Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Really loved it. It's been a reasonable time since the books and I feel I now watch the show on its own. And this must be the first episode in a long time I wasn't annoyed by anything. Maybe the Dany and Sansa bits.
The Thenns and the Dornish are gonna be good for the show. So is the Arya and The Hound combo.

- A man's gotta have a code.

This season start is so good it made me feel sorry for Sir Jaime... until Hound woofed 'feck The King' again.

Good show.

Even that's too big a spoiler for me. If you've read the books, don't ever comment on anything future related at all please.

Great opening for the season. The Hound and Tyrion had some great lines. The prince character seems likely to stir up some much needed shit in the Capital. Shae is starting to annoy me and is likely to get killed or shipped after the secret gets out. Can't wait for next episode.

The only thing he said is basically that it's been so long since he read the books that it's like a new series for him now, not knowing what'll happen.
I mean unless someone saying they read the books is a spoiler, then you're being over paranoid here...

Just don't talk about the books! At all! How hard is that?

I'm not sure what's so difficult to comprehend, the books should never be mentioned in any capacity, ever. Infact, if you are a book reader, you shouldn't really be saying anything in here other than "that was good/bad" or "nice tits on that one" or "eboueblows". This has been ongoing for three years now, grow some brains.

Half the posts in this thread are people whinging about something.

For the love of God please don't mention the books or knickers will get knotted.

Yeah the thread title says it all really. What he or she might have meant by it is irrelevant, if there's even a tiny chance people can interpret something as a book spoiler, don't post it.

On topic: Jaime's hand waving and The Hound's "What the feck's a Lommy?" were brilliant.

Seems the live broadcast did pretty well for Sky, maybe that might encourage them to look at making them regular:

Is the language in the books as crude as in the TV show ?

"Lot's of people name their swords."
"Lot's of cnuts!"

What a finish. Arya Stark Ladies and Gentleman, the best fecking character around.

Where's the spoiler?

Is that not a spoiler? I don't want to know a fecking thing. For all I knew Arya and the Hound could be split up in the next episode and The Thenns could be nothing characters.

I see. Fair enough then.

I managed to get my 60 year old mother to watch Game of Thrones. She caught up with the season to watch the premier (literally power watched all three seasons in like 2 weeks!). She despises the word cnut and even she burst out laughing at that line! (also the 'If you don't shut your cnut mouth part').

My prediction that Ayra is going to become some dark soulless murdering tornado of death is coming true. Me likey!

Is it fun when the sex scenes come on and you and you mam are watching together.

Hopefully you don't watch it at the same time. That'd be awkward as hell.

I would say no shit but it's probably warranted knowing some people.

So who is everyone's odds on favorites to die in a horrible fashion this season?
Tough one to answer at the moment because we haven't seen a lot of the characters but I can't see all of Dany's crew being alive come the end of the season, they're far too comfortable. Possibly Ser Jorah. I'd love to see Joffrey lose his head but not sure that will happen. I can see the Hound possibly sacrificing himself for Arya at some point. The brother and sister that are with Brann are definitely in danger as well.
