Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Would anyone be interested in what actually happens in future episodes (I don't know everything, just a little)? If so I can set up another thread and caveat it like "future events, don''t open if you don't want to know!" or somethig similar. Would ideally like mod approval first, not keen on getting banned the same day I get promoted...

Every time someone in GoT says 'ass', I'm one step closer to sending GRRM a strongly worded letter. He wouldn't want it this way.

Good to have the Hound back! I can't wait to see him kick some ass.

Bronn deserves his own show. Brilliant character. Need more Bronn.

I wonder what Sansa wrote & how that impacts the impending battle between the Blackfish & Jamie. Also, didn't Sansa's weirdo cousin say he would send his men to help her?? Surely they'll be along to save the day against Ramsey.

Arya should've seen that coming. It was obvious the bitch was going to come after her. A bit disappointing she wasn't more vigilant.

Don't care about Theon & his sister although I'm hoping they make a pact with Daenerys if only to get her across the sea to King's Landing.

That little girl (Lady Mormont?) was fantastic  Enjoyed that scene, the actress was very good.

So Margaery hasn't gone completely insane & is putting on a very convincing act. I hope that smug old bastard has his head crushed by Franken-Mountain.

Overall quite enjoyed that episode.

Almost certain it is Jaqen. In episode 6 of this season, when the Waif says "As I expected" Jaqen says "Shame, a girl had many talents." Pretty sure he was talking about the Waif in that scene and not Arya. He then said don't let her suffer.

The Waif slashed Arya in the stomach and stabbed her twice, twisting the knife in her gut while staring at her. Jaqen was testing the Waif and she failed.

Plus why didn't Arya have Needle?

Interesting... At first I thought there was no chance of it being Jaqen, though what you say makes it seem like a good possibility.

Having said that, I can't get past the size of him. I thought they just wore peoples faces and not their whole body, though who knows.

For all that Arya went through I don't think she'll die that easily. I've been thinking what if Waif was pretending to be Arya and Arya was pretending to be Waif ? They're both the same body type so that would be easy. Waif was paying those men off to seal her own escape. She would have left as Arya. It's a little far fetched but possible.

Wtf.. Why would anyone want that?

Doesnt Stannis count as a major player? Even though he was pretty much a jobber and lost two big fights.
Roose Bolton was a bit of a shock given the way it happened.
Having never read the books, the Viper and Joffreys deaths were big shocks in the way it happened (well the former moreso).

That Viper one... Jesus  I couldn't get up after and I didn't even like the guy. Most brutal shock I've seen on tv.

I thought similar but why would the waif be looking at the view like that (as if she was saying bye to a place she was leaving for the last time). And I don't think we saw Arya take anything (a bag, or whatever) from the temple. After all that setting up they can't let Arya die though, would make all the Bravos stuff pointless. Though that Stannis stuff arguably was too.

Anyway, more importantly, was that dude that turned Jon and Sansa down Lord Percy from Blackadder?

Great spot

Nice one, how did he find the experience?
Loved it. We were trying for years to get him on the show. He mostly works in the small indy scene and just the one location was the biggest thing he's ever worked on.

Just rewatched the Arya scene. To be fair, I was sure that the Jaqen version was far-fetched, but look at the screenshot - we see a girl dressed like Arya in her "assassin" mode! It's certainly not a coincidence. And, with that in mind, Arya's mimic when she talks to the boat captain is very strange, it looks like she tries to impersonate someone else (especially "why do you care" comment)

I'd be interested in knowing if you could PM me.

Jaime's Lannister armour is nice. The Lannister soldiers would look quite cool in general if it wasn't for those ridiculous helmets. I'm not sure which are worse, the Stark's or the Lannister's?

All are ridiculous compared to the one worn by Mace Tyrell in episode 6. Now that was a helmet.

Yeah Jamie's has a bit of a Samurai twist to it which is cool. I liked the Blackfish's armour too.

Interesting. I suppose it doesn't even have to be Jaquen. She could've just bunged someone some coins to impersonate her to draw out the assassin although like others have said I always assumed that you could only use the faces of the dead.

Also note that Arya walks like a rich person so I think she has rejected being no one and now is full stark

Makes no sense. Why watch the show if you want to know what happens beforehand?
Because it bugs the hell out of me and saves me time trying to guess what's going to happen. Some say it takes the fun out of the episode which is understandable.

Anyway, if anyone wants to know PM me. I don't know the whole storyline.

The whole Arya scene made very little sense. We got a random 90 scene where a major character just gets stabbed. Why would she be going to Westeros? Where did she get all the coin? Why was she standing on a wide open bridge smiling away when she knows the Waif is after her?

After all her training and experiences I think she is much smarter than that. That has to be another person wearing the Arya face.

She doesn't though.

That sounds terribly like book knowledge that wouldn't be known to TV viewers.
Never read the books or been near a book forum. The reason Rob was supposed to Mary Walder's daughter was to get through the River Lands to fight the Lanisters.
He couldn't get south without going through the River Lands.

Fair enough. He has been in all sorts of stuff from Spooks, Dr Who, Law and Order UK and Sherlock on TV and some mainstream films like 101 Dalmations and Notting Hill.

Just checking :)

Could be but if so the person doing the stabbing (presumably Arya) pulled a face off and revealed another fake face, the face of the assistant assassin. Why? To mislead who?
