Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Funny enough I find myself respecting the Lannisters more with every episode. Tywin is brilliantly cunning in a ruthless way, a 'stark' contrast to the barbaric and 'deeerp' ways of the Starks who just seem to be moving from one major calamity to another. I hope Arya, cripple worg kid and Jon Snow are just a little guileful than their now perished family members, if so then there might be hope the family doesn't become extinct

I love the "cripple worg kid" and "ice zombies" and "Kalisie" in this thead

Language of the innocent.

Ayra seems to share a lot of the same values as Daenerys...I want to know if they meet at some point but it seems too obvious.

They should probably ban themselves from naming any of their kids "Ned" as well, doesn't seem to bring much luck.

PS - A guy I play music with started to talk about reading the books. I love him but I broke his fecking neck. He's in hospital now. Yeah.

He's fecked, so don't open your God-damn mouths you illegitimate, disowned children of the Caf

Game of Thrones meets The Walking Dead in terms of plot development. People keep listing how the stories have moved forward but they haven't at all really.

Danearyeysys is still floating around the desert, has found another city of slaves she wants to free. YAWN. You just did this in the last 4 fecking episodes!

Theon, who cares about Theon? No one.

Jaime's story nearly gets moving on again so we could see what happens when his family see he's fecked and his hand has been chopped off but Nooooo, he had to run back to the same fecking place and now we have to start over again.

House Midget is still running around doing midgety things.

The Wildlings, who have been marching through fields of snow, are now marching through fields of grass. YAY.

Robb Stark takes 2 years to form a battle plan that might actually work but now he has a baby Chaplin so now I imagine he'll be distracted by baby talk and changing nappies, making up formula for the baby etc. FATHERHOOD YAY.

Can I just say I hate the fact this is based on books. It's impossible to tell exactly who has read the books and who hasn't, why I'll only read posts by posters who I know haven't read them - only for them to quote some wise-ass book reader.

You should all be branded with a tagline for me to put you on ignore.

The new Caf better have a mass ignore function. Then all of you feckers are gonna be on mine!

Must have been hell for those who watch this show with people who have read the books. The unbearable smugness would reach an all time high.

They'd probably look something like this for several hours after the first death...

Revan's smugness in this thread is unreal, he really acts like a know-it-all all the time. He shouldn't post in here and just stick to the book thread.

Wait is that the list the people who have posted in the Song of Fire and Ice thread and have come on here?

I guess so. I haven't read the b**ks, I started but then things came up. I only got upto about a third of the way through the second b**k, so I'm probably more familiar with the setting than the average casual viewer but nowhere near close to knowing everything that happens.

That said, I do know some of the major plot points (I'm personally not as bothered by spoilers as many people are) and fan theories.. I only talk about things that have been shown in the TV show in this thread though.

On a side note, Jon Snow must be the least convincing double agent in history.

It's been said numerous times in the book thread that people who have read the books should think very carefully before they post in here, and it's often easier to just not post at all. It's why I keep out of here (although your reactions are all hilarious, so thank you for that!)

I'd encourage all book readers to just GTFO from this thread. I'm now out, and never to return. Just like Grey Wind :(

I dunno, I don't think it's that hard to avoid spoiling things, you've just gotta think before you post. You've gotta avoid getting into proper discussions as well, if people know you've read the books they'll read way too much into every post you make.

Danny doesn't know the history that well (and the difference between Starks and Lannisters), but Lannisters are to blame for that. When Starks arrived in KingsLanding, Jaime had killed the king, Lannisters have sacked the city and killed the remaining Targaryans.

Ned together with Robert leaded the rebellion, but wasn't to blame about the massacres in KingsLanding.

Don't think that'll really matter to her. Her longest companion was her crazy brother. You think she's going to separate the Starks from the Lannisters and the Baratheons after getting indoctrinated by him?

I only use stuff from the show to post in here. I've let go plenty so as not to show bias. It's not hard to do if you have sense.

For all the criticism the Starks get for being noble idiots, Bran was pretty on the ball when he decided to send Rickon off somewhere for safe keeping. At least one member of the Stark family has noticed their tendency to attract bad luck.

I can't believe Frankie Boyle spoiled stuff on Twitter. He has a million odd followers as well. There should be some sort of law against this.

Oh and this is the same guy who turned to the police a few days back because he was receiving threats online.

Well that was amazing. What a tv-show this is.

Really love how this is written. The writer Martin probably read a hell of a lot of awful fantasy novels, so one day just went mental on his computer keyboard to create something brilliant. The Starks are not rewarded for being nice people, they are awful at the political game and (practically) get wiped out because of it.

Hate the Jon Snow character btw. Punchable face and meek. Hope he gets killed by the redhead but I'm guessing no.

Half a mind to pick up the books, but am afraid it would ruin the experience a bit.

Of the main high-born characters we are cutrently introduced to, my sweepstake on who will be alive by the end of the show:

Daenarys
Snow
Theon
Brann
Rickon
Jaime
Brienne

Damnit, you got it first......god I loved this episode.....I loved Season 3. They absolutely nailed 3 really big things for me(Dracarus!, Jaimes whole arc and the Red Wedding)....I'd have it as one of my favourite seasons of any tv show ever.

My concern now is that there a lot of people out there that don't watch the show and know what happens because of Frankie Boyle. They could easily spoil it for others. I'm not very confident of getting to series 4 without having it all ruined.

Tywin Lannister atm:

Tyrion, definitely Tyrion. GRRM loves the character; I don't think he has the guts to kill him.
