Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

I honestly don't mind changing it, it's one number every week and I always see the thread on a Sunday night anyway.

That's all true, but in the same tone, Spoony is right in the sense that it helps out the people who don't do the above, and it's no extra work for us to change the thread title. I always see this thread on a Sunday night anyway, and if jveezy doesn't mind either there will always be two of us updating it.

Well in my opinion it's common sense to do the above; if you don't know if you've seen the latest episode or not and you don't want it spoiled, don't click the thread before checking whether you are up to date or not. If you and jveezy are happy doing it then fair enough though.

What happens when both of you aren't around to do it? The lazy wankers will go into meltdown. I look forward to this day.

I argued the same but I've come around now. The day that happens we will stop doing it I suppose, but it won't because we are machines.

Yeah those lazy wankers. This country has gone to the dogs innit. Or something.

Seriously though, Hecto, you'll just have something extra to do, my guilt is telling me you should screw the episode and season digits/numbers, and leave it at 'airs on Sundays'. It's more than enough and will stop any confusion. Honest.

I work in an office full of people who will do their best to not have to do something for themselves, which leaves things being left for me or given to me to do and it's really frustrating when I am having to take time out of what I'm doing to do something for someone else because they simply can't be bothered. That's why I don't like seeing unnecessary work being made for other people because a select few don't want to do something for themselves. Anyway, I digress.

I don't disagree actually...which is why I suggested he just keeps the 'airs on Sundays' part. It's more than enough for absent minded folk like myself.

I liked it, it was especially cruel, as it should have been. He shouldn't have broken his oath, and if he had too, shouldn't have been stupid enough to think that an apology and bringing your wife along to the shamed house would resolve it. He was a bit stupid really, and looked as much just before his death......"Mother".....sorry, she can't do much you over the sound of Bolton stabbing the feck out of you Hargo. That's not to say I expected the death or betrayal, but he should have been more cautious.

He definitely should have been more cautious. If he wanted the bloke's army, he should have just married the daughter in the first place.

I can't say I was overly surprised by the betrayal, you could see it building up, but the way in which it was executed was quite shocking. On the one hand I'm disappointed because I quite liked Robb and Talisa but on the other, I think it's good that the series isn't afraid to kill of its main characters that regular viewers have grown fond of.

No no, I'm not arguing with you. I was just explaining why I am against it, that's all.

I'll remove it for now as we've somehow gone full circle, but I can't promise I'm not going to start updating from now on out of misplaced stubbornness.

If only the Game of Thrones characters settled their problems like we do in here, half of them wouldn't get massacred.

The only fair thing to do here is start a new thread where everyone must check in to state that they have watched the newest episode. Once everyone is checked in this thread can be opened again.

To be fair Hecto, 'airs on Sunday' is sufficient enough. I'm saying that from the bottom of my heart. (yes, I do have one...)

fecking hell 3 pages talking about the thread title!

Must say though that I fully expect some cretin to spoil some plot point one way or another now due to all the hysteria surrounding it on social media. Some kind of rick-rolling pranks perhaps

I appreciate the concern. I'd rather not get into a habit of doing this for every thread and every show on here. I only personally care about this one, because I like it enough to want everyone else to enjoy it as much as I do. For any other show thread, I'm willing to just say "feck you. You did it to yourself," but for this one, I actually do feel bad when someone can't enjoy one of the most shocking moments in tv history along with the rest of the world because of a small mistake, no matter whose fault it is.

Between this and people accidentally going into the other thread and repeated arguments about the spoiler policy both here and in the newbies, I'm completely resigned to the fact that a small segment is always going to be pissed off about something no matter what, so I'm just going to do whatever I'm comfortable with and ask you all to be aware that this little safety net is provided by a human being that isn't always reliable. For all I know, I might just forget to do it next season. There's still threads in this forum that have titles relating to when the show first started. Please use your own discretion.

Oh goddammit. In the time it took me to type out a response, the plan changed again.

The spoiler rules are not being changed that's for sure.

Only one episode left, then emptiness for a year. GoT is like a fecking heroin addiction at this point, how is this fair?

Must resist, but temptation will be strong to join the smug nerdy empire and start reading.. books :(

Are you one of them book learners? feck you and get out of here.

I think this would be a perfect time to use one of the Toy Story memes....Blood, Blood everywhere (with Buzz showing Woody).

I didn't like it.

In the book there were more pointy elbows.

Why are you still being secretive. The episode has happened.

I watched it on the train on the way home and let out a little gasp. It was good stuff.

I can't fathom how you'd watch a show like this on your phone, I refuse to watch it on anything other than my 42" in 720p

Just seeing the b**k thread bumped again and knowing that venturing into it would result in so much pain and misery has me agreeing that all the learned b**k men and women as well as their poisonous thread of forbidden knowledge must be exterminated.

Bet they are cooking up ways to sneak subtle little spoilers into this sacred place of worship with only our subconscious noticing, thus managing to somewhat lessen our experience of viewing the one and true washed down and popularized format of The Story which the holy multinational TV network has gifted us.

How the hell do you spell black? And also, that's racist.

Don't try and trick me with your intellectual mind-games.
