Him at United would mean the same De Gea to Madrid saga a few years down the line. Also, Italian players hardly move out of Italy. He's juve bound for sure.

Arrigo Sacchi: "I used to respect Donnarumma as a lad & footballer, but I got stunned by the lack of gratitude towards Milan. I want to remind him of all those who put money before all else, like Kaka & Shevchenko, who left Milan for Real Madrid & Chelsea only to later bitterly regret it."

Milan have done exactly the same with players. This holier than thou attitude is frankly annoying.

I'm more baffled by the fact that Sacchi genuinely thinks that Kaka left Milan for the money.

As I haven't really watched him play but seem to remember about hearing of him being quite prone to errors,
is he a very good goalkeeper or is he just a very good 18-year-old goalkeeper? how does he compare to De Gea, Neuer, Ter Stegen, Leno, Bravo, Bürki, Navas and the like?
He is very good for an 18 year old, but nowhere close to the likes of De Gea and Neuer. If we get him while De Gea goes to RM we are looking at a massive downgrade. He made a lot of mistakes last season costing Milan points, although he did saved them in a fair few games too. Still, not a goalkeeper that should be our number one (I would put him around the level of maybe Karius), especially as De Gea's replacement.

He also rejected a 140-160k per week deal from Milan which would have made him the second highest paid goalkeeper in the world (just behind De Gea), so he will not be cheap either. He also comes with a baggage of being hated by the whole Italy (yes, even Juventus fans hate him, because Italians do not like seeing this kind of stunt) and there is no guarantee that he is mentally tough enough to endure all the hate.

People who wants him to join us for De Gea genuinely doesn't know what they are talking about.

Comparing him to Karius is a little harsh i think. He is already better then that. I'd compare him to Ter Stegen, probably a bit better on the line, and worse on the ball. But i agree with the rest of your statement (wouldn't want Ter Stegen in our goal either)

He is a good goalkeeper with the potential to be a great one. Would I wan't him in United? No thank's. He would be a huge downgrade from De Gea.
Donnarumma has declared his love for Milan, he has kissed the badge but he won't sign what I think is a fair contract offer. Not a great sign that a player so young acts this way against a club he says he loves. What will he do the next time he is up for a new contract?

And the less players Raiola has at United the better!

Kissing the badge means nothing. He's not from Milan.

You can love a place and leave it too, it's a job after all.

He deserves this. Better for him to leave now because he'll see more of this next season if he even plays.

Don't understand why people are criticizing him.

It's like Gerrard at Liverpool. Good player with an under-performing team (Milan have been shite for years). He has an opportunity to join a big club to win trophies, who wouldn't take that decision?

Also, he's not being unreasonable, he wants a clause that Milan will sell him for X amount if they under-perform again this season, he clearly gave more than enough for Milan.

I might hate Gerrard and Liverpool, but I respect Gerrard much much more for staying at that terrible club for (almost) the entirety of his career instead of moving to Chelsea like he wanted to, for eg.

Italy is producing a number of good / very good GKs recently. Donnarumma is the media darling because AC Milan is so sh*t these days they need something else to appease the fans. Scuffet, Meret, Perin may well have a better career ahead, especially Meret (many think he is better than Gigio but still unproven under big stages pressure). AC have another young prodigy named Plizzari and just 17 yo, he played with the U20 NT a few days ago at WC.

It's rumoured that he set the clause at 10 million, which is an insult to Milan.

Why? You respect him for staying somewhere that didn't match his talents?

Would you of respected Dele Alli if he had stayed at MK Dons his whole career?

If Donnarumma has the chance to go to Madrid and become the goalkeeper for the reigning European champions he'd be daft not too. Milan didn't have to wait till now to try and get him to renew, they could of done it last summer if they were so desperate.

100% this, I don't get why people get so hung up about the fact he 'kissed the badge'. He has the right to choose his own path in his career, and he doesn't owe anything to Milan imo - he's clearly very talented and probably would've played at any team by now, it only happened so fast at Milan since they didn't have a world class or very good goalie at that time.

How is that even remotely comparable? Gerrard won everything there is to win with Liverpool except for the Premier League.

I think there was a tweet today in which Raiola claims it was 40m not 10m and that Milan refused to give to provide more information on who their new owners are. I am not saying Mino is not bullshitting as usual but if that is true, I cannot fault the guy.

Raiola says €40 million, and also refers to the lack of clarity from the new owners regarding plans for the future.

He's got a big chance to move to a top side and get paid. That's the bottom line. The rest is all just nonsense in my opinion.

Thought he was a local lad but as a post on the previous page says, he only joined Milan in 2013.

For comparison, he's actually played more games for Milan's first time than De Gea did for Atletico before he joined us.

He shouldn't have talked the way he did in the past. Fans are the reason why guys like him get paid these ridiculous amounts of money. Wish fans in England would stand up and show their anger. Tbf, stewards would come in and demand sucking it up.

Back to topic, he could have gone in 4 years, with 22 years of age he would still count as young. But -as things are today, he wants everything now and about 4 mil after taxes ain't enough. Let's see how he most likely does at Juve. I'm not sold on him, don't think he'll become world class over there, let's find out...

De Gea left at 21, though. Donnarumma is only 18 - Milan made him first choice at 16!

Only in the league. In all competitions, De Gea played more.

De Gea
La Liga: 57
Europa League (winner 09/10): 13
Copa del Rey: 12
Champions League: 1
Super Cup (winner 10): 1
Total: 84

Donnarumma
Serie A: 68
Coppa Italia: 3
Supercoppa Italiana (winner 16): 1
Total: 72

Albeit Donnarumma is much younger than De Gea was.

True, but a counter-argument could be that fans are typically only interested in players when they're talented and playing well. Those fans will tend to turn on a player when they perform poorly, and will quite happily see their club sign players for massive fees from smaller clubs than their own in similar circumstances.

Mino reckons himself as some sort of Varys-like character with all this political intrigue

Are you seriously comparing Milan to MK Dons?:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

No - my point is Donnarumma is Milans best player, and clearly a level above his team mates. Why should he stay at a club that doesn't match his ambitions?

I'm not singling you out alone mate, but since you posted these exact words I may as well ask, since I've seen this same thing posted in many places. Why should he wait four years to transfer? That is a long time in football. If he breaks his arm next year and never manages to have the same use of it ever again, will Milan still want him to be their keeper? Will Madrid still be interested in him?

What the feck is going on? If he was hacked then what was that Raiola tweet about? He should just come out and film himself saying that he's either staying or leaving, no one can hack a vocal chord.

Raiola being the master manipulator. I bet he gets language in the contract of Donnarumma that ensures he gets half on any future transaction
