It means Juve would have the best player from the club that finished second in Serie A and from the club that finished third.

I forgot this. Do you think after higuain you guys will be complete for transfers? The fans over in juventuz seem to want James..

I think we will get a midfielder if we sell Pogba. No not James definitely.

This is the new reality. Every top club in Europe has money with TV deals increasing everywhere.
I don't even expect Pogba to be he record transfer for long. If Harzard has a good season, I expect Madrid to break the bank for him next summer.
What it means is that clubs will start investing more in the scouting department.
Chelsea: "We want €100m for Hazard"
Real Madrid: "We pay €130m for him"
Chelsea: "Ehm hello....we said €100m and not €130m"
Real Madrid: "Yes yes but we want to have back the record of the most expensive footballer"

Bundesliga: :boring:
Ligue 1: :boring:
and now Serie A: :boring:

Do they even need him. They will win the league anyway and I dont think he will give them the edge in Europe.
Yes they need him. Juve have been looking for a quality striker for years. They also lost Morata. Dybala is an awesome player but he's not the guy to ask to get goals. They 100% needed him.

Sounds like Florentino.

Ridiculous fee that for Higuain, if he goes for that much just can't even begin to imagine how much a Lewandoski would cost now

Suppose it's already been asked , but I can't see it anywhere but why has higuian had his medical in MADRID ??? Anyone know???

Ridiculously overpriced but better to pay over the odds on a very good player (who plays for your main rival) than spunk all the Pogba money on shite like Spurs and Pool did, especially when the rest of their squad doesn't really need much work.

They clearly have money to spend after they have all but sold Pogba. This is what Spurs did, it's so obvious. This is a great indication of the Pogba transfer. Napoli were clearly asking for a lot, but he is such a provn goalscorer in Italy, they must have thought feck it and paid the money. Why? Because they have £100m landing in the next few days.

Are Real getting any money from this?

I think he is a very good player and thought we should have been in for him when he left Real. I remember people say how overrated and crap he was, that said, 100m is ridiculous at this stage in his career. The money we are paying for Pogba has clearly diluted the market, or is going to. Juv probably would have picked him up closer to 60m, release clause or not, were it not for the Pogba deal

A ludicrous sum of money for a player who rarely shows up in key matches, not sure anyone can assess what normal fees are after this one

This can't be true, surely? I mean medical, transfer yes, but 100m EUR?! That's insane for someone at his age who isn't named Messi or Ronaldo.

he's not a striker for a top club, always a bit overrated. I don't think he's even that better than Negredo who was found out in EPL but yeah if higuain stays in Italy, he may keep scoring in their shit league

I think he will be quality for them, and fair play to Napoli for taking them to the cleaners

Wow, €94m for a player who's nearly 29? And people were saying we were overpaying on Pogba. Well, I suppose they had to replace Morata but they still have Dybala and I still think they're near certain to win the league with or without Higuain, especially since signing Pjanic. Don't really see the value of it tbh. I do agree with the better to buy a top player than loads of average players argument in most cases but Juventus' team seemed strong enough already, unlike Liverpool when Suarez left or Spurs when Bale left. Still, I'm sure he'll do well for them and will lessen the blow of losing Pogba.

At the moment, Serie A is heading towards Bundesliga with regards to the difference between the best and the rest.

So why are they even selling Pogba? They'll do what 20 million profit with Pogba out and Higuain in, and Pogba at his age, potential, and even current quality is surely a much better value. It's not like Pogba is in the last year of his contract and pushing for a move.

I'm also wondering that but just go with it lol

Then you are utterly stupid

Underating of Higuain on here is criminal

The guy has been a solid 30+ goalscorer a season for his entire career, last season even 38 goals in 42 games and people call him a bottler and worse than Rooney, the mind boggles

Ow and the season before that 29 goals and 11 assists

Season before that 24 goals and 12 assists

Those are worldclass stats, only the very best reach those numbers. He is on the level of Aguero or Auba, not Lacazette or Lukaku, jezus...

Why are Juve to desperate to sign him? He's not 100m good. They could probably get a better striker for significantly lesser money. What's going on in football?
We really can't. There is a limited amount of top attackers in the world who will be available. It's very hard to name any that would want a move.

While I think that Higuain is brilliant in scoring goals in league matches, on the other side he is the biggest big game bottler that I have ever seen. He puts the likes of Ibra (a big game bottler too) and Cavani (a very big game bottler) to shame when it comes to that.

So, I guess that I don't get this signing. He'll score 30 goals or so in the league, but then Juve is going to win the league in any case. And he won't make a positive difference in the latter stages of UCL.

I don't think that Juve are spending well the Pogba money.

What formation are Juve planning to play with him and Dyabala.. 3-5-2? I can't believe he is going for that amount.

Like who? Lacazette? Higuain is a top striker. Far from worth 100m of course, but who can they approach instead?

Indeed. The reason why we will pay so much for Pogba is partly because we are so rich but also because we really really need him on a number of levels after three years in the relative wilderness. The football transfer market is quite unique. What represents value for one club can seem completely insane to another.

Lukaku? Expensive but younger and he wouldn't cost as much as Higuain. Even if he would want to move on later, you would probably get a lot of money for him similar to Pogba.

Tell me which? Is there one of the proven top strikers in the market?#

Juve have a winning mentality though. My hope is he will have that same mentality and wont bottle it. I really dont think it's a good way to spend 90 million though.
