Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Im guessing that was Bronn that dove at the end?

Also im guessing Drogon might be a little hurt but not killed, right? Id hate to see that spear be the thing that kills dragons. It looks so insignificant in size to do real damage to that big fecker of a dragon.

I like that it was Bronn that fired it though. Given how he fired the arrow in Blackwater too. Aim of a G.

Same here re the spear. It looked weak when the unveiled it the other episode and it looked pretty weak here. No way it should kill a dragon (hopefully that was the point it was making, they're gonna have to do better than that kinda thing).

It was a brilliant episode.

My one criticism is that most of the main characters seem to have plot armour now. How Bronn and Jaime didn't die (he obviously won't drown) is beyond me.

The two best scenes in that episode were arya and bronn. Arya was sensational, and i love that it's so believable that she's that good.

The scene with bronn from when his horse gets his leg cut off tonwhen he shoots the arrows at the dragon was brilliant. He's been missing all season and I'm glad they gave him such an epic part. When he was fighting his way to the scorpion was probably the best cinematography of the season so far.

Yeah agreed. Fine, it hurt the dragon, but the dragon still kicked ass after. Its like stepping on lego :nervous:

Yeah I checked to see who it was as it looked a bit like Dickon. But was Bronn and Jamie, with Jamie drowning (due to his armour).

ill be surprised if Jamie goes out though. Cant see that being his demise.

Saw hints of Dany/Jon connection in this episode. Also Davos is fantastic btw. Just with they would give LF and Varys more lines (but can see why they didnt).

Yah, i'm totally going to rewatch that scene a few times when it's not 3am. But feck me... Sansa did not look happy, don't fecking dare Sansa.
I think Sansa is just sad how different things are. She has her little brother and sister back but one is a husk who sees visions and the other has turned into a killer.

I thought they'd maybe actually have Bronn kills the dragon, but he caught by a burst of fire as Drogon fell towards him. Would've been a pretty epic way to go...but then more one liners from him won't go amiss.

I'd say the point being that if they continue to kill them we'd have few left. They've been killing minor roles off pretty frequently this season.

Sansa knows LF is upto something at least. I think shes just shocked at how much has actually changed with her little brother and sister. Its really not the same.

Also I feel LF is going to be added to Aryas list soon when Bran mentions the Chaos is a Ladder stuff (and what happened to Ned)

Presumably they'll have an absolute ton surrounding KL for when Daenerys attack, though. If one that hits a dragon can cause damage and bring it to the ground, then it's at least partly have an effect. I can see them being a red herring in the end though, and Qyburn getting roasted.

Think Jaime will be a captive of Dany's now, with a lot of tension ahead for Tyrion and Cersei regarding what Dany's plans for him are.

I also have my doubts that Jamie actually drowns.

Nah, no way. I think...

Jaime gets captured by Daenerys, but Tyrion betrays her and frees him. We saw towards the end there how he was kinda terrified for his brother's safety over that of Daenerys.

I suspect Bronn, being a sellsword and all, switches sides immediately.

I'm pretty confident that of the dragons the only one that's unkillable is Drogon, if any of the other dragons go into battle I reckon they'll die.

Yeah, Drogon's the one she's closest to, so you'd imagine one of the other two gets killed off.

Also when you see Jamie charging Drogon, that river/lake looks more like a puddle. When they both in the water it looks like Mariana Trench. Bugs the feck out of me.

Tyrion was watching Jaime. He'll have him fished out.

Assume he'll be a political prisoner. Then we'll have awesome scenes with Tyrion, Bronn, Jaime, Daenerys and Jon.

Oh she's certainly shocked, it just looked like her angry and storm off face.

Holy shit people. Take it easy. That was just an opinion. But it's pretty much bulletproof. Yall think the show will just let him drown lol?

Nah, his death will be something redeeming I think. Breaking an oath maybe but this time he will be remembered fondly. Again, speculation.

Do we think Jon Snow will ever mention Maester Aemon to Dany?

Nah just an opinion, mate. He's a king slayer. He has such powerful arc. The show won't let him just drown by getting knocked off his horse.

Which is fair if its an opinion. But you know, there have been leaks. Its a touchy issue....

Yeah I know. I guess I probably shouldn't have said "can confirm" in hindsight.

Now the show is so popular, I doubt he'll die so tamely. I did prefer it when nobody felt invincible though. Sometimes people die in shit ways, like Tywin.

True. Sometimes subverting glorious deaths (as the series has often done) works better, but yeah, can't see them having one of the shows main, central characters drowning like that.

Can we all just take a second to appreciate how bad-ass the Dothraki are? I think they had that won with or without Drogon, although he did help a fair bit!

They are pretty dangerous, I find them hard to root for though

That moment when Littlefinger is lost for words

Yeah think it's dawned on him that these new Starks aren't like the old ones, and he might be in over his head with them.

So glad everyone has now caught up. fecking killed me not speaking about this episode. My adrenaline was going mad towards the end of that episode!

A LOT of horses and carriages got burned in that battle. Slight speculation below, but nothing all that bad.

I seem to remember that the Tyrells supplied King's Landing with food as a part of their alliance. If the carriages were loaded to the brim with food, like Jaime alluded to a couple of episodes ago (starving out the Unsullied fram Casterly Rock), does that mean that famine will be the end of the people of King's Landing? General Tarly also mentioned that they were collecting crops from nearby farms to bring back to the capital. But it all got burned to the ground. Queen Cnutsie may have all the gold in the world, but if her remaining army and the people of the city starve to death there's no way she'll last long. Unless the Iron Bank can provide some fish tacos, of course.
