Foo fighters, proving simplistic rock is the easiest way to sell records and get a crowd going.
Putting on a hell of a show.

Anyone who truly loves music will happily argue about it. I'd rather someone loved glossy novelty pop than didn't like music at all. I mean...what the feck is that all about?Totally agree. I mean I think Edge of Glory by Lady Gaga and Wrecking Ball by Miley Cyrus are two of the best pop songs I've listened to. Most people would say I'm totally wrong. I love arguing about music.
My aunts first husband fecking loved the Quo.
He would listen to them almost completely exclusively, other than that he was a completely normal man from the 80s.
Had a Cortina and everything.
They're catchy and easy as feck to listen to but have you ever listened to their lyrics? Actually, don't listen to their lyrics, it's easier that way.Putting on a hell of a show.
Tune. I'm a sucker for a good pop song though. Beautiful by Xtina Aguilera (does she stil her name that way?) anyone?

As much as I love the idea of going to Glastonbury, that crowd is fecking massive. How the hell would you deal with going for a pish? Does everyone just not drink beer or piss themselves or whatever?

No one could deny Grohl being a showman to be fair, never made a great album, but the Foos do create some tunes with every outing and after 20 years/7+ albums, that creates quite the setlist.
I've been to lots of big European festivals but Glastonbury is a whole other level in size, believe me. Anyway look at that crowd, even if you're half way up how could you possibly find your way back?I go to a lot of festivals and you have to plan your day carefully. When there's no one you want to see on any stage or someone you're not overly bothered about that is when you go. If you're a guy then you're lucky as most festivals should hopefully have urinals (at Download this year I found a nearby fence to piss up) but if you're a lady then it can be more of a problem with queues.
The higher end of radio-friendly rock.

Beautiful is an awesome song, Unpretty by TLC too. Mmmbop by Hanson is about as good as mainstream pop gets too. I love pop music it shouldn't get as much stick as it does.
Talking of great US bands, where do you guys fall on Metallica?
You should get a lot more stick, forever, just for that appalling sentence right there. Oh and you deserve a fecking Mmmbop for only knowing one Foo Fighters tune.
For me right up there for all albums up to black albumTalking of great US bands, where do you guys fall on Metallica?
As a younger lad I only listened to them because I was learning the guitar, I found so much of it just a tad over-bearing, but they did some genuinely good stuff and it was relatively speaking new and original, that's always worth a salute I'd say. I'm glad they happened.

I can feel a relisten of their old stuff on the horizon.
Master of Puppets was awesome.
White Pony was the shit back in the day.

Yeah I've never understood that, I don't understand how someone can hate all music. I can find something in any genre but surely there's got to be a genre for everyone.
White Pony is still the definitive Deftones album but Diamond Eyes and Koi No Yokan from this decade were excellent too.
As for major US metal bands there is Slipknot. Corey Taylor also has another band called Stone Sour which is more soft rock - hard rock, they are really good and sell out arenas worldwide.

Remember being slightly freaked out on a date when the girl said she had no interest in music. That's like not casting a shadow, sign of a wrong'un.
Wow the caf posters have some great taste in music! I'd say those three albums are certainly Deftones best.
Corey Taylor has recently got into a bit of an argument with Chad Kroeger (Nickelback...) who called Slipknot a gimmick and Stone Sour "Nickelback lite". Unsurprisingly everyone is backing Corey over him.

Watching Billions made me go back and listen to some old Metallica stuff too
