Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Btw, who was that guy hanging from the tree who the Hound saw in the end ? I feel like I have seen him before, but I don't recall where.

Ian McShane. English actor that has been in loads of stuff. Lead role in deadwood.

. I mean is he that Berrick guy who was resurrected way back in Season 2 ?

Oh you mean the character.

Nah first time in it, he was just some traveller that picked up the hound when he was close to death.

Seriously, that episode had:
-return of Sandor
-Return of Bronn
-Blackfish was badass.
-Lady Mormont was one of the best debuts of a character
-Arya :(
-And actual return of Hound

Nice buildup episode.

Season 3 Premier I think, when Tywin was creating two new swords out of Ned's old sword.
Good shout.

Thanks. His face was familiar, but I thought I had seen him on the show earlier.

Surely, he's got to be more than just a traveller? I doubt whoever took care of the hound(At this point, I have no idea if he was resurrected or just taken care of) would have left him behind to be found by this guy and was influenced to leave his violent ways behind. He also said that he was previously some sort of fighter didn't he ? Seemed like some sort of bad-ass.

He literally told us everything about him, I'm not sure what I can add

Doesnt matter, hes dead now  Think hes irrelevant outside of the one episode anyway.

Good to see Greyjoys basically have a plan (get to Dany and make a deal).

Also good to see Jamie do something. I feel him and bronn are good together and at least, its not within the confides of crappy Dorne.

Yeah, excellent build-up episode. Bronn is just hilarious though. He beats Tyrion for the best comedic lines on the show.

Its over so you might have to find a download

Also still.... 62 men

Also, I am not sure about the whole logistics thing, but was it even possible for Snow and company to visit all those houses in the time it took the Hound to chop down a tree ??

what was the deal with the letter Sansa wrote?
Littlefinger ?

It's needed. If the show took geography and travel times seriously, nothing would get done. It's been happening since the very beginning of the show too so it's not like it's a recent thing. In the pilot, we see Cersei and Jaime in King's Landing, couple of minutes later and they're in Winterfell.

That was a great episode. Lady Mormont was hilarious. Nearly had a heart attack when Arya got stabbed.

Awww yisss!

mutherfeckin Sandor Clegane!

But Lyanna Mormont the real MVP.

After having had seasons where literally nothing ever seems to happen, this season has been such a stark contrast with how much story progression there is. Not sure how I feel about this tbh. Perhaps this might be due to the show writers no longer having to follow the books?
Kinda lends credence to the rumor that there's only 13 more episodes left after this season, as they're seemingly trying to speed things along towards a final conclusion.

So, were the Greyjoy siblings in Bravos when they were drinking and whoring ? Looked pretty similar to where Ayra was

That episode was so much better.

With GoT, it seems to depend as much on which storylines they focus on as anything else, that determines how much I'm going to like the episode.

Just found out it was last nights episode my mate was in.

It probably was a bit predictable that the Hound would return but he's a good enough character that I don't really mind. As with Jon's even more obvious return, sometimes the show needs predictable thing to happen or it doesn't really work.

Can't wait for the next episode
