Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Book readers aren't allowed to point out the ages of characters in the show? Some of you lot need to give this TV vs books thing a fecking rest.
And that's what I'm complaining about. Someone put his age In the thread that made no sense in the show. I have been saying keep book knowledge out of the thread.

It's a ridiculous thing to say. How can that ruin your enjoyment of the TV show? Do you think the show makers are deliberately keeping Rickon's age hidden from us to reveal with a dramatic scene in the series finale, and now it's been spoiled due to those pesky book readers?

Typical bully can't actually fight

Jon Snow lived all his life in Winterfell. He's had nobility training, the same training Robb had as they sparred together. Afterwards he went to the Nights watch and he fought Wildlings etc

Ramsey Snow was always shunned by his father. He can hold himself in a brawl but he's no pro fighter

I think Sansa demonstrated that if she has to sacrifice family members to achieve an objective.. she is detached enough to do that. If anything she has been prepared to do that since day one when she done over Ned in favour of the Lannisters. This is a different context but she has a ruthless streak to her and it'll be interesting what her next goals are. I think she may make Jon an outcast and not take the threat of the white walkers seriously and he will team up with brotherhood without banners etc..either that or a love triangle between them two and LF.

Danaerys was great in last episode.. all of it worked and was flawless. Glad they sped up the Greyjoy journey.

Not a fan of how Rickon was killed.. not gruesome enough and by Ramsey standards mere child's play.
Battle itself was epic and the Vale knights arriving was predictable but well executed.

It's funny Jon Snow after that victory.. he came out of it a loser and his stock is low once again. Will be interesting to see how the parentage storyline fits in with him developing as a character because at the moment he comes across as a muscleman with nothing else to offer but a good heart.

Sansa had been used as a pawn for most of her life. She was promised to Joffrey in a bid to unite the Starks with Baratheons. Then she was married off to the imp with the plan of bringing the North under the crown's rule and then to Ramsey Snow.

Littlefinger was right (4mins), the wildlings are Jon Snow's army. The North are Rickon's and Bran's army. If the latter survive then she will return to the role of pawn and married off to seal an alliance with some big house. She doesn't want that and would gladly see her two brothers die to avoid that

Its a slippery slope Mak, no book information is the line we have drawn. Even if that is irrelevant details, its book information. Someone will think they're saying something minor and do something stupid. Fact.

Jesus. Have people got that little common sense?

Indeed. It looks like Sansa will look to claim the North. JS to return to the wall with his wildlings, the BWB, the BW and to meet up with Bran?

Sansa could find herself on the wrong side come the final showdown.

Jon won't get back to the wall as watcher. He'll be there as warden of the north from. The house of stark. And sansa will reunite whatever siblings and supporters she has left and rule winterfell. It's already season 6 ending, wont have enough screen time for another fall from grace for the stark boys

Littlefinger wants that job you know. I am sure that he will want oust Jon. Along with the wildlings, the Brotherhood without Banners and the Knightswatch, the bastard of Winterfell will lead an army of outcasts to the real war against 'the dead' is my guess.

Littlefinger wants the Iron Throne not Warden of the North.

My thinking is that they'll use Winterfell as a base of operations for the war against the White Walkers. The question is how will the Freys meet their end, my thinking is that Littlefinger will request Sansa unite the North and take out the Freys. This will then give Littlefinger the chance to use the combined army and march against the Lannisters. Lets also not forget that Littlefinger helped the Tyrrels murder Joffrey, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if Littlefinger and the Tyrrels joined forces to take out the Lannisters. But whats stopping Littlefinger doing that is the Freys. So thats next on the list for him to take care of.

So my thinking is that: North + Littlefinger takes on Freys. North then retreats back to Winterfell to take on the White Walkers while Littlefinger, Riverrun and Tyrrels take on the Lannisters.

We also have to consider that the Sand Snake bitch also wants the Lannisters dead. Basically, the Lannisters have a lot of enemies and the only ally they have left is the Freys.

lol.

Also was thinking something about Cersei and her plans

Imagine if her and Qyburn looking around wasnt about wildfire, but was about Gendry. Only reason is cos we havent seen him since he went rowing - my colleague and I were discussing how hes basically Roberts actual son (although bastard). But then wondered who the mother was - would be funny if it was Cersei (and instead of killing him actually just shipped him out) Imagine if she states that Tommen is a product of incest to basically screw Sparrow and Margaery (although it kinda screws Tommen which kinda goes against her character - but shes being backed into a corner by the no trial by combat deal).

You want DEM?? Here it is. Ned Stark returns to save the day!

Bran and Dany speculation -

Reckon he can warg into a dragon? Her perfect world etc thing seems like the sort of thing GOT will gladly corrupt then destroy, can't see her surviving as a result. Obvs the dragons seem like they will be crucial and i assumed she'd have to be around to get them to the final battle, but if Bran can take charge of the big one who's name I can't remember (Drogon?) then she doesn't need to make it all the way, necessarily. He's warged into his old wolf before so animals aren't necessarily off limits

And what about Dany/her dragons and army?

There has to be some shocking or bitter twist though.

He is too marginal. It could never happen.
It need not happen directly. He could become the Hand of the King (If that is the right title) and basically have the King in his pocket. I am expecting a Littlefinger vs Varys showdown at some point where the two manipulators represent two different Houses. Varys might seem like the underdog, but that might be his biggest weapon.

Marginal in terms of not being the focus of the show, but he has been instrumental in making so much of what has happened in Westeros happen.

Well he started everything didnt he? The hand of the king (that was dead originally - well was dead in ep1) was cos of LF (and getting Cats sister to do it). This got Ned as Hand, who LF turned on siding with Lannisters (didnt he get some piece of land for it)
He then helped Tyrells poison Joffrey to get away to marry Cats sister (then killing her).
He then pimped out Sansa to Boltons, then kinda rescued her (making her rely on him and his army).

Hes basically loving the chaos he started. Didnt he say something about chaos being a great ladder or something?

There were a few other things as well including pushing the buttons that led to Cat taking Tyrion prisoner.

Love Varys' line about him: "He would see this country burn if he could be king of the ashes."
