Gaming Gran Turismo 7 (PS4/PS5) | Full game and online multiplayer confirmed in free PS VR2 update

It will stop the car losing traction on the puddle which is under the tree.

Something underrated in this game is the rain affects on shadowed sections of tracks. The legit take longer to dry

I’ll see how I get on as I’d like to avoid using it but will keep it in mind.

Agree re the weather, as much as that licence is driving me mad the way they’ve done it is hugely impressive.

Just got to international a-10 and it feels like it will be a miracle if I get it.

Also had connection issues with the server (wouldn't let us out to qualify) for the tournament tonight and as a result missed out on the race entirely which was a bit gutting.

Is that the SLS AMG around the Nurburgring? I found that the entry to Wippermann and the exit of Brunnchen were the biggest time gains around there. The demo is helpful.

It’s a pain. It’s really about getting to the end more than anything that’s the challenge. I think I only completed 3 runs in total and golded on the third but took several hours.

I had done the first two parts of the track so many times I was actually ahead of the demo ghost until the final sector, which is so difficult to control the car I basically coasted those two left handers. Fortunately nailing the first two sectors meant I had that buffer because it’s so difficult to be fast and not spin in that final sector.

I also did it with counter steer off - but not sure that’s the best way but just because I spent time learning to control the car in that mode so was too difficult to switch out after.

Ahead of the demo ghost? Nice.

I’ll get there eventually!

Yeah - the demo ghost is actually really beatable in sector two - particularly that slow hairpin and the subsequent left hander, then the braking point for the left handers after that if you can control drifting slightly through those two corners. That’s where I built my buffer.

I found the main thing was staying on the dry part of the track. Even if not the best line. Go in any wet sections and it just kills your speed and traction.

Yeah it is. Thanks will take a look.

On the plus side tonight I hit 3 million and bought that sauber Mercedes, gorgeous car.

The sound is amazing.

The rotary sound from the 787b is a cracker as well.

it’s just so annoying some of the pit falls of this game (especially MXT) are dragging down what is a cracking game.

Has 787b already been in the legend shop? How much was it? One of my all time favourites so want it next time around.

Already struggling Golding the licenses and only on the 3rd set whatever it's called  looks a proper simple one too. Never had this much difficulty doing the licenses on the old GTs. Maybe I'm just old and shit now.

No chance I'll be Golding the super license with this kind of performance.

Some of the early ones are incredibly difficult and need hours of practice and one lucky lap. Watch demos, follow ghosts on 0.2 delay. I turn them off and on depending how long it's taking and i need a ghost to refresh my techniques on a few corners.

I had a break, came back and blasted loads off fairly easily  onto the 10th now, skyline round trail mountain corners I think it is. They really do give you some absolute lumps to throw around tracks they're not suited to.

I've found my favourite car so far I think, Alfa Romeo 8C Competzione '08. Just seems the best overall car so far. Might have just been suited to the tracks I used it on but felt brilliant to drive.

Completed the menu items and all the missions, including most of the cups. Seems like a game that is fairly light on content relative to a non-sim like Forza Horizon.

The gameplay is nothing short of perfect.

But if they gave us a full game then what would they sell us as DLC.

Guarantee there will be bigger cups, more races, more missions etc with a DLC.

I only did National B and A licences to complete the menus and then left the rest until I'd completed all the missions, menu missions and all of the races. Made the licences (Apart from the last one) quite easy as I'd got used to how the game works and feels on each track.

I'm having difficulty after nailing a couple corners I go brain dead and mess the third up  probably not used to taking such speed into the later corners after I've figured out the first ones.

I keep jumping around, few races, missions, menus, licenses. It's a great game tbh, shame about the mtx and how it's not got a great deal of single player content ATM. I can live with it though, don't regret buying it.

If its anything like Sport, DLC wont be a paid item. It'll be free to users, but largely the cost of purchasing the cars in game wont be cheap.

Again, boils down to their MXT model being shit and really needing to match what they did with GT Sport.

Finished all the cafe missions and treated myself to the Bugatti VGT in army green.

Still got most of the missions and licences to do but I think I'll get back on Elden Ring first.

4 attempts at the IA Rally since the update for gold unreal how much time I wasted pre update!

They've just released a statement on what happened last week. We could all be getting 1 million Cr. too, fingers crossed. It also mentions increased rewards moving forward. Not sure if it will be enough to appease the vast majority however, with micro transactions still the future of this game inevitably.

Dear Gran Turismo Community,

Thank you for your continued support and feedback on Gran Turismo 7, your voices have not gone unheard. I would like to apologize for the frustration and confusion caused last week with our patch updates which resulted in, not only a server outage but also adjustments to the in-game economy which were made without a clear explanation to our community.

We know that this is not the Gran Turismo experience you expect and we will be making a goodwill gesture in the form of a non-paid credit pack of 1 million Cr. available to those players who may have been affected*. You will see this hit your accounts shortly. Make sure you log into the game before April 25 to claim the credits.

The patch update previously deployed was intended to rectify an issue with inconsistent reward payouts within a part of the World Circuit Events. But, to re-establish the intended equilibrium and provide more accurate rewards based on time investment and completion, it was necessary to recalculate the rewards system as a whole.

To improve the player experience, we will be rolling out a considerable patch in the beginning of April. The number of events will be increased, and we will reestablish the reward system with greater balance throughout the game to benefit all players.

Updates which will come into effect beginning of April:

  • Increase rewards in the events in the latter half of the World Circuits by approximately 100% on average.
  • Addition of high rewards for clearing the Circuit Experience in all Gold/All Bronze results.
  • Increase of rewards in Online Races.
  • Include a total of eight new one-hour Endurance Race events to Missions. These will also have higher reward settings.
  • Increase the upper limit of non-paid credits in player wallets from 20M Cr. to 100M Cr.
  • Increase the quantity of Used and Legend cars on offer at any given time.
Beyond this there will be a few additional patches deployed between now and the end of April which will add new cars and tracks and make some other fixes.

Finally, we also want to take the opportunity to lay out some of the near-term updates we are working on. We can’t confirm an exact date or specifics yet, but will give advance notice via www.gran-turismo.com.

  • Increase the payout value of limited time rewards as we develop as a live service.
  • Further World Circuit event additions.
  • Addition of Endurance Races to Missions including 24-hour races.
  • Addition of Online Time Trials and awarding of rewards according to the player’s difference with the top ranked time.
  • Make it so cars can be sold.
We want to thank you for your continued patience and valuable feedback as we grow and evolve GT7 to make it as enjoyable and rewarding for as many players as possible. We always want to keep communication lines open with our community so that we can work together to build the best racing experience possible.

*Limit 1 per person. Must own a digital or physical copy of GT7 for PS4 or PS5 prior to the publication of this post (Friday, 25 March at 1:00am PST) and log into Gran Turismo 7 between Friday, March 25 at 5:00pm JST/8:00am GMT/ 1:00am PDT and Monday, April 25 at 5:00pm JST/8:00am GMT/ 1:00am PDT to receive the free credit pack.

I brought the tomahawk. Brought the wrong fecking one and I hate it. Should have purchased an lmp1 instead of that lump of shit…

so annoyed

I also bought it (the road car one thankfully) and it does make light work of the circuits you can grind but it’s also fecking boring. I’ll have to do it at some point but:lol:

This sounds great. They still need to do a bit more to win me over to the mistakes they made but this is a good start. :)

Yeah just making it so you can sell cars is a no brainer and should've been there from the start.

I bought both the S VGT and the X VGT. Love em. The X is the one that you can grab both the speed achievements. I think it tops out at just under 400mph.

A decent statement, all things considered. It's a little disappointing that they only give a very vague "near-term" description for allowing cars to be sold, I would've liked a more concrete statement. But at least they're looking at it. Once that gets added, I might give this a chance after all. They still have a chance to redeem themselves here, but it really shouldn't have come to this in the first place.

I've only golded a few circuit experiences so far but do you win any cars for completing them all? I know they say they're updating rewards for them as the rewards currently are shite.

No idea, you get a trophy for 15.

Just seen that statement, at least they’re listening, let’s see what the actual impact is on the rewards it it sounds promising.

Yeah it’s a step in the right direction definitely. Quite glad because I absolutely love the gameplay, best driving game I’ve ever played.

Yea agreed, the gameplay is fantastic.

The rewards for circuit experience makes me think I’ll probably hold off on them for now, I was planning to make those my next focus now I’ve finished the licences but don’t wanna do it before the rewards change.

Came home for lunch so installed the update.

Garage > Gifts > 1m Cr token sitting there.
