Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

The way the show has gone so far I'm surprised we didn't see any wieners this episode.

Oh and thanks South Park for making me think of that stupid "wiener version" of the Game of Thrones theme every time I hear it now.

Good episode, great last ten minutes. Prince Oberyn looks like a good character.

 The dialog in this episode was very good. Every scene with Sansa is ridiculously tedious and boring.

I like Sansa, I just get this feeling that she'll be an important character. I think it's because out of all the characters in the capital, she seems to be the one who has the most connection with the "every man", (see necklace scene). The mob is Rome after all.

Love the hound, Oberyn seems like a bit of a twat but a twat I'll like, and I still think Dany is a self righteous cnut.

Really? I loved the Sansa scene this week. The actress playing her is very good.

Also: "feck the King." *complete silence*

Brilliant.

I'm really hoping the dragons turn on her; that black dragon snapping at her made you think how much control she has over them now. But then again, they can't really burn her, so the only options are to either eat her or tear her apart...

I liked that little scene, showed how aggressive the dragons are getting. I think Jorah mentioned it that even though she's the mother of dragons, she can't control them. Daenerys needs to hurry up and make a move on Kings Landing whilst she still can control them. She seems more focused on freeing slaves than taking the throne.

Why don't people like Daenerys? I think she's a great character who's really grown from the early episodes of the show, though I can't see her simply waltzing her way to the throne without any interruptions or problems, as she has been doing so far.

She no longer gets her tits out for starters.

I may be biased from previous episodes in previous seasons but really I have this urge to get past her scenes. Nothing to do with the actress, just the character.

He said she can't tame them. I think he meant it like with other wild animals. Like Tigers who you can basically control as long as you show you are in power but mistaking them for domesticated pets might end badly for you. Or that's at least how I interpreted that scene. I also thought it was kind of stupid to pet a dragon anyways, not like he gonna feel anything through those scales anyways, it's like trying to pet a tank. :D

"A man's got to have a code" so meta

"Lots of people name their swords"
"Lots of cnuts"

So good!

Me too, don't really like her, or characters like her in general.

Although the actress who plays her is beautiful, my current crush.

I think part is the character and part is the actress playing her. I don't think Emilia Clarke is a very good actress. If she had at least a bit of charisma then I could buy all these people flocking to her.

Spot on.

Arya's exchanges with other characters is always great to watch. I don't think she's had any boring scenes across the seasons yet. I'm looking forward to her adventures with the Hound.

I hate the Arya story. Knew this was coming from the minute she was left alive and not captured after the Starks fell. "Youngest sibling escapes while the whole family is slayed by a villain and comes back to take revenge". So fecking cliched. I don't know how many times I have watched the exact same in TV, film and anime.

The worst thing about this repeated method is that now she will face, and kill, opponents she should have never stood a chance against logically. Just to glorify the revenge part of it.

I hope she dies as soon as possible, can't see it happening though. Everyone wants to clap while watching a young powerless girl so easily go on a rampage.

I don't think RR Martin will have made it that obvious, there are bound to be a through surprises along the way. I'm sure of it. Anyway, as cliched as it might be, if she does exact revenge on her family I'd actually like to see that.

I like the character, and her acting is good. But I hope to feck this isn't the same old we've seen so many times. But I think it would be, this episode being a proof.

But surely by now you know how the Game of Thrones universe works. It builds up and builds up and just when you think you know what's going to happen there's a sudden twist and it all comes crashing back down. I wouldn't be surprised if Arya does eventually die, the way it's gone so far.

She still has Sansa, Bran and Rickon. Plus Jon.

And saying the whole family was slain and she wants revenge makes it sound a bit simple. The family characters were given a lot of development and most people liked them so the audience wants to see Arya get her revenge.

I know I do. That Frey bastard better get his comeuppance.

Yeah but tits.
