Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Well delete your quotation of me and it's all gone.

Ok, it's no problem to speculate fyi. Just make sure you mention that it's based on trailer footage is all. :)

It's difficult with Arya as she can go either two directions. She can either head for Daenerys (who she knows nothing about) or go back to Westeros and her home. That's where her intended victims are so would make sense for her to go back. My money is on Daenerys as she'll have good chemistry with them all. While she'll be useful for Daenerys given she's a Stark.

Well as nobody asked my mate was the captain that arya booked transport with

It probably was a bit predictable that the Hound would return but he's a good enough character that I don't really mind. As with Jon's even more obvious return, sometimes the show needs predictable thing to happen or it doesn't really work.
Agree.

Plus I think this was a good way to handle a "comeback". Had they made him reappear in the middle of a scene as a "twist" like Benjan Stark did, it would have been pretty cringeworthy.

No. Trailer is considered spoilers for next episode. Which is why it should be spoilered. As some of us don't want to watch the trailer or know whats in it.

I really do need thread banning from this thread.

Not posted at all spoiler tags or not.

- "Next week on ..." clips and trailers aren't considered to be part of an episode and should never be posted even in spoiler tags.

People really need to read the rules.

Also, I am not sure about the whole logistics thing, but was it even possible for Snow and company to visit all those houses in the time it took the Hound to chop down a tree ??

Littlefinger ?

According to an interview I literally just read the show producers have said that they no longer give a feck about time because it makes the show boring.

In other words, some storylines are miles ahead of what they're showing us elsewhere and they'd rather show us action than what they did before which was boring segments of plot of people just walking around.

"You promised me a castle, a ton of gold, and a southern beauty" "I did, and you'll get that, a Lannister always ..." "Don't say it, don't fcuking say it"

 I love Bronn.

That's not what it says in the first post of this thread. Put it in the first post. This happened last week too.

Edit: I can imagine how you see it if you use this forum a lot. But why would casual people jumping only from the homepage stop by a thread from 2014? I've gotten wrong twice now for doing exactly what it says in the first post. Do not appreciate at all being called something due to that, to be honest. This time I even said before the spoiler, don't read it if you don't want future discussion. And the trailer I mentioned in 2 sentences in that spoiler is posted in this thread!!

He said Brotherhood afterwards. Which I guess wouldn't be Kingslanding given that the Brotherhood are in the wrong place. What were the sell swords called that Bronn paid for?
Oh, I don't remember. Might have to rewatch or Wiki it.

Yeah, it makes sense. With just 15 episodes left (presumably), they really don't have a choice. But I did wish there was a bit of a consistency to it though.

I was expecting the old lady to be the waif, but I wasnt expecting sooo many stabs shots. And then her to walk along whilst bleeding. Feck. I wonder where they go with that.

I don't count the amount of stabs but it was at least 2 right? I can't see how she can survive that. Unless Waif is the worst trained assassin and missed all her vital organs.

If that was actually Arya and she did actually get stabbed like that then i hope she dies. fecking 2 seasons of training to walk around without a sword throwing cash around.

Unless as noted before, the drink she had with Jaqen previously helped her to survive stuff like this (magic, yeah)

Is the hound a good guy or a bad guy?

Hes not a good guy
Hes not a bad guy
Hes.... the guy!

How can it be anyone other than Arya though?

Initially I was thinking maybe arya made some random person take the face of Arya, but then if it was the case, it wouldnt make much sense.
She basically got slashed across the stomach, then a stab, then a second stab which was then turned inside of her. But it wasnt really a major organ, or didnt seem like it.

She has been training with faceless people for two seasons. Not beyond the realms of possibility that it was Jaqeen wearing her face to test the Waif. Doubt it will be though.

With all the lost characters making their returns, guess it's only a matter of time before we see Gendry on his rowboat.
I somehow thought that it was him when they showed the boot in the first seconds.

It's arya, she has to die for the FM to use her face, or at least that's what i thought, so she's either arya or dead.

what was the deal with the letter Sansa wrote?

Well given the context of the problem they were discussing prior to that...IE the lack of troops....she was asking someone for help. Who do we know that might have troops, but she has not sent a request for help to? Brienne is on here way to the Tully's. So it must be Littlefinger or perhaps another person in the Vale.

Bit of a waste to cast Ian McShane in such a bit part role.
They also had Adebisi just for one phrase (well, I'm exaggerating, but just a little). And Richard Grant as a so far peripheral character (it's possible that he will play some part later though)

You'd think it was Littlefinger. But she could be sending it to her weakling young cousin the one Littlefinger controls. But that wouldn't be able to guarantee her troops, so it must surely be Littlefinger

Definitely was Arya. Seriously, though, they could have had done so much by Arya's story already. It's just been loitering around the edges of the same spot for ages. And I think she's a really good character.

Well, one theory I thought of is
Jaqen wearing Arya's face. The faceless men are basically contractual killers are they not ? They are not supposed to be subjective in their assasinations. It could be possible that the Waif being happy with assasinating Arya might have broken some rule of the Faceless God and Jaqen had to restore order. I know it's far-fetched and very unlikely, but just throwing it out there.

Also, apart from stashing away her sword, needle, did she have access to a lot of money ?
