Television Game of Thrones (TV) • The watch has ended

Where was the magic when she used the leaches? I was expecting to see some visual magic when she said Davos needed proof.

Also what is with that Sam? He's so fecking annoying and pointless now, and why did he leave his knife? The way the Whitewalker died was shit too

I was hoping something bad was gonna happen to the Joffmeister.

Yeah, dickhead...dropping that blade. Schoolboy error.

Really good episode though. Lots of hilarious profanity flying around and a surprise pair of tits. Best one in weeks.

Take the knife you feckin' idiot.

He'll probably realize it later and go back looking for it. He's admitted to being a coward and was more concerned about getting out of there, but I reckon he'll remember something he's read in a book and go back

Filler episode

We're left with the confirmation that Sam is indeed an idiot which was a bit predictable really

The Kaleesi & Lieutenant scenes looked like something off the cover of a Harlequin romance novel

I think Sam will come good and realize. He's shown glimpses of having superior knowledge where the Whitewalkers are concerned, and there has been more Sam and the Whitewalkers than anybody else.

He will be central me thinks

Fat Sam annoys me so much each time I see him, him and Sansa cannot die soon enough for me

Harsh! Very harsh ;)

Just a thought in general; those who have read the books are abundantly aware that they cannot talk book talk in this thread, but I wonder if those who have read the book and are keeping quiet (due to the rules) have opinions of characters based on what they know is going to happen in the season and beyond..

Honest question, as I don't know how far the series is straying from the books

Yes we made a promise to no longer post anything in here related to anything in the show at all, well, except like, commenting on how good this weeks tits were (very good, me thinks).

You can always send a PM if you'd like to know about differences or what not.

All I'm prepared to say is that the book thread is about nothing else but the fecking TV show these days.

Guys, you can spoil all you like. How many times do people have to quote the spoiler thread. Once the episodes been aired anywhere in the world it can be discussed.

The above makes sense in fairness. I didn't go near this thread until I had watched it a half hour ago

It has gotten to the point where mods are trigger happy with their ban rifle
Words like "books" get them all worked up

I don't go into the book thread because I haven't read the books and I don't want to know which posters have. I'd rather not know within this thread which posters have and have not read the books because their posts and opinions carry more weight.

If it starts ruining things I'll just drop out of the thread

Differences in tits? nice, big, small, saggy

The likable adventures of Samwell Tarly (only spoilers if you haven't seen episode 308)

Good episode.

Whilst its obvious to feel bad for Sansa, I also feel quite bad for Tyrion. Joffrey has tried to kill him, Daddy has no respect for him and a wife who will not love him. Will be interesting how long this 'marriage' lasts.

I enjoyed the scenes between Davos & Stannis and between Cersei & Margaery.

 when Joffrey took away the stool at the wedding ceremony. Little cnut.

Daenerys continues to build her army. I can't wait to see her launch an attack on Kings Landing. Between her soldiers she's gaining and the dragons, she should win. Meanwhile, Robb is at some fecking wedding and has done feck all.

I'd like to see Arya reunited with her mother but her story and character is the most interesting imo, so it would be nice if she continued her own independent adventures.

Unless I misheard, Daenerys said it's only been 1 year since she got her dragons. I would've thought a bit longer time had passed since the end of season 1.

When he threw them on the fire, the first 2 leaches just burned, but the 3rd one (Joffrey's) popped and blood splattered everywhere. I think that was the difference, but i'm guessing...

The first one burst as well, it just wasn't shown in close-up. The camera was pointing away from the hob when the second leech hit the flames, which makes me think the whole exploding thing wasn't an important plot-point.

Much better episode this week... it felt like stuff was actually happening, and several plot points were actually being progressed... which is good!

Glad Dr. Onion is back in the picture... Good actor, good character. I thought Red Haired las was going to be doing another smoke baby, but instead it seems is going for leech babies? Whatever works... didn't she say that they would have to "sacrifice" the kid though? Or did I make that up?

The Wedding stuff was all great. Joff being a complete twat was highly entertaining, especially taking the stool, which I swear could have just been improvised on set it was that good a move. (Seriously, taking that stool was such a quality dick move to round off the dickness that he'd showed before... though then he further compounded the dickness by threatening to rape Sansa, probably with a crowbar). The taking of the stool also managed to highlight what a stupid bint Sansa is... just fecking kneel down you idiot, it's not rocket science.

But yeah, Drunk Tyrion was great, him threatening Joffery was a great tense moment, before Tywin laid down the fecking law (what a great man)... Charles Dance makes this show. Cersei telling Flowers that nobody cares what his father thinks was also great.

Finally, my only gripe in the episode was that I thought Samwell was going to finally die. It would have been a glorious, glorious moment celebrated from now until the end of time... bastard knife... which he then decided to leave? What a fecking idiot.

Hardly a plot spoiler, is it?

But okay, forget it: they're referred to as beautiful in the TV show as well and they are not. They are okay-looking girls.

What did I say before. Just act as if the books to not exist. It doesn't matter how small or irrelevant the detail is. THE BOOKS DO NOT feckING EXIST!!!!
