Sporting and Eintracht Frankfurt. Then ghosted knockout phase against Milan.
I'd say he has a lot to prove everywhere outside of EPL.

 45 goals in 76 European matches. 55 goals in 82 International matches. This is getting ridiculous now. Just look at his record before you type utter drivel.

He's most welcome to waste his prime years in that cheese room. What an unambitious player.

I reckon he signs a new deal at Spurs eventually.

One of the most ridiculous things I’ve read on here in a long time.

You guys just don't understand that standards for being top striker have changed since the 90s. Stop spending so much time inside your EPL information bubble and look around.

EDIT: Actually you don't have to look around - just look at Haaland and realize that you have completely different standards for him than you have for Kane.

I have no idea what any of this means, so I guess you're right

I don't get Levy. Make £100 million and rebuild than lose for free

Think he's gambling on Kane signing a new contract.

But he must know that isn’t going to happen. It feels more like burying his head in the sand and just putting off (a by then much worse) problem until next summer.

If he wants to come here and stay in England - he needs to kick up a fuss. Simple as that.
It's what City request players to do to make the move happen, we should do the same. Especially when Levy is involved.

Footballing wise Levy is pretty useless but I can understand him not wanting to sell Kane. £100m simply doesn’t replace what he gives us. Look at the same incident with Bale, we basically spunked most of it up the wall, bar Eriksen. I don’t know personally what Kane is thinking, but I’m pretty sure he will stay and assess his options next summer when it makes A move on a free the most beneficial for him. The same clubs will be in for him even though he’s getting on.

I wouldn't negotiate with Levy at all.

Just ask Kane to wait one year.

I mean he was stupid enough to sign a new contract last time round, so who knows with Kane. He might also just accept being Shearer MK II, breaking the record and not winning anything (though Shearer did win the PL with Blackburn, but that aside he also won feck all).

I keep hearing Spurs fans say this about how it’s better to hold on to him as you won’t be able to sign someone as good to replace him but is it really? I mean he’s going to leave next summer for free that’s a definite, yes he may help you secure CL football next season but he also might not. Surely it’s better to take the £100m and back the new manager in a rebuild than to see him walk out the door for free next season and have to rebuild anyway minus the £100m you could’ve had?

Kane is a world cup golden boot winner and has 45 goals in 76 games in European competition for his club.

While it's true, I don't think Kane himself would use it as an argument. He scored 6 goals against Panama, Tunisia and Colombia. Three of them were penalties.

I run a retail business mate, I understand market value. The point I was making is that if Levy said to Kane that he could leave next year provided he gets an excellent fee, but then prices him at something way above excellent, in the knowledge that no-one will meet the valuation, then that is disingenuous. As I said though, more fool Kane for agreeing to it.

Kane doesn’t have much of a choice. His only option is not signing another deal and leaving to go where he wants in a year. Hopefully he sticks to that and Levy will get what he deserves.

Kane was never going to rock the boat too much after being with Spurs for so long. It’s not like Ronaldo with us (first time round).

I will be totally honest, if Kane wants to leave I have absolutely no problem and I will wish him the best. But his value to us, I THINK, cannot be replaced by £100m. I genuinely don’t think some people on here actually watch him. Is he flash? No, but he is a total footballer and I honestly think he will play well into his 30s, can easily drop back into midfield. Levy clearly has an ear on Kane, if Kane was saying *Danny I’m off at the end of the season* I can see him being sold, but I’d Levy suspects there is a chance of an extension he will hold onto him for dear life. Again I have absolutely no idea what’s Kane is thinking, but this idea of Levy losing £100m is a little naive, Kane cost us feck all, Kane has well deserved a free transfer if he wants it.

100% it’s better to cash in now. Levy is gambling on convincing Kane to stay, but that’s a hell of a gamble

Incredibly doubtful Spurs even makes it to top 4 next year. This is a costly gamble for Levy and one he will almost certainly lose. £100m is a lot of money for a club like Spurs to invest

I really want Kane but happy if we bring in two strikers for less than half the proposed fee for him; Thuram and Hojlund for example.

So long as we get our business done early and get the players embedded into the squad and under ETH for pre-season then I would take this as a positive.

We have money, the club invests money, this idea we don’t is again totally unwarranted, our income has skyrocketed over the last 20 years. Again Levy has no need to sell, Harry has done his time, and we have reaped so much from him. I’m no Levy fan anymore, but trust me he will have done the numbers on this one, it’s the only thing he really excels at.

This is why he is a terrible chairman and so easy to negotiate with. You know exactly what he wants to do (masquerade as a big club) and delay selling his players. Just don't bid for his players and let them run down their contracts. He will then try and get players to sign 6, 7 and 8 year deals but they won't as they know it will ruin their chances of joining a team that actually win things.

I have been of the opinion for a long time that "he is a tough negotiator" is utter rubbish and that he is a detriment to Spurs. Combined with watching him on that Amazon program at Spurs, my conclusion is that he is clueless and overawed.

If only he ran an accountancy firm.

On what planet is he "easy to negotiate with?"

Hilarious, he’s a business man, masquerading as a Spurs fan, but he is not clueless. Look what he has done for himself and ENIC, bought a club for feck all, invested about £40m of ENICS own money and now owns a club worth easily over a billion quid. If that’s clueless to you, from a business perspective, I’m glad I’m not in partnership with you.

Fair enough. I completely get the aspect of not being able to replace him with someone of equal quality but the fact is you need to move on from Kane at some point and that looks like next summer unless Levy can somehow convince him to spend the rest of his career at Spurs which is unlikely. I think it would be better for Spurs to be proactive and start planning on building a team post Kane than trying to pin all your hopes on trying to convince one player to spend a few more years at the club. That’s just my opinion looking from the outside but I’m not a Spurs fan so you’ll have a better idea.

It does feel he is setting himself up for a massive fall here. It’s such terrible business for Spurs to lose Kane for free next year when they could get £80-£90m now. Can you imagine if he rocks up for Chelsea or Arsenal on opening day 24/25?

As a result, I’m still inclined to feel this is all just posturing. Will be interesting to see if the messages soften over the next few weeks.
