We're heading for another election before Christmas I think, as the numbers don't really let anyone form a lasting government.

Totally agree with that. There's no workable government here, not like when there was a more influential Lib Dem party in 2010. Another election is the only realistic outcome here.

If that does happen I'd fancy Labour to make further gains as Corbyn has proven he can get votes. 2018 Labour/SNP coalition government imo.

The Tories have wasted more of this countries time than any party in history. Cocked up referendum and unnecessary election, years of wasted time and poor government. I hope they pay for it next time.
It has backfired spectacularly. We now go into brexit negotiations not knowing exactly who is governing the country. Might not actually have a P.M. We might have to go through all this again and another election likely to be called. Mrs. May you have badly misjudged the mood. Silly woman. Can we delay negotiations?

Still coming in well behind first place who, by all accounts, have had a disastrous campaign. It's still the biggest margin since 2001, let's not forget that. They're labour, not UKIP, such a margin still shouldn't be acceptable.

They came from 20 points behind. A huge success in anyone's books even if I would have preferred an outright Labour majority. If they go again in the autumn all those voters who didn't vote Labour because they thought that they had no chance of victory will switch and we will have a Labour government back again.

Brexit not getting canned is the biggest concern.

Not sure that whatever happens re Brexit can be any worse that the utter arse the Tories are already making of it.

The talk of EVEL - are we sure the Tories don't actually have a majority of English MPs?

Becasue labour have been in an absolute mess. They still aren't where they should be, and they've still been comfortably defeated.

Is that was ever really in danger of happening then we would've substantial backing for the Lib Dems.

Can we delay negotiations?
Theoretically possible, but need all 27 EU countries to agree to it. The EU in general wants to get going though.

Triggering article 50 and then calling for a election right before the start of the juicy bits must be seen as actively damaging the country surely?

One thing that was a disgrace was the way they essentially parachuted May into the top job. No final vote from the Tory membership, because of the way they treated Leadsom and forced her to step aside.

Hope the revolters now decide to do their job. Cooper in for Abbot at home sec would be nice

They got a bigger vote share than in 2015 and in 2010.

Yes apparently

It was madness. She thought they would stroll the election and have an even bigger majority. Instead she has plunged the country and it's future into utter chaos.

Oh yeah, slimy fecker. Interesting though that he's putting it down to the public's desire for more public spending.

Probably because, being a long term Eurosceptic obsessive, he wants to talk about anything other than the fact this result has failed to deliver a mandate for hard brexit.

Jesus Christ some of these margins are ridiculous. This could have been a whole lot worse for the Tories.

If one thing comes out of this it might just get youngsters voting. Bet they wish they had bothered when Brexit was the subject. We wouldn't be in this mess now if they had.

Tactical voting could've fecked the Tories up.

Let May feck up the early discussions and fee then we'll have another vote in a few months
