Bale would be a great signing, dream like in fact.
He is premier league proven, a match winner, an athlete and he's young. No brainer really. Are people actually forgetting what he is capable of?

but, tight spaces bro

Bale was having lunch couple days ago here in Cardiff, it's on.

Dont want Bale, People rave about his scoring record at Spurs....a lot of players could match that if they took a shot almost every single time they had the ball.
He took 5 shots a game in that season, hardly shooting every time they had the ball. Took 3.3 shots per game in his first Madrid season and pretty much scored the at the same rate. fact is he's a big goal threat in attack without being too selfish at that.

Taking 5 shots per game sounds like Stevie Me going for glory with tons of selfishness. Who says Bale is not the same?

Well he's not the same, seeing as he's a forward and not a midfielder.

I'm a Gerrard hater, but a prime Gerrard in the spot Fellaini occupied this year would be fantastic.

Looking at Van Gaal's style of football, and how easily teams figured us out this season once we hit some kind of form, we need players who can pick a lock - Bale isn't that.

We've seen with di Maria how a Real Madrid counter attacker works with Van Gaal's possession football.

I'd rather we spent our money elsewhere to be honest.

Could also argue our problem is less about not being able to slip a pass through than the lack of clever movement by the front 3. Mata, Di Maria and Herrera can all play a through ball.

He's an attacker who's primary job is to put the ball in the back of the net. 5 shots a game is pretty much expected and wanted from him.

With Di Maria staying, Rooney being captain and after we bought Memphis it was pretty much a given. Di Maria doesn't seem likely to play in midfield much so where would we fit Bale?

Buying the most expensive player in football who wouldn't be what we need was unlikely anyways.

If he comes available we will try to buy him though.

Delighted that this seems a no goer and that he will probably never put on a United shirt if he now goes on and has a half decent season at Madrid.

Take that ''he is destined to play for United''fanboys.

I don't mind Real developing him for another year for us. He has his best years ahead of him so im in no rush to see him at United just yet. Im sure when he does leave them we will be his best option, certainly financially!

But will he be United best option?

Good. He doesn't want to leave, simple as that. He's been saying this all along.

Would people really want a player who was desperate to stay, and chose that club over us in the first place? Doesn't smell of someone who would stay with us for years and years.

Yep, we can draw a line under this one (if a line was ever even needed).

The club would surely be all for the move, but he's not interested. I think he's wasting his time there, and would be better off joining any of the bigger English clubs, but he's obviously interested in giving it more of a go.

Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Keane - these guys are players who can change the complexion of a game.
When your team is not firing on all cylinders you need 1 man who can drive everybody else forward and change the game.
Right now, we do not have this. I think the closest thing we have to this is Rooney, but he isn't the best at this.

That shit looks easy. Here, hold my gin and tonic.

Couldn't do it at his Madrid unveiling WUSS!!

nice.

benchmark this thread for when we finally sign him at 32 with zero pace left

Can I just say those are not the words of Bale, that's his PR / Twitter which is not run by him.

I have it on good authority that work was being done to try and get Bale (again).

We tried to get him 2 years ago and offered Spurs more than Real for him - I said at the time we were trying, I even started a thread on the Newbies forum about it and got absolute pelters despite my info coming directly from someone at United.

Anyway... it may not go anywhere, but there has been work done to try and get him, and despite all the talk about him being happy, I've heard otherwise and he'd be open to a move.

Real won't sell until late anyway, near the end of the transfer window, so it might not be fully dead just drag on for months.

I hate the transfer window, especially when we're told that deals will be sorted out quickly etc. Arrrrgh! heh

So, you've got ITK info coming directly from United and directly from Bale - info that none of the press has had access to?

No, just from United.

But they know when they're being encouraged, things get back to the club which encourages them to attempt / start talks.

Its a strange situation. He or (his agent) repreatedly trotting out the line that he's "happy" is to be expected even if he isnt, because if a move doesnt come off he'll get even more grief from the fans.

The fact is he doesn't look like a happy footballer, or for that matter a happy man. The President of the club might love you but its like your dad being the manager of the team and picking you. Its not likely to endear him to the players - especially given the number of ego's around there.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if he was very interested in a move gback to the Premier League - despite the repeated denials.

OK. Well, I hope your source is right cos I would love to see Bale at United - he would take us to the next level IMO

I would love to see him at United too, so let's hope eh!

I will give any updates I can but things do change in football and players who are targets one day are not the next.

Frustrating, yes!

I thought ITK bollocks wasn't allowed on here?

Anybody with genuinely good inside information wouldn't be posting about it on an internet forum.
