The karting race on sport is surprisingly not total shit.
I think C drive rating and A safety.
the only reason I’ve ever hit anybody is because they cut across me on the apex of the corner.
That last corner. I thought about progressively braking… doesn’t work. The karting race on sport is surprisingly not total shit.

just throw it in and hope it sticks.
Yeh basically.
It's chaos going into it 5 or 6 karts abreast.
Finally completed the menu book!
Question is… what next?
Depends if you want to platinum it.
If you do, better start saving up
absolutely not. Not with all the MxT nonsense.
I would like to gold everything in the game - licenses, menu book, races, missions, and circuit experiences. But not bothered by the PS5 trophies tbh.
And then once that’s done will hop into online.
I’m thinking I might go for circuit experiences next. Would make doing the remaining races and missions easier I suspect.
I see! I wonder if maybe races —> circuit experiences —> missions may be better then. Will just see how I feel when I next log in!That’s my plan. Only downside is Circuit Experience tends to be in fast grippy cars so going from that back to some of the plodders you’ll need to use for Sunday Cup type races will be a bit of a pain!

The circuit experiences are a bit like the licences. Some which you can gold quite easily a second under the full lap time and others which are really hard to gold. I have a feeling there are a few that will annoy me for a while.
Mixing it up might be an idea?
Yea for sure. I can’t remember the circuit but there’s one of the European tracks where it puts you in an Alfa 4C race car, I eventually managed to gold the individual sectors but can’t do the full lap to save my life, not even close to it!
Still not a racing simulator then. It's always suffered from being a dull racer. All the races feel more like passing missions due to it, along with it being very rare to see AI overtaking each other.

Porsche Cup using the Cayman GT4
Attempt 1: pisses down half way through. Spin.
Attempt 2: pisses down half way through. Spin.
Attempt 3: pisses down half way through. Spin.
Put intermediates on
Attempt 4: No rain, tyres not grippy enough to keep up with faster cars.

Either stop refuelling and change the fuel economy or put up with itHave a novice question: how does one speed up re-fueling times? I often lose multiple positions while re-fuelling and changing tyres and have to play catch-up again.
To keep it cheap I would do weight reduction stage one, sports suspension and brakes and a bunch of the cheaper sports upgrade for a bit more power. The biggest noticeable improvement you can make is tyres. If that didn’t work I usually go for a turbo with some racing brakes. I’m not a car guy btw so this might not be optimal. You got unlucky winning the 89 model, my 03 model might be my favourite car to drive so far.So, whats the cheapest way to improve a cars ability to speed off in circuit experience, without spending 200k on the car? For example im about to start the M3 menu book challenge, where i need an M3 to race 3 races. Im using an M3 Sport Evolution '89, which i was given, but it turns and drives like a double decker. Is there one or two components i can buy to breeze these races?
So far i have been buying the transmission upgrades, brake kits, manifolds, weight reductions, the controllers, intercoolers and crank shafts.... Literally anything. I have no idea about cars![]()

Absolutely loving the livery editor on this and being able to use other peoples created livery’s on my car has really jazzed up my garage. Some are unbelievable, I made one myself for my lancer and uploaded it to the showcase and someone added it to their collection which I thought was pretty cool.
Final point, this game needs in car radio stations or at least the ability to change song.
i usually play with Spotify on at the same time.![]()
Does that just sorta take over the in-game music? But leave everything else alone? So engine sounds and the like are still right?
Some cars, like the m3 89, are restricted as they don’t offer turbo upgrades so the engine upgrades are quite costly. So, whats the cheapest way to improve a cars ability to speed off in circuit experience, without spending 200k on the car? How the feck do I get the tomahawk to go faster. I’ve looked up YT vids and it still won’t go above 365 ish mph. Meanwhile people are going about 400mph in any race. I’m in console if that make a difference.
Ah! That did it. Got to 407mph. Thanks! Thank feck I bought the right oneWhen you're at top speed click down on the right stick (I'm on PS5) to put the flaps in and increase the speed further. I've had it at 400 mph on that aircraft hanger track to get the speed achievements.
Also make sure you're in the X-VGT. The S-VGT is used on more races but isn't as fast. You're in the wrong one aren't you?![]()
Can’t get Gold on s-7. Down to 1:07:900 so still need to find half a second but just have no consistency with the F1 car. I find time in 1 sector but will be slower in another. I will do a backflip when I finally get it!!! Still 3 left after that![]()
The demo lap was really helpful on that one.
The biggest time saver will be the 90° left before the uphill towards the corkscrew. You really just need to lift (not brake) just before entry and then commit to the corner at full throttle.
Then if you nail the braking point for the corkscrew (just before the crest of the hill iirc) that section itself is pretty easy, then you’re flat out through the next left, a quick stab of the brakes before the righthander and then you really have to absolutely nail the braking point for the final corner otherwise you’ll either run wide or spin up.
Oh and TSC off, otherwise you’ll bog down coming out of that final corner and lose masses of time. You don’t need TSC in that car on that track, just trust the downforce and grip.
But yea, the demo lap and then ghost is your friend.
FINALLYYYYY!!
The extra speed I gained from just lifting off instead of braking going into the uphill was a game changer!!! Thank you!!!!!!
Did try 0 tcs but I just couldn’t control the car, my throttle control isn’t very good, so was spinning off a lot, but had it at one which I was able to manage.
1:07:236 in the end.
Congrats. For me also i was driving on 2 TCS across the course, but quickly flicked it up to 5 on the approach to the cork screw so I wouldn't spin out trying to speed off back down the hill before the turn was finished. Then went back to 2 TCS. ANYWAYS its done now, on to the next!FINALLYYYYY!!
