AdM to PSG = Bale to us? I'd actually prefer to have Bale over AdM in our squad. He just seems like a better fit.

Ah sorry I misread your post. Didn't realise you meant this summer in which case I agree with that valuation. If he were to repeat his last season again, I do think the fee would be significantly lower though.
Actually the valuation was for the next season. After a "poor" season United was willing to pay 140. This season he will have more protagonism and probably his statistics of goals and assists will be great,
There are few players in the world with that physical superiority and the ability to win trophies for themselves. In addition to the publicity value that he has. I don´t think that is an excessive amount

Feasible in my view. He's failed to master the language, which immediately separates him from team mates, media and fans. He's received dogs abuse from RM fans both on and off the pitch. In those circumstances, given the right offer he may well feel it's an option. There's still almost 6 weeks left of the window so plenty of time for Utd to work on him.

Much like Di Maria, he isn't very suited to a possession based style, he's actually much less suited to it than Di Maria. Would be a waste of a truckload of money.

i missed the 1st half of real's first preseason game and i read that bale was used as a no 10. quite an imaginative if not funny creation. how's that 45 mins looking alike?
But isn't the possession game more for the defenders and midfielders? At some point you need to stop passing it about and score a goal, and that's what Bale can do.
From the fact these stories keep cropping up in the press you have to think either Bale and his people or real or united are keen enough on a deal to keep briefing off the record.

Yeah lazy hacks can make this stuff up all day long. Bale is a target, in so much as he's on the clubs list of players they would like. So this story can be run endlessly without being inaccurate.
