Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Nope, they just indicated that season 4 is midpoint of the story for them.

Which means at most, 4 more seasons for two more books, plus 2 pending books which makes it one season a book. Thought it is almost certain now that show will end before both the books are out.

Really? In that case we'll then be able to spoil the books for people not watching the TV show.

Oh how the worm has turned.

Thought it was a strong opening episode - there were either characters I cared about or stories I cared about in every scene (well, apart from a brief Samwell Tarley apperance)... and it set the scene for the new series quite well I thought.

Some notes:

- Nice to see Jaime has seemingly reverted back to his old self - i.e. being a bit of a dick...
- Speaking of dicks - great, dick-like appearance from Big Joff... he's such a wanker, 'tis great.
- I liked the introduction of this new Martell fella... established him as a threat/hothead and showed breasts in the process.
- For someone who hates slavery - Daenerys sure loves bossing people around/having people bow to her... nice looking dragons though.
- I prefer this new non-Andy Carroll to the old blonde Andy Carroll I think... as his face is much less punchable. (and he can now be less attractive Eric Bana). Though it all begs the question, who the feck chooses to do Transporter 4 instead of Game of Thrones!?!
- I'd totally forgotten about all that Mace Windu or whatever he's called, marching on the wall stuff... so good scene with Jon Snow to refresh the memory... looking forward to that battle, if we get to see it.
- All the Ariya and Hound stuff - especially at the end, was great - I'd love to see a buddy cop movie spin off with these two. Ariya obviously played by Eddie Murphy..

A lot of the "main" characters get one scene per episode, if even, it's probably quite frustrating to shoot.

Tyrion's face when Joffrey has a pop at Tywin in the last ep of series 3 is brilliant. Brilliantly subtle bit of acting.

Right is this as good as people say? I'm away to start it now, but I don't want to be disappointed.

It seems like many posters haven't read or understood the spoiler policy. From here on in failing to spoiler ANY speculation about future events along with a DESCRIPTION of the spoiler will result in warning points.

Agreed on Dario's character. This is pretty much the only feck up this show committed. The new actor feels a bit like 'Han Solo' type cunning assassin which is way more interesting than Andy Carroll posing as 'Billy bad ass'.

About Daenerys... She hates slavery indeed but in the same time she's 100% royal and bossing around is something rather natural for her bloodline. Her brother was perfect example of that kind of manners and lust for being on top of the 'pyramid'.

Jaime is a perfect negative hero that made even feel sorry for him. Hoping for more conversations between him and Joffrey. Should be hilarious.

It has not been mentioned on the show, but for a not very advance society technology wise, we have most of the men running around with beards or at least stubble, but the ladies must have access to some really decent razors.
