So:
- Donnarumma will earn € 6 mln per season, the highest payed after Dybala and Higuain in Serie A, and he's 18 y.o.!!!
+
- € 50 mln release clause if AC Milan won't reach the UCL (50% chance imho)
+
- Milan must also hire Donnarumma's brother Antonio (a shytty gk) who will earn € 1 mln a-year

Feck, probably Mino Raiola is the best in the world at his job..

And Donnarumma doesn't love AC Milan, he loves money.. you cant sign this type of contract and keep saying that u love AC Milan

You see why players love him.
He's a fantastic agent.

I want Raiola on my side of the table at my next salary negotiation.

That is what is important though. Why would agents give a shit about the clubs?

I explained why I think he is getting a stick. How much did Pogba eventually cost? 20-30 million euros of that transfer was paid under the table to Raiola, as part of the deal, hence the absurd price on Pogba (which also why it scared off Real before they initiated negotiation, because they don't want to negotiate dodgy deals with agents like that) - for instance.

I thought the original contract offer was also big financially. The whole reason for the rejection was Raiola wanted a ridiculously low release clause which Milan wouldn't accept.

Now he's signing a contract with a much higher release clause that Milan are happy with.

Seems like Milan are the winners here, not Raiola.

The same Real that were found guilty of transfer irregularities? Also united were cleared of any wrongdoing in this case so I doubt there was any reason for Madrid to be worried about such a deal, Juventus set the price and United paid. How the fee broke down after that was irrelevant to United or indeed to madrid had they gone in for him.

There was no under the table payments, they made the payments as per the agreement.

:lol::lol:

Because he fecks clubs over. He is a notorious club-fecker.

His players must love him though.

Exactly, I'd love him too! Hahaha

Always goes unnoticed when clubs F players over. At the end of the day, players have a short career, they need to get the most out of the game as possible.

@roonster09 @GBBQ The transfer ban that was eventually withdrawn. Sure, per agreement; nevertheless, he is a headache for clubs which is always in a risk of backfiring on his clients in the sense that it excludes some possible alternatives in the market. Why do you think he sometimes get a stick? A tragic coincidence?

Exaclty. I don't blame the players for hiring him, I'd try to get him as my agent too.

@Regulus Arcturus Black You know what's funny? Pogba's performance last season:D:wenger:

He gets stick because he gets what his players wants, however it might be. He is an ass to the clubs but wonderful person for his players.

Re the transfer, Pogba and his agent agreed 25% on the future fee and they were paid as per the agreement.

Juventus got about 50m profit out of a player who costed them next to nothing.

Exactly, he is a dream agent for his players, and a nightmare for the clubs. Imagine not being Messi, Cristiano, Modric, Robben, Lewandowski, Neymar etc. And yet get paid and a deal as if you are proven like Neymar. Especially since all clubs know the premiss of negotiating with Raiola, yet it ends up with his clients getting the most out of the deal.

But I think the worst part is his mouth. It is his way of putting the pressure in negotiations when he openly says contorversial stuff towards the clubs his clients are negotiating with, but it is not pretty, and I can imagine that for the club's own fans it is a bit frustrating (I bet the Milano fans are not so warm towards Donnarumma at the moment). Sometimes during midseason he will have his outburst, if his clients are benched for instance, which could cause bad morale within the club, and changed the momentum if the club is doing well so far.

I don't have problem in players getting good money, I have said it many times. They are the ones who makes the game.

They were still found guilty of transfer irregularities.

Haha, I have no problem with it either, until they are playing poorly:D If you are paid as world class, then you better act world class, for instance. Else you are just taking up space in salary, for other signings.

They're paying an 18 year old keeper like €10M a year, that's crazy. Would be better spent on other players.

Pay him €10M for the coming season and then sell him for €80M next summer. No contract extension and he walks away next year on a free transfer.

This is a good deal for all parties imo. The player gets a huge pay rise and the club insures that their most valuable asset doesn't walk away on a Bosman.

It takes multiple parties to agree a deal, if you are paid world class then your club think you are world class.

Initially a ban was applied for registration of young players that were not born in Spain - which two of them turned out to be Zidane's sons, who at least one of them were born and raised in Spain, and the other also raised in Spain. The other players turn out to be similarly unjustified reasons to get a ban - hence why it eventually got lifted.

What?!?!?! CAS only halved the ban on appeal, they weren't exonerated.

Yes, at the initial point. As I mentioned - as soon as you start playing poorly, that is when these things gets brought up to the surface. It is similar as some brazilians partying habits; when Roberto Carlos played less well in some period of games, then he would not hear the end of it, about his partying habits, disciplinary problems, etc. Nasri in Sevilla started the Autumn surprisingly well, despite not being disciplined, but when he was so poor during the Spring, all the talks of him being undisciplined, that he should not be bought because of his heavy salary and poor behaviour, etc. Rooney has been quite poor for 1,2 maybe 3 seasons now, and I have seen all types of (possibly justified) complaints of his salary, his fitness, his whatever.

Yeah I agree with that point but you can't blame players for trying to get as much money as possible. Agents just help the players and get what they wants, after all agents are employed by players.

@GBBQ True, it could be that it only applied to a January window, or maybe to the summer prior to that January window. Which brings the question of why this 'half-way' punishment...

@roonster09 That is true, agents are not doing anything wrong. As initial point made; I would love to have Raiola as agent. But I can imagine that as a supporter of Milan or Barca (when Zlatan was there) that specifically Raiola does bring lot of headache. I think that is why he is getting stick, as also some may have mentioned. The clubs know the premiss, they know what Raiola is about, but Raiola and his clients tend to get the best deals there is. Very impressive.
To be honest, I apologise for drifting away from the thread subject; halfway through I forgot that this was a thread about Donnarumma.

No problem mate, after all we are discussing agent in a player transfer thread :smirk:

I think it's a good deal for all parties, will be interesting to see how Milan fans will receive him.

Yeah. Footballing wise, I would think it is odd to leave Milan now, when they are finally up to building something. As if the giant that went to sleep after the scudetto in 2011, now they are finally slowly waking up.

According to La Gazzetta the most payed Goalkeeper in the world:
1. Manuel Neuer: 9 mln
2. David De Gea: 6,8 mln
3. Gianluigi Donnarumma: 6 mln
4. Thibaut Courtois: 4,1 mln
5. Gianluigi Buffon: 4 mln

wow, the 3rd most payed in the world at 18 y.o!!!

So:
- Donnarumma will earn € 6 mln per season, the highest payed after Dybala and Higuain in Serie A, and he's 18 y.o.!!!
+
- € 50 mln release clause if AC Milan won't reach the UCL (50% chance imho)

How do you know his brother is "shytty"?

Yeah much as fans might dis agents you can't imagine an 18 year old negotiating that deal himself

He's the best agent in the game.

Don't get why Raiola get's so much stick? He's really good.

Him and Mendes gets the impossible done. Unbelievable. Like watching Ari Gold in entourage
His tactics certainly get results.. He has probably damaged the players reputation with fans though.
