Just over half an hour in. The moderator isn't great.

Bit of both. One of the few things the caf has in common with RAWK

Would imagine it's probably the case on most football forums tbh. Younger, 20-something's on average, often left-wing etc.

Being good in the political arena does not necessarily encompass being a showman.

There's a difference between lacking showmanship and crumbling like a poorly made steak pie as soon as someone even looks like they're going to question you.

Rudd says she hasn't costed their manifesto and yet criticises Corbyn for fantasy economics. Ok.

If you watch her in Prime Minister's questions she's actually very adept at head to head debate, I just don't think she's comfortable in front of the big lights and cameras.

She's bloody terrible at PMQ's, all she does is trot out soundbites and wait for her MPs to heckle.

What? She's really, really not. Cameron was far stronger than May is. She diverts away from basic questions and isn't able to do so competently.

Wow I didn't realise the caf was so pro-labour. Or is it just anti-torie?

Aside from a minority of Scots/Welsh/N Irish and floating English voters, the Caf is one of those red rosettes on a turd constituencies.

When they're trying to all gang up on Rudd, it'd make more sense for them to...you know, take turns, instead of all doing it at the same time. She's weak when questioned on actual policy. Like most of her party.

Didn't think there was much in-fighting between the parties that might feasibly form a left wing coalition.

Most of the chaos was caused by allowing some bloke from down the pub on the stage with them. Him and Rudd when she was claiming that the Tories are for the needy.

All the manifestos contribute to the deficit, and that's the worrying part. Labour are basically saying wtf with the deficit, which the majority don't realise.

I didn't realise the BBC was so pro-Labour.

Where was the SINGLE question on you know, Corbyn's weakpoint, the semi-important topic of Brexit?

At least they're not promising to get rid of it while embarrassingly failing to do so like the Tories.

did you not watch the first hour, was like chirdren screaming over the top of each other.

Being good in the political arena does not necessarily encompass being a showman.

It's not necessarily showmanship she lacks. It's any sort of humanity, empathy, or original thought.

I really, really don't understand why the Conservatives tried to run a presidential, cult of personality style campaign with her, and the more exposure she's had to voters the more she's been exposed.

The idea that she'd have any success dealing with the EU is laughable, as her private meeting with EU leaders shows, and her record in government should inspire no-one.

She's incompetent. Her only attack line is she thinks that Corbyn is even more so, but yet we're supposed to take it that she'll stand up to the EU when she's too scared to debate him for fear of being shown up?

It really wasn't that bad. What did people expect when you have what 7 parties represented on one stage?

But if the Tories keep calling it 'chaos' then people will keep believing it unfortunately.

Good point.
The import export deficit can't be neutralised until we get serious again about our manufacturing, and companies aren't so willing to be taken over.
You have to admit, though, that Labour are taking the piss with their manifesto. Are we saying that the debt situation is beyond recoverable, so lets just promise everything in order to get in power?

Farron strikes me as the type of person who would start an argument in an empty room.

The state of British politics really is an utter shambles right now, find it extremely difficult to warm to anyone, they're all as bad as each other as far as I'm concerned.

Think May's decision to send Rudd despite the death of her father two days ago makes it look positively callous, let alone cowardly.
Agree. I didn't know about this. I hope and expect that Corbyn would have offered her his condolences in private if he was aware.

Not much fighting, but undoubtedly came across as messy.

I genuinely don't get this. Why does the personality of any of them actually matter? They're running on wildly different platforms, so just pick the one that fits your life needs or beliefs the best.

Then you are not doing enough research. There is a world of difference between all of them.

Sun's live debate updates:
BBC Election Debate 2017 live updates – Jeremy Corbyn slammed by Amber Rudd for ‘chilling’ record of voting AGAINST anti-terror laws

Weird. I thought he hit back saying May also opposed anti-terror legislation but there doesn't seem to be any mention of that so guess it didn't happen.

Tory Minister's father mysteriously dies shortly before the dementia tax hits her inheritance. A case for Midsummer Murder's if ever I have heard one.

ed.

Not so. The fact that the EU are demanding promises about EU citizens living in the UK post brexit, which also includes children and grandchildren, shows that the EU is weakening with its view on the UK ending free movement.
They are already showing signs of conceding this point.

Who mentioned anything about personality?

I think the only thing that shows is your fundamental misunderstanding of the debate here.

one of the main reasons i am voting for corbyn is becuase he comes accorss as a good person who wants to do the right things, their are polices of his i don't agree with, but do i want a good person running the country that is important to me, their all gonna make mistakes, but i'd at least like to know those mistakes come from trying to do the right thing.

You're kidding right?
Point me out one time that "Brexit" was even mentioned in a question. There were questions where answers overlapped with Brexit obviously because it's such a huge topic but not one single direct question requiring hard detail from all about all.
