Gareth Bale | Linked with United again

I've never thought this was likely before now. I have a feeling it might go through in the summer...

Injured his calf muscle yet again on Tuesday night and hasn't trained since or know when he'll be back. There can't be anyone out there who still wants him surely, the injuries are just not going away.

confirmed out for an unknown amount of time ---

His muscles must be like guitar strings

Lol and still people want him to come to Utd on half a million per week.

Sit it out at Madrid, Gareth :)

Makes Jones seem immune to injury in comparison.

If we go for this crock then I give up.

If that's to be believed, United seem to have hired the Brexit negotiating team on this deal. Bale isn't going anywhere for £50m.

RM would probably be delighted to flog this sicknote and his monstrous wages for £50m. Anyone buying at that price would be silly.

I know they're different players, but I'd rather have Ozil in this current United side.

I think we need vision and creativity. Bale had his chance to join United and wanted to be elsewhere.

I know I'm in the minority, but given the fact the Mourinho has had a track record of improving injury record of teams and players, if we could get Bale for 40-50 million; I don't think you will find as talented of a player at that price. There may be players with as high of potential, but for that money I don't think you will find someone that will step in immediately and contribute with goals and assists like he can.

He clearly has never fancied a move to United, I don't see why we should go for him now, especially under the circumstances (injuries, wage).

The transfer fee ain't half of it. Agent fees, sign on fees, plus the lad is on 600k pw and he's not likely to be keen on a paycut now is he? Also he's currently on contract till 2021, so he's bound to demand a minimum of 3 years contract to at least safeguard the money he's due to get from Madrid.

That's a ridiculous amount of money and an enormous risk for a player who can't complete two training sessions in a row. And one that hasn't ever shown the slightest bit of interest in joining United might I add.

PS. As for not finding a player that talented for £50m, I thought Messi is a free agent this summer isn't he?

50 mill transfer fee, 150k a week. He is too injury prone.

He doesn't even want to come to United, why would he come for 1/4 of his current wage?

I'm just saying what I think we should be offering. If he doesnt like the offer oh well.

Nope, if he leaves he won't be leaving by choice.
Stay in Madrid and retire all you want Gareth, obviously the glitz of Madrid excites you more than getting your career back on track.
He's like Darren Fletcher if he never left us. Sometimes you need a change of scenery, a change of approach.

Worst saga ever. He is incredibly injury-prone and isn’t worth 100M due to his age mixed in, but he is also a matter of principle for Perez. So he won’t sell for 60M, we won’t pay 100M and the story continues in eternity. Boring, I actually look forward to him quitting the game just to get rid of this nonsense. Stupid injuries messing up great players like Bale, Reus et al.

Lingard is on £100k a week, Bale would rightfully laugh at that offer, he'd be closer or on the same terms as Pogba.

I really wouldn't want Bale at United though.

Honestly, the bolded puts me off more than his injury record.

Id take him on loan with a view to a permanent deal at the end of season, subject to terms and conditions.

For some weird reasons, when it comes to Bale the age Nazi ain't strong as other thread. I guess I'll lead this. Too old, big wage, injury prone, ain't enthusiastic for the move to us as far as I'm concerned. DO NOT WANT

I’m REALLY glad we avoided this signing. He’s peaked. He’s injury prone and his wages are going to be huge. What’s most confusing for him is his wages. If he moves he’s going to have to take a wage cut pretty much everywhere else apart from here and possibly PSG. Who else will sign him? Chelsea no, city- not their profile anymore (their profile is reaping the rewards now)
I don’t want another half arsed crocked galactico signing who’s here because we are one of the only clubs who can afford his stupidly huge wages. He had his chance to sign for us and by all accounts could have signed yet again at the start of this season. SO glad we dodged this bullet.
