Gareth Bale

I hope not. Don't want Perez getting anymore of our money - he can feck right off.

Personally I couldn't care who gets the money, if we need the player and can afford him then make the bid.

Bale would make a massive difference to our side, 100 million Euros difference I am not so sure but assuming we sell Di Maria for 60 odd then it's not such a leap.

I think my biggest worry would be if he goes to one of our rivals, Chelsea, City or arsenal because I think bale is so good that he would immediately make them favourites for the league, which is why it's vital for Utd to get him before anyone else can.

So, when we sign him, can we make him get a haircut?

Flo might think he can sacrifice Bale to regain some fan support after the Casillas/Ramos fiasco, even though he is his pet project. He knows Bale will want to come back eventually, might as well sell while the price is as high as it will get rather than risking a poor season.

Some of the anti-Bale stuff here is just weird. If he returned to the PL he'd be right up there as the best player in the league, if we can get him we should. End of story.

Florentino wants Bale to be the new Cristiano , and I think he and we the fans wonder how Bale will be at 100%. At the moment we have only seen flashes of brilliance but I think we all agree that he has not shown his true potential. To be the new leader he has to be better and more decisive than Cristiano, showing it on the field and forget those poor excuses about his position. If he fails after three years( and depending on the results at the end of the season), then yes , I think he would be sold in the summer of 2016 . In any case I would like to see an official offer for Bale this summer, coming from the most reliable newspapers. It would be interesting to see the opinions of associates. On the other hand Madrid has enough problems with MSN and their treble and we can´t afford to lose an important piece, especially when there is no player in the market talented enough to tip the scale

Won't happen in 2015. He is Perez lovechild.

Still can't get my head round why a Welshman chose to go to Real over. United. Then again, he did own a pink Bentley.

Could be kind of interesting because there's no way Benitez would do what Ancelotti did and try to accommodate all of Ronaldo/Bale/Benzema/Rodriguez and Isco in one side and they'll probably activate Morata's resale clause and bring him back next season or so. There's bound to be one or two odd ones out.

But why should we sign Bale when we've got Valencia and Young???

hehehhe

Reus ?

Reus is a good player but better than Bale?I don't think that he can produce the same amount of goals+assists. Sometimes posters write that with Bale,United would have the fear factor,do you think that the fear factor would be the same with Reus?.

As long as you have Ronaldo scoring 60 goals per season, you will always have the fear factor

He's not Ronaldo however he's extremely talented, he's young and he's British. That's a rare mix this days. Lets sign him irrespective of the price.

why not? either Bale or Reus is more than satisfactory

We'll take Reus, you can keep Bale

I don't think so at all. Reus is a good player but incredibly overrated on these boards.

If they won't sell Ramos who wants to leave why would they sell Bale. We must just be going through their squad list one by one or it's made up bollocks.

We tend to overrate Dortmund players. Do you remember Kagawa? He reminded me of Park without the workrate

The fans love Ramos, only Perez loves Bale, the fans despise him and blame him for all their shortcomings last season. They also blame him for keeping Isco and James out of the team.

Perez doesn't seem to care much about what the fans think, though.
And that's why Bale will stay at Madrid, Perez isn't a man of the fans hes out for personal achievement. If Madrid win a Champions League this season then Bale will be the reason why, and Perez brought Bale in so hes the real hero.

Harsh? I've never seen a player so out of depth at United since Bebe TBH. World class my arse. He should be playing with Sunderland alongside OShea

I agree he wasn't great, but he had moments of excellent vision, technique (which can't really be said about Park) and ability to combine with others. Too bad it only happened a handful of times throughout his time here.

Technique? Vision? He always needed 2 touches to control the ball, his passing was meah and he was easily bullied out of the ball. He should be grateful that he's been associated to Park. He was far less effective for us than Ji was

If I had to choose between Reus and Bale than I go for the latter every time. Reus played in a team which made Kagawa look like a great player. That's something we need to be concerned about

Yeah but you know he ran a lot and made quick passes. :D

Thank God we haven't replaced Rooney with him. It would have been as idiotic as Liverpool's decision of replacing Suarez with Lambert and Balotelli

Anyone following my posts know that I am not a sucker for British talent. I think they are ridiculously expensive and overrated, the latter being one of the main reasons why Britain + Ireland hasn't been producing the amount of quality players as they used to do. However considering the nature of the EPL and the fact that our club isn't located in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe than if I had to choose between a British player and a foreigner of equal talent than Id go for the former even if he's more expensive.

Bale is a quality player. He's not Ronaldo but he's clearly a world class player and better than the players we've got. It would be criminal not to go for him.

Of course, no one would claim otherwise. I still think Kagawa was a more naturally gifter footballer, without being the better player. But oh well.

Agree with the last bit, Bale every time.

Agreed. In fact I think I'd rather get Bale than Ronaldo -- financially it just makes more sense.

Perez just sacked his manager for not playing Bale and people think he will be sold to us?
